71 year old female here. Have been getting up at 4am since 21 years, doing yoga between 5 & 6. After that going to the gym, workout for one hour and sauna 20 minutes. My physique astonishes people. Still the same weight as when I was 18, flexible and strong.

It's exactly what you said, Dante. Some of these ideas we know already, but somehow don't fully realize. Hearing somebody explain these things more explicitly and hearing your personal experiences with it helps a lot. From now on, if I skip my morning exercise I won't just say "too bad, tomorrow is another day", but I'll realize that I missed an important opportunity to work on long term goals. Thanks!

H Dante, I am also big on lists and keeping a morning schedule. I have been doing this since I retired in January. It helped me through a rough transition from working 5 days a week to not having a job to go to. My day starts with a big glass of water with some iodine, then 10 to 15 minutes of prayer, feed my old dog and then go for a walk in the first morning sun. Three days a week I then go to the gym for strength training and some cardio. I have found this helps my mind and my soul!

With all of the carnivore CZcams channels I have been reluctant to make a lot of videos. Work has been a priority, but I am trying to make more videos for the people who like my information.

I love that t-shirt. Is it available in your store?
He comes across as an angry guy, I would be uncomfortable around him and I can hold my own.
I've watched more of the video and I definitely do not like this guy. His anger is palpable, his affect is not healthy. He doesn't seem to have the empathy a person needs to make progress. Dante has done all of these same things but approaches it with humility, understanding and compassion. He might be right about some things but how he approaches it isn't healthy, how he speaks. His tone and affect drip anger.
Dante, it's okay sometimes to decide to sleep in. It is okay sometimes to give ourselves a break as long as we are making good progress in our lives. We don't have to be draconian because that brings its own issues. The way he approaches progress, with anger is not healthy.
Please don't emulate his approach. Yours has brought you so far, look at all you have achieved. You can take the positive from him but don't emulate his approach.
Getting up and getting started at the same time everyday is a good rule but there are times where it is appropriate to break that rule. His approach is no exceptions, go hard, be angry, but that isn't healthy. Wisdom is knowing when it is right to give ourselves a break. If find ourselves breaking the rules three times a week, that's a problem. But it's important to know when it is correct and healthy to do it differently.
It's important to know when to be kind to ourselves and to those around us. When we are kind to ourselves we accomplish much more and we make more progress.
Dante, please remember that anything we learn from others is subject to qualification. It's great to learn from the angry guy or from Peterson but hold to your own judgment and understanding. Don't let someone else's supersede yours.

Hard agree. I like Jocko but life is a balance and cortisol from over stressing is real and will cut you down in the long term.
Prioritize the important things, do them early but honestly carnivore helps by removing the pointless anxiety attached to the work. Less lists, more do

Another great video, Dante. It is a blessing to see you are working through your challenges and getting back to what is healthiest for you. Sticking to a routine works best for me. Up at 4am, work day or weekend, start with prayer and excercise, get the food ready for the day, and whatever follows I have the ammunition in reserve to deal with it. And boy, it's been coming fast and furious at me lately, too, but that foundation of proper diet, relationship with God and my wife and family, healthy body and mind, and quiet time to plan and prepare has allowed me to keep calm and "strategic" and get it all handled. God bless you, my friend.

Interesting to hear this from Jocko...and you. It's kind of, (not sure if I should use these words), but it's "given me permission" to rearrange my mountainous to-do list. I have limited physical time to do things, and I'm beyond frustrated.
What I also find interesting, the more people I talk to, of all ages and lifestyles, so many of us are trying to get everyday life stuff done, and we're just exhausted.

Man, I know changing jobs can really toss your world around and it takes time to get your footing. But for me, I am a boiler operator/stationary steam engineer and my schedule goes from days to nights every 6 weeks! I’m only 6 days into this carnivore journey and I need help lol

I wish I could do a checklist but i cannot. My spinal injuries dictate how I feel from one minute to the next. Very hard to stay on track with anything. I just fast when I can’t cook and I get as much done as I can- when I can. Everyone has different circumstances so ya gotta figure out how to work with what ya got but never give up.
