If you think you have CIRS, but you aren’t able to afford the treatments, eating a carnivore diet while also getting extra sun exposure and eating omega 3s (seafood!) does help some people to feel relief from symptoms. Removing yourself from an environment with mold and avoiding excess environmental and dietary toxins is never a bad idea, but I know it’s not always an easy fix. And if none of that gets your symptoms to go away, PLEASE know that there are ways to make the Shoemaker protocol more doable. THERE IS HOPE, and you don't have to be a millionaire to find healing by using this protocol. ❤

I’m 72 and I’ve tried every diet possible. No lasting success. I tried carnivore and ate intuitively. I lost 14 lbs in the first month and after 4 months I’ve lost another lb. My goal was not to lose weight, but to reverse health issues. I have so many wins and am working on others. I love eating this way. I feel so much better.
I'm a 49 yo male. I lost 135 lbs. in 12 months. I'm still going - down another 10 lbs. this month. I eat until I'm "comfortably stuffed" and feel great all the time. Blood work is perfect, A1C is 530, eczema is gone, heartburn is gone, energy is high everyday, sleep is solid, thinking is clear - no more searching for the words I want to use, I have not felt this good since I was in my early twenties. I eat beef, butter, bacon, eggs, shrimp, and occasionally some salmon. Best decision I ever made for my health. If you are on the fence, try it for 90 days, IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
I lost 125 lbs in 13 months. I have always tracked my calories and weighed my food. I’m a food addict. Been carnivore for 2 years.
I’m 1 year and have not lost 1 lb. I am starting to have a lot of hair loss and it’s very frustrating.
Way to go Sondra… WOW!!!😊

Hi Kelly. I know this sounds weird, but yesterday I actually FELT my body break through the belly fat barrier. This morning I stepped on the scale, and my weight was the lowest since starting my carnivore journey. 😅❤
Started my carnivore today Friday 02 08 2024 wish me luck

PATIENCE!!
I’m 528 days into carnivore and I can’t even put into words has amazing I feel both physically and land mentally as well as spiritually.
I’m down 97 lbs (300 lbs to now 203, my lowest weight since I was 20, and I’m 62!!!) and…
I’ve reversed/cured T2 diabetes, high blood pressure, IBS, acid reflux, brain fog, chronic fatigue, arthritis in my knees so bad I could hardly walk, depression, anxiety and a lot more…
My energy level, mental clarity and focus is off the charts and I feel…
LIKE A PROPER NATURAL HUMAN IS SUPPOSED TO FEEL!!!😊😊
This gives me hope! I have all those problems but my knees are horrible and painful. I’m looking forward to being normal again.
I’m a 73 year old female on only one med. fairly sedentary, starting carnivore today. Need to loose 35 or more pounds! Yes carbmanager, free.
I reached my ideal weight being Intuitive Carnivore! ❤❤❤❤❤
That's awesome!!! I've lost a lot eating like this too. 😊
"Hello, gorgeouses ! I'm thrilled to share my progress with you - nearly 10 months into the carnivore diet, I've overcome my cravings for sugar, carbs, cigarettes, and alcohol! I made videos therapeutic workouts have made me incredibly strong, and I'm now crushing it at the gym! Wishing you all the best on your own health journeys!"
I have wanted so badly to be Inuitive and I have tried to go back to that a few times. The good news is that I seem to be able to maintain my weight with intuitive eating, I'm getting pretty good at that! 😅 But for weight loss I seem to need to keep an eye on the macros and keeping my fat macros to 60%-70% while knowing what my TDEE is for weight loss (10% deficit). It's not what I love doing but it works when I'm willing to do it!
I’m EXACTLY the same. Glad to know ahead of time I already know how to maintain.
Great stuff Anita!!
I’ve been tracking every day using an app called “Keto” for the past 526 days and have lost 97 lbs (309 to now 203 lbs, my lowest weight since I was 29 and I’m 62!!)…!!😊
Spot on, Anita!
@InnerGoddessAffirmations - What does your diet look like now, if I may ask? Do you still track calories?
