Australia should be on this list. It’s getting ridiculous expensive!
Fax
Same as America...but like he said at the beginning of the vdo...it's average the whole country, not just the big cities in that country. So, the big country like usa, australia, canada, etc...will not be on the list.
@@SideWalker562 ... most of the population of Australia live on the east coast. Thus making it a much 'smaller' country.
I thought it was pretty cheap compared to Europe.
@@gerafinali4384 lol
Thanks you so much for this remarkable video about these great countries across the globe in 2023❤❤❤
Nice video, thanks!
Seeing all comments, it seems everybody lives in the most country in the world. Nice video, thanks.
I think Canada is more expensive than Japan now. It depends on which cities but Toronto and Vancouver rival Tokyo in cost.
Montreal is cheaper
I dont think so hahaaha u must visit here 😂
I was thinking the same.
You are sooo right! You go to the grocery store and spend 100 dollars, you come back with almost nothing!
@@iluvanimals4evr go to tokyo...i spend 120 euros for a capsule hôtel (2m2) and 60 euros for fresh sashimi...buying à car is also much more expensiv than Toronto.
I lived in the UK and France, earned about the same in both countries, but cost of living was way higher in France than the UK.
From what I’ve seen it really depends on where you live in either.
@@mrb152 Sure, but by the cost of living, apart from accommodation, what is taxes, insurance, health care, food.., and that doesn't really vary from town to town.
@@gerafinali4384 yep and Monaco is the most expensiv place on earth.
He made up this list himself!
Australia and Canada are in the top 10 most expensive according to global data, yet not mentioned, I've been to Europe, no where near as expensive. Barbados is not a country that can be ever ranked against first world countries the absurdity of his list is obvious
@@signefurax933 Monaco is not a country that can be ranked against major nations such as Canada Australia and the US. Blink and you miss it
Switzerland is very expensive. Imagine a small regular coffee cost €5.50 in a cafe in Lucern. But boy people there look good, and 6 out of 10 women are walking around with their LV and designers outfits & bags. I want to live there.
Well with their wages, that coffe is cheap I guess. If people in my country had wages like in Switzerland, me and my mom would live in a normal house and she didn't have to worry about how much money she has in her account each and every day... Not that I am complaining, I am happy that I have roof on top of my head and bed to sleep in and food to eat, but still...
Well at least scholarship covers my transport expenses since I study very good, so at least one thing she doesn't need to worry about. I mean 100€ enough for month and there is even left for idk some snack or something.
But prices here grow each day(except fuel, which compared to Germany or some other places is cheap.) But still, prices grow, heat and electricity taxes grow 2× and even 4× more, but wages remain the same...ah they will make minimal wage higher to 650 or something € which is still funny considering it will not change anything. Either you live with 540€ and pay for idk coffe 1-3€ or you live with 650€ and pay 3-6€ for coffe. Doesn't change anything.
But government increases their wage frequently because they are surely working "so hard"...
Our president even said 2 years ago when there was COVID and christmass coming, he said: " Well, those who died, of course won't celebrate Christmas...🤦
Our government is stupid and just steal money fron country while doing nothing, but live in the most expensive apartments, villa's or houses, while there are people who worry about how to save enough money for bread and milk...😔
@@raivopelcis551 - Very true. 👍👍. Where do you live? I live in Germany and many people are struggling on a daily basis. I am glad that I am a minimalist and grateful that I have a place to sleep and enough food for my 2 meals a day.
@@clairechloe5294 I live in Latvia.
@@raivopelcis551 - Thanks for your reply.
@@clairechloe5294 sure!🙂
Watching from Brampton, Ontario, Canada ❤❤❤❤❤
Australia should be on this list. Crazy expensive
Not as expensive as New Zealand.
New Zealand should be on this list. Housing is already unaffordable here but the cost of living is getting astronomical while the salaries are the same. Situation is getting pathetic.
they should have a list of least affordable countries. Nz would top the list of western nations.
I would have put Australia on there for sure
I live in Ireland and yes I can absolutely assure you that living here is expensive.
I live in Ireland, and it’s expensive at the moment 🇮🇪
Swissland prices are really crazy.
As usual your content is full of fact, information and interesting to watch ❤
❤️❤️
i live in the Black forest of germany about twenty minutes from Switzerland. the swiss come across the border to buy cheaper food , real
estate , gas etc l They will outbid most germans when a property hits the market ,which really pisses us off .
All the people saying Australia should be on the list.. you guys obviously haven’t been over the ditch to NZ. You make double to triple the salaries that people in NZ make and most things are still cheaper in Australia. You are still doing fucken well compared to a lot of other countries.
