A Chinook flew by my house today as they usually do. I heard it far away and instantly new it was a Chinook with that deep thud. I love the sound of it. I'm in MI USA

The rudder pedals are called rudder pedals, the "power lever", is the Collective. The fitting of the upper ramp portion shown in the instructions, (the tongue) is wrong. It is NOT a separate piece. It retracts completely into the inside of the RAMP - which it can do separately, allowing the crew to fly with just that section retracted. Obviously it does retract when the ramp is lowered. The Pressure Re-Fuel point is on the Stbd. The roof, especially the rear fuselage is pure fantasy. ^ devoid of any detail - they could have at least added the quilting which was originally fitted over the area.
The blades *do not bend like that,* neither the old pre '84 metal blades or these fibre composite blades. They have the barest sag and appear almost straight when at rest. My advice straighten them out completely if you can & rely on gravity to create the right effect.
Shame they haven't released an RAF HC1 since Italeri no longer sell one. If you want to convert it, you would have to fair in the top of the fuel tanks so they are level with the ends. I don't think I'll be bothering with this effort.

I appreciate the insight. I got my first and only ride in an F model out of Marmal (AFG) to one of the satellite FOBs in RC-N. I think it was 4th ID AVN. That's one beautiful, fat a$$ girl that shakes every which way at once. Gonna stick with the Italeri kit. 🤙

They release a F version and I see a RCAF CH-147 as a future dresser topper

Fully agree with your conclusion. On the outside it’s a solid improvement over the Italeri kit, especially the surface detail. But they really missed the mark on the interior. The sound proofing doesn’t look halfbad, but it’s all very much oversimplified. The ramp area especially is missing a lot of details that are all very visible with the ramp down. I’m building two at the moment and they really require a lot of work to get them up to standards. At least the fit is very good for the most part

We had a dog called haze , he was a black Belgium shepard crossed with a Rottweiler. He used to look up at things in the sky and used to go mad ( in a good way) on fireworks night but his favourite, the thing he lost the plot the most, was if ever a Chinook was flying over . He loved them . M