Same
I have been eating carnivore intuitively for three years. I’m 65 and 5’7. The first month I dropped about 7 lbs of water/inflamation. The next 5 months, I lost zero pounds but most of my health issues improved dramatically or went away completely (depression/anxiety, joint pain, swelling in low back/spine, gum issues, horrible hip pain, allergy symptoms, gastric reflux, GI issues: bouts of constipation/ diarrhea, vomiting, and more). I didn’t change anything because I knew I was healing and felt awesome. I continued intuitive eating and, over the next 6 months, lost 40 pounds. At the three year mark, I’m 133lbs, the same weight I was in my very early 30’s, before I started gaining the weight and inflammatory problems started. I’m amazed by what I see in the mirror and how I feel. My CAC score is 2.38 and, so far, all of my cardiac testing is clean. My LDL is, of course, elevated at 238 and I don’t care. The rest of my bloodwork is excellent. I just recently had this work up done as a follow up as I had heart/ lung issues after getting Covid in March of 2020. The changes in the CT scans of my heart and lungs from 2 years ago are remarkable. My healing/results are remarkable, something my cardiologist says he’s never seen before. He keeps asking me things like, “you don’t eat beans or rice?”, LOL. 🎉
Sounds like simple patience…letting your body do what it was miraculously made to do by the creator. Keeping it simple.😁👍🏽❤️🙏🏽

My doctor knows I am Carnivore7 yrs. He asks me crazy questions like that too. Like you eat sweet potatoes? Hahaha
I never can do protein amount say 130 gms at 5’7” can’t get it in too full.
I'm a 62 yo woman, lost 100 lbs over the past 27 months as an intuitive ketovore. I don't weigh, measure, or count anything besides grams of total carbs. Even the weight loss number is an educated guess. This simple approach has worked magically for me, but I can certainly see where more numbers-oriented persons would benefit from closer monitoring and feedback. There's more than one way to go about the proper human diet, we each have to figure it out for ourselves. Thank you Kelly for all your wonderful guidance :D
I'm 73, carnivore 651 days, shed over 100 lbs, never count macros, weigh occasionally for the thrill if it and feel like I'm in my 30's again! All that tracking is rage provoking because it harkens back to when I counted calories and carbs and obsessed over it to NO permanent avail. Too stressful and I got that out of my life. If you need to count food metrics to be happy, then do it. This is YOUR journey. ❤❤
You give me hope. I am 62 years old and need to lose 100 pounds...I am determined. So inspiring
@@maryd4239 Best of luck to you, everything just keeps getting easier and better on a proper human diet :D
Did you have to watch your fat intake or were you able to eat butter?
@@thedebrat3 No, I don't watch my fat intake or eat butter by itself. I do use butter generously and cook meat in either butter, tallow or bacon grease, especially if it's a leaner cut of meat. Hope this helps :D
Lost 45 lbs early carnivore haven’t budged on the scale in 4 months ,,, don’t seem to have a shut off for my appetite …. I know I eat to much meat but I am happy I’m not cheating . ….
I lost 35 in a couple of months and I’m stalled for a week. The only reason I mention it is that I weigh in morning/ bedtime and had been on a steady daily loss most days for months.
It's taken me 12 months keto / 12 months full carnivore to lose 70 lbs. There were many of those months with little to no weight loss, but i kept it up on carnivore. It would drive me crazy to weigh myself every day. I still have 30 lbs to lose, but i just don't worry about it. I weigh myself about once a month. If i lost weight, great. If I didn't, oh well. At least I know I'm eating healthy. ❤
That was almost exactly what happened to me. I don't know if this will help you, but it broke the stall for me. I upped the fat to 80%. I did that without too much thinking by doing this: I made a meatloaf with 3 # of 80/20, seasoning, 2 eggs and 3 cups of Walmart PorQ Italian seasoned panko. I counted the total calories of the ingredients, as well as fat and protein. Then sliced, weighed and packaged for 2 meals a day. I shaped and baked on a cookie sheet and poured all the fat into a jar to keep. For me, it worked out to 2 meals a day with 2 slices and 1 T. of melted fat drizzled over each slice. (Found out 1 T. of the beef fat and 1T. butter worked best. (Loosey Goosey with 2 T. rendered fat) It was a really good meat loaf! No thinking about what to cook for 2 to 4 days and very satisfying. I lost 5 #'s in a week after a 4 month stall. Best of luck. p.s. I also sometimes substituted homemade mayo for the fat portion. I liked that on cold meatloaf sometimes. :)
I dropped 35 lbs quickly, then stalled for months.