Yeah NZ is unaffordable but thsts cos of wages being low in some (not all) areas. NZ has its pros and cons regarding costs of living etc. Depends where you live and what you do for a job. It's a very free market economy so next to no laws regarding small business ownership if you don't have staff. Definitely more for older ppl who managed to buy a house before 2011 but there are still areas that are affordable and will prob remain that way thanks to the climate. But yeah doing things the normal way doesn't work in NZ.
Switzerland is extremely beautiful but super expensive especially as a traveler
Why Australia is not there? Have you been to Sydney ?
Something to consider is the standard of living compared to income. Europe you had better have a really good job if you want to own a house! Apartments are mini compared to the USA for the same $$.
But then you do get healthcare, affordable universities, holiday and social security that is worthy of the name. Standard of living isn't just housing size.
I think Norway should be the first one with high quality.....
Coming near the end of the vid, I thought "hey, did we just lose our reputation for being the most expensive country"? But oh well, here we are again 😅 Greetings from Switzerland 🙋♀
Why isn’t Canada on this list? It definitely should be
Communist country
Canada is not more expensive than Japan (#12). Plus if you live outside of the 3 major cities, c.o.l is ok. By city, numbeo places the first cdn city at #56.
@@iluvanimals4evr well, I think it can be both- "expensive" for a Canadian but still not comparatively to other countries. Plus, the stats just don't support you- including this past year's comparative global economics. But sorry you're feeling so pinched.
Canada is huge, the most expensive places are the northern territiories and the cheapest place is Alberta
No it shouldn't!
Austria is so high aswell 4th highest taxes in general, i dont usnderstand why it isnt on here
Probably because they have housing costs well in hand? That is the biggest factor for most countries, so if that's reasonably priced that's going to take a big chunk out of the costs.
Canada should be on this list
Laughs in San Diegan at the stated monthly cost of living for these cities.
Israel and Australia. Both crazy expensive.
Wages are high. Highest minimum wage in the world
@@Glenn-ei3xp not in Israel. It’s about 1/3 of Switzerland’s minimum wage
@@GuyBernfeld sorry i should of said that’s in Australia
Australia and Canada should be on the list....!!!
I live in Cayman and it is more expensive than all of your list
in singapore i'd to spend usd750 monthly just for cigarette & wine..
I think Finland should be here, with a taxing rate that ranges between 23-40% of your income
Edit: Typo, it can actually go up to 56% of your income
Why? They are not measuring by purchasing power in this video, and even if they did Finland would not end up anywhere near the top 10 in the world or just Europe then either.
4 to 5 k a month? where did that come from?
Monaco is a Country and it is absolutelly on Nr1 1 squaremeter costs on averege 50,000€
They did mention they wouldn't include microstates. Monaco is smaller than a normal city.
Surprised Lichtenstein isn’t on here
It's a microstate. Besides it's in the Swiss Franc zone.
I'm in a 1 bedroom in north fort worth texas, over $1600 a month....your prices sound low for these expensive locations, I feel like I'm being completely ripped off now even more than I already did lol
I heard that renting in London is around £2500 per month . I don't envy anyone paying those prices. I'm from Durham UK and whilst things are going up here as well . We are still affordable
An average rent for a two bedroom house or flat around here is about £500 per month . I'm retired and own my home I'm pleased about both situations.

Norway,absolut.
Australia is rural, remote and very expensive
Do you know the definition of rural ? Most live in cities .Yes remote enough away from you .
Australia is not rural. Most people live in cities. Not remote if you live there. A wonderful place to live with a very high standard of living. Only expensive if you come from elsewhere as wages are high even for low status jobs.
I want to move to Iceland or Switzerland one day
Norway fact🤨
israel top 5 for sure
tel aviv is more expensive than UK or USA
some thing weird is happening around the world , every country becoming more expensive by the time ,it's seems like it's on purpose
oh wows.UAE just disappeared
Im living in Iceland its true everything is so expensive in Iceland, housing and health is so much expensive, a single room for a single person cost 700 to 800 euro.
It's cheap lol
700 to 800 euros sounds cheap if you mean a livable apartment. How expensive is it to rent a 2-room flat there?
@@kadya1712 2 room flat 1300 euros
@@kadya1712 it depend on flat is good or normal so 2 room flat starts from 1000 euros
@@kadya1712 no its not cheap if you have normal salary
No matter where you go in this world, wages have dropped far behind the cost of living. At some point something has to give and it won't be the minority demanding nor making these changes.
Luxembourg is cheap comparing to the netherlands
Almost every City and State in the US the rent for 1bed is $1,300
CA NO WAY TO FIND
A STUDIO FOR THAT
Australiaaaaa!!! Especially Sydney . It’s getting ridiculous now
With 3’500 $ it’s not fun to live in Switzerland, I would put that number higher.
