Just read that she is auditioning to get into a music school. She could have launched a pop career right now, but she chose to get a proper education, and took the route everyone does. That shows how grounded she is.
What's amazing is that the music isn't electronically altered to produce the sound, its just her, pure and simple. Just the voice of amira.

I know it's a long way from Christmas but you have to hear Amira's version of Little Drummer Boy.

Guys, guys, enough already! One of the best young operatic classical singers and you are focusing on her non operatic performances? Please!!!
How about The Flower Duet with Corlea Botha from Classics is Groot in 2017 at the age of 13, stunning performance of the most beautiful opera arias. Or especially for BP 1, Nessun Dorma. Same year, same concert will knock your eyeballs out of your head.
Even Nella Fantasia from Afikaans is Groot November 2016 when she was 12, stunning and very emotional performance. Song by Ennio Morricone, a movie score called Gabriel's Oboe that Sarah Brightman pestered him for years until he finally allowed her to enhance it with lyrics that turned it into a classic song performed by many of the top singers in the world.

Hi Luigi and thank you for the comment, we do appreciate how great an opera singer Amira is and we have reacted to a few of her more Operatic songs, we were interested to see if she sang anything other than opera and have been impressed by that also,.
We will of course return with more from Amira and more opera.

She's 13 here, and looking so Beautiful. I've listened to quite a few performances by Amira, and I've Never heard her hit a bad note---not even close. And her voice just captivates me. She is simply STUNNING!! I would love to hear Angelina do this song, and to hear Amira sing Angelina's "Million Miles". They are my two favorite female singers today, and they couldn't be more different musically. But as great as they are as singers, they are both even greater human beings. As always, I love you guys. And it warms my heart that you have embraced both of these prodigies. Till next time. 😊😊

You may be interested to know that Coleske Artists recorded her third album in about August 2017, but their copyright only covered South Africa, so they sought Universal Music Group (UMG) to provide international cover, and that took about eight months - hence the delay in release of the album. One needs to understand that the way International copyright works, is by each sovereign country becoming a signatory to the Berne copyright convention (1886); copyright can only be enforced under the laws of the country in which a breach occurs. So there are a number of international companies who maintain offices in as many countries as possible, and the applicant for copyright has to come to a licencing agreement with one such company, so it can claim ownership in whatever country a breach occurs. Thus Coleske had to establish a licencing agreement with UMG (who have an agreement with CZcams whereby any monies YT may be prepared to pass on to the owner of a video, go to UMG instead), and UMG had to then claim ownership in each and every country in which it has a registered office, and the government of that country has to accept that claim - hence the delay. If you look under "See More" in the heading of a video, you will often come across reference to UMG.
This also has the by-product that CZcams take its cut on any video, and pays tax on its earnings to the U.S. Government, and then passes the remainder on to UMG - who take their cut, and pay tax on it to the U.S. Government, and pass the now much smaller remainder on to Coleske Artists, who again take their cut and pay tax to the South African government, and then distribute the smell of what is left to their artists, the owner of the venue, their orchestra, their sound crew - so Amira gets about the price of a milkshake from her Coleske Artists videos - they are really only of advertising value to her. That's why she is now putting out her singing under her own label, and why she is her own manager.

Written as a tribute for her Grandma, who encourage her to tryout. Her Grandmother past away I believe just before the semi tryout. It is a beautiful. I love this album all the through. Great reaction. I would give you a recommended video, but I love them all.
Thanks again for your nice reaction! "In the stars" was written and composed by South African singer-songwriters Riana Nel and Joe Foster, especially for Amira's third album "With all my heart". The video was produced in 2017 when Amira was 13 years old. The CD was released on March 3, 2018, shortly before Amira's 14th birthday and only 2 months after she had emigrated from the Netherlands to South Africa.
Thank you for this information! I have always been under the impression that Amira wrote it herself. So, now I know that it was written especially for her. I have also heard or read that she dedicated the song to her Grandmother who passed away shortly after Amira's HGT audition, and that it's about their relationship and Amira's missing her. Do you know if that is true?
Also, I have a little five year old granddaughter. Facially, she and Amira look like twins in this video! This is one of my top favorites of Amira!

It’s obvious by all the varying Amira requests that you may have a conundrum as to which performances to chose, so I might as well put my 2 bobs worth in. I’ve already requested on a two occasions to react to ‘’Ave Maria ‘’ by Gomez at the Canisius Church when Amira was eleven. This performance showcases all her amazing attributes, such as her powerful voice, beautiful vibrato, voice control & a passion that would leave many a professional envious.
Also as mentioned, ‘’Flower Duet with Corlea Botha when Amira was 13. I’ve heard many renowned singers perform this, but not to the standard of Amira & Corlea.

At 13 yrs of age and I call this perfect singing and I say that because her signing touches my heart and anyone that can do that is on an extremely short list.

This is a tribute to Amira's grandma, who loved to hear her sing but sadly died during the HGT competition. She also sang O Mio Babbino Caro at her funeral (on You Tube).

I have noticed that this performance of this song seems to be the only time she released it. It’s obviously very personal to her. May God bless her.
It was written especially for Amira, and she sang it in memory of her Grandmother who was able to watch Amira's audition on Holland's Got Talent, but sadly passed away shortly thereafter, before she was able to see Amira's second HGT performance. That's a tough burden for anyone, especially a 9-year old girl, to carry through a competition, but she did it like a professional.

Not my favourite Amira song, it hasn't got the fireworks that some of her other performance's have. Just a beautiful gentle ballad in memory of her grandmother, Elsa. It's the same theme as the album opener,( With all my heart) called Drift away. Continuing to connect with someone who has passed.
The title track With All My Heart is very good. A few fireworks in that, and the duet Follow your Heart, sung with Ruhan du Toit, is also worth a mention. Some of these songs have been paired with very striking visual's on you tube by an Amira fan called Ray Vandenburg, the Follow your heart one shows the very close bond between Amira and her father. Ray calls them Song Stories, and they are worth checking out. He often adds English subtitles too, which is useful.
There are a fair number of fan cam phone recordings of Amira, the quality varies from good to a bit rough. There is one of her rehearsing Funicula Funiculi, which is entertaining, and pretty good. I mention it, as it is less operatic, it's an Italian folk song along the lines of O sole mio.

Her Dutch song Zoals Vrienden Doen sounds very Irish to me. It's the flutes that come in at the middle eight that gives that impression.
In this song she reminds me to Sarah Brightham.

Performed in Amira's 2020 streamed Concert "African Christmas with Amira & friends", then aged sixteen.
Unfortunate very few of Amira fans knows anything about real opera. They more are day dreaming. Her Vergine Degli is sung with her MUSICAL voice which she predominantly uses. If you want hear her closest to a true opera voice there are very few videos where she does so. One of them is her tribute to Morricone and as you can hear her voice then changes to quite a typical not so pleasant opera sound. @@dafyddllewellyn6636 Her true operatic vibrato in the tribute is wobbly,-wavering slow and not balanced and therefore not likeable like most other trained opera singers, just because when you shout to be heard over the orchestra the unattractive wobbling is the natural result. When she uses her natural and musical voice her vibrato is balanced and mostly beautiful, especially her spinning vibrato is fantastic.