I broke the stall by removing all dairy and pork rinds. No cheese, no snacking. Dropped another 14 lbs in 2 weeks.
Broke another stall by cycling through OMAD for a week or so (not sustainable for me) then TMAD for a couple weeks.
Biggest thing was being honest with myself about how much I was eating, and what I was eating.
@@karela33can you share your recipe for the mayo? Thanks!
My journey has been long, curcuitous and complex. I've had insulin resistance since I was a child. Dr. Atkins 1999 book "the New Diet Revolution" saved me from disaster over 20 years ago. I managed my condition with low carb, keto and intermittent fasting for over two decades with varying degrees of success/failure. About 11 months ago I started carnivore. I've lost over 20 pounds and am within a few pounds of ideal body weight for a 52 year old male. I have never consistently counted macros but I lean towards 60 percent fat and eat approximately 2000 calories a day. Best thing that's ever happened to me. And it was none other than Kelly Hogans interview with Dr. Berry that got me started!
I also found Atkins over 20 years ago. Stumbled on his book in the library. Your story sounds a lot like my own. Low carb, keto, carnivore etc etc. Lose and gain for many years but carnivore has finally got me in the downward trend again.
@_tripsa That's awesome! Good luck on all your health goals!
I've lost 110 pounds in 13 months being an intuitive carnivore. The longest "plateau" I ever had was 2 weeks. I've never tracked anything.
Just starting. But tracking is not for me. So to hear there are successful min trackers out there is encouraging! And coming from another Kennedy, too!😊
Can you share a day of eating?
Kudos to you
Some of us don’t lose effortlessly
@YeshuaKingMessiah oh, it hasn't been effortlessly. I'm 60 years old. I had to work at it! I've been on keto/carnivore off and on since 2012. It also took finally getting my mind right.
Please share what and how much you eat
30 pounds eating pretty intuitively over 5 months. Stalled for a couple months. Now I’m tracking and the sardines and the scale is starting to budge, down another 10. Woot woot.
I’ve always wanted to be intuitive with my eating. I’m 67 and have been a yoyo dieter since 2nd grade when I realized I was fat. 🤷♀️. I went on carnivore August 12, 2023 to lose for my granddaughter’s wedding. I had counted calories from Jan 1 2023 and had ridden my bike with my sister 1000 miles walked over 100 miles. I lost 7 lbs. One day while riding my sister told me about you. I went home that day and watched your Ken Berry interview. I started carnivore the next day. I had lost 13 on carnivore by the wedding (Oct 21). Fit into my dress and felt amazing!!! I have since lost 10 more (naturally) now down 30. The first 20 were my normal low. I never expected to lose 10 more. From August 12 to Dec 31 of 2023 I did not eat any carbs. No cheese, cream, even stopped my coffee. I started my coffee back jan 1 - love it black. I don’t count anything - will now very occasionally have a few blueberries, strawberries, maybe cup of watermelon. But total of maybe 7 times total. I don’t count anything. I eat more than my husband. I was always a snacker but no more. I absolutely LOVE the intuitive eating. I feel totally food free. My weight never changes over 2-3 lbs throughout the week. Would change 6-7 before. I NEVER feel bloated. My mind always played tricks on me. When I felt fat I felt defeated and wanted to eat. No more. I just eat when I’m hungry. I don’t want dementia. So I do use a keto mojo to ensure I’m in the GKI index a few days a week. I do the sardine fast often and i often do OMAD during the week while I work. Just don’t need food. Love my new food freedom life. Thank you for what you do. Love the Saturday short clips.
This is beautiful! I'm thrilled for you!! ❤️. -Kelly
Thanks, Kelly …I continue to eat my 2 meals per day. Trying to maintain my weight loss goal. Going to walk on treadmill & work dumbbells. The heat is unbearable outside. Praying for our Nation & it’s good people! You’re the best ! I enjoy your commentary! Long live carnivores! 🥩👏🏻 Cheers & Smiles! 🥳
As an abstainer / volume eater, I gained weight with intuitive eating... Kelly, your TDEE was so helpful❣
Where can I find her TDEE calculator?