New Zealand should be on this list
bro lithuania is firs the plastic bag where u put fruits and stuf like thet choust 1 euro for one small beg
Watching from Qatar😎 Qatar is so expensive🙂🙂
But don't you live tax free there?
High quality of life can be costly.
Some don't have high quality of life but they are still expensive.
Thats i live in Texas cast mi 250 a month house is paid off
This should be compared with average wage and taxes to know which one is the most expensive for real.
Median(not average) net income vs prices adjusted for differences that exist in tax packages(which are very different from country to country) but of course, the list would be dominated by third-world countries then( which is the most expensive compared to net salary/lowest local purchasing power) And if you only focused on Europe the second world countries(Moldova, Albania, etc.) Would dominate.
Geez a two bedroom apartment where I live is minimum 2,800
I honestly ask where Poland is?
New Zealand and Australia both are crazy expensive! I have lived in both countries for over a decade, I don't want to anymore! I'll just go back to my own motherland which may not have the best environment, but it has the necessary resources I need to survive. At least I won't have to pay $450 fine for every minor traffic mistake! I'm not gonna be ripped off by paying huge amounts of tax! Neither of the countries have good judiciary and healthcare system. Doctors aren't that professional. You'll have to wait at the emergency for hours only to be invalidated. Even the police are lazy, they treat criminals like friends and gaslight the main victims. There are many news articles on how weak Australian and New Zealand laws are! In Asian countries you personally know people in the judiciary system who can help you to put someone in jail if they harass you. Asian countries have more manpower than other countries, people always know someone who can help. Asian countries may be overpopulated, but you always end up finding someone who is genuine if you ever need help. Australia & NZ is so isolated that during times of need no one is there!
Just curious. Where is your Motherland and why did you leave it in the first place?
Dude
I lived in NZ for almost 20 years
I disagree with u
U sound very negative about NZ and Australia (. Also lived there)
Both aren’t perfect but what u said is totally nonsense
The Police force is very professional
Medical expenses ? Did u pay for them ? NOOOO
Whilst the media does hype things up in NZ making it seem less safe than what it really is ill admit that the country is over rated. The crap that we thought only happened in other places is now happening here in NZ. I remember back in the day watching a kid get arrested in the US for saying something online and thinking "thank God I live in NZ where you can rant all you like and nobody gives a shit and gives you time to chill".... not anymore, it's really authoritarian here now. There are so many laws and I fear the police far more than I fear the criminals.
Im from switzerland so everything is cheap for me 🥶
For $5 million dollars , you don't buy much of a house in Sydney Australia
Why not Bermuda its so damn expensive
NYC?!
Not a country.... And even though NYC is one of the most expensive cities, we are talking countries and you can live fairly cheap in alot of US states
In the past year, Canada has risen higher than any G7 country
I think you need to normalize to the US Dollar. Even Tokyo is not expensive in Japan now.
It amazes me that you totally missed Monaco. It is the most expensive country to live in and it is also a tax haven. Plus, it is probably the safest country to live in, in the world. It has a comfortable climate year round. How do you keep failing to mention this country ?
Singapur
Canada
Ohhh dear 🤦♂️🇮🇪
i don't think so --australia is nb 1
Australia is number 1. Minimum $5000 usd. Per month
Most expensive is. Australia phillipines some price like Austria don’t belive its true
Canada is definitely very expensive to live in
It’s truly becoming impossible
Yeah I'm live expensive country in the world Iceland 🇮🇸 😅
EA could live in switzerland from birth to death
Im sorry but beers and food are more expensiv in switzerland than irland or denmark...Bienne, Genève, Lausanne and ski stations are horribly expensiv.
USA, Australia, Spain, Canada, France, Russia, Italy, Argentina and the Netherlands.
Spain is also very cheap compared to the rest of Western Europe. This is a strange list you have here.
@@Snowshowslow
But Spain high unemployment.
@@shauncameron8390 Yes very true! Sadly :( But the list in the video was not about where it would be hard to make a living but where it just costs a lot. Otherwise it would be entirely different countries still, I imagine.
Australia
Is the
Most ridiculous pricing in world not in list lol
WHY ISNT MONACO HERE
People in Europe have relatively low income, high taxes and high prices. The only reason why they keep living there is the belief that they have high living standards. Pretty much the same as in 1984 by George Orwell.
😁😂damn, what a logic----
true.. the living standard.. had better living standard in india
@@apteka6014 GDP is a terrible way to measure standard of living
Next time in english please!
I have heared Israel is very expensive
I think Monaco is the most expensive of the world 😉