Is it only for paying members on her website?
I would like to know as well
I never get tired of seeing your before and after photos!! So inspirational!
Ive lost 27 kgs or 59.5 doing intuitive eating in not quite awhile year. I feel so much better these days. Nothing beats the mental health benefits of carnivore. The happiness and contentment is the best thing. I was miserable before carnivore.
Literally, this subject was the cry of my heart yesterday and I woke up this morning thinking about it… first thing I saw this morning was a notification for your video! Thank you, Kelly!
I get excited when I see Kelly put out a video as well!!
Me too! So grateful
I don't even care much about the subject of the video, it's my lifestyle already. Just came to hear mama Kelly's lovely accent saying truths.
Kelly I've learned so much watching you for this past year!! Thank you for all you do for the Carnivore community!!
I just watched your "Carnivore News" video. I laughed a lot and it felt so good 😂 it's been a serious journey since September 2023. It was nice to put some humor towards it! Thanks so much. Please keep making more videos 🙏
Tracking, I'll tell you the issue with tracking is two fold.
#1 burnout from years and years and years of Weight Watchers or any nutritionist visits.
#2 it makes you hyper vigilant thinking about food all day, always on your mind.
I just want to not have to be that onsessed with it all.
Also, I desperately do NOT want to lose my hair yet again! I have fine thin hair and I am vain. And now old, I don't want it to take 3 years for my hair to come back in!!! You know damn well there will be hair loss.
Im now in month 9 of carnivore, mostly BBBE.
Dentist last week: gum disease gone, no cavities or additional work needed....thats unheard-of.
Opticians last month: eyesight not regressed for the first time in 20 years or so!
For a woman 'of a certain age' feeling content, mood very stable, no food cravings, brain and mental capacity on fire!
Not lost a single lb, but due to past restrictive diet i know my metabolism is screwed....so sticking with it.
I had a complete Hysterectomy at age 29 because the doctors in my area are idiots. If I had only just eaten meat and fat, I wouldn't have gone to the doctors. I wouldn't have needed to. 3 years ago I went to an endocrinologist because I was aging rapidly in every way. He put me on Biest (estrogens), testosterone and progesterone. I also take Levothyoxine. I didn't have weight problems because eating was painful for my gut, so I didn't eat a lot. Once I started taking these hormones I gained 20 lbs in less than a month and I felt miserable. I was bloated all the time. I got on carnivore, and the bloating was still there. I couldn't get rid of the bloating no matter how little I ate or what I ate. I finally lowered my Biest on my own and my bloating and weight began to drop off. So excess estrogen makes it very difficult to lose weight. I hate having to be on HRT's as doctors can never get the dosage right and it causes major health issues if it's too much. I have learned from experience, that butter, and dairy raise my estrogen levels. So if you have fat on your body that just won't budge, avoid butter and dairy and see if that helps you get that weight loss going. I love butter, so I have lowered my Biest low enough to compensate for what butter is going to do to my levels when I eat it, and I wait four hours after taking my Levothyroxine before I eat any kind of dairy. Before I do my 30 minute fast walk in the morning, I wait 30 minutes after taking my Levo, then eat a tablespoon, of grass fed beef tallow, or two, then I walk. If I am fatigued, my heart rate is really low (in the 50's), if I feel cold and have brain fog, I take a drop of iodine. It helps a lot with sluggishness and gets me moving. TY Kelly, great information!
Me too! I was older 39 but feel it hurt my body with hormones.
I discovered the same thing about butter. I just want to maintain my weight, but butter seemed to make a few pounds creep back on. Now I only use tallow and I've lost those few pounds.
I started Carb Manager with Kelly's previous video and I found it so easy, I kept going. I can't believe how important it is to know. I found out that my fat macro was too low.
Kelly, I really appreciate you! I’ve been intuitive Carnivore since 27FEB24. At 68 years of age, I had well over 100#’s to loose. I’m down 43#’s, the first 20, came off very quickly and I continue to loose in fits and spurts. I now have less than 100#’s to loose😊. I’m so HAPPY! I’m calm, centered and currently am in a loss mode. My activity has improved greatly, though I’m still not consistent with daily movement. My mind is so much clearer, I loose my words MUCH less. My sleep is BETTER, though still needs improvement. I’m weaning off of my blood pressure medication. My lab work is now ‘Normal’. My body fat composition has gone from 49% to 34.5%, so I think that means I’m not losing muscle. I still don’t really track, though I love that you’ve taught us how easily it can be done. I have added Allulose & heavy cream to my coffee, after my first meal of the day. That’s a lovely treat for me, that doesn’t make me want to carnivore binge.
I WAS a grazer, eating all day long. Binge eater, carboholic. NOT an abstained. Eating a lot of vegetarian foods, though not vegetarian. Mostly Pescatarian. Just NOT a meat fan. Thankfully, I learned I could subsist on mostly ground beef and lamb from you. Twice a week, my ground beef includes liver in the blend. A steak every now and then, is a nice change. I NOW naturally eat twice a day, about 6 hours apart. I do try not to eat sooner than 4 hours before bedtime, I sleep MUCH better then. I cannot eat any seasoning other than Grey Celtic Sea Salt, which I also put a teaspoon in every 40oz container of RO water that I drink. I’ve done one 72 hour sardine fast, and plan another in August. I just did my first 24 hour water fast, it came about naturally, not planned. I had an amazing mental health cleanse that came through it, that manifested in a great cry. July is usually a very difficult month for me, as I’ve had three great losses in my life in this month, son-42, mother-10 and husband-4 years ago.
I do use cheese as a condiment a couple of days a week. Cream Cheese is my friend. I also add brown mustard to things from time to time. I learned early on, that full-fat, plain Greek yogurt makes me want to binge. I have cut out all supplements besides Pure brand, Magnesium Glycinate, I find I need less than when I first started this Carnivore journey. I do get a massage once a month, and float in a float tank of high magnesium salts monthly, also. This is pain management for me for my lower back and neck, from old injuries. I no longer take anti-inflammatory medications. I also have a far-infrared pad, that I use on those two areas less and less. Learning to sleep w/out anti-inflammatories, for pain, was difficult for me, but now have overcome that.
I hope this helps someone. I’d like to become a coach, though I have no idea how that works. I do now have three people in my life, that are eating this way. I began the journey alone, so I joined Kelly’s group in March & April. She’s truly a wonderful teacher. I learned a lot from her. I continue watching CZcams’er videos a lot. I’ve read great books by Dr. Ovadia, Dr. Boz, Dr. Bikman, Dr. Wm Davis, Dr. Berry, Dr. Baker & Judy Cho. I get them on Audible also, and listen whenever I’m not able to read. Like when I’m cleaning, walking, sometimes working, as my job is physical, and often allows me to do that.
Whether, you’re in this journey, or about to begin, there’s such great info out there. Enjoy your journey.
thank you for sharing. you helped me! i'm 65 and 100 pounds plus overweight most of my life. i still eat some veg like cabbage and canned green beans cuz my budget is tight and i am mostly a ground beef, ground turkey meat based eater. i'm in the phase where i'm getting a lot of inflammation from my autoimmune disease hashimotos. maybe it's time to get to full carnivore. that's my goal!
@@catea2551, I’m so glad I helped! I didn’t say I also add fermented veggies from time to time. Mostly cabbage. I think the key is fermented. Saurkraut that is fermented, is wonderful! If you have, or have a friend who has, a Sam’s Club, or Costco membership, you can buy meat for much less expensive/pound. 80/20 ground beef is great. I also eat all of the fat that comes off of my hamburgers/lamb burgers. You want your Turkey to have dark meat, white meat is too lean.
What were your favorite books of those options you mentioned
@@Julia29853 Thanks for asking! I am medical, by training. These are my most, lent out books: Stay Off My Operating Table, Philip Ovadia, MD, Any Way You Can, Annette Bosworth, MD & Why We Get Sick, Benjamin Bikman, PhD (he also has a new one, How Not To Get Sick, which I’m diving into now.
@@catea2551, you can heal on carnivore. I shop Costco for my frozen grass fed hamburger patties. That’s mostly what I eat. I’ve found Aldi to be a great affordable option for other cuts of meat.
If I do eat any veggies, I ferment them, before I eat them. Cabbage is a great choice for that. Find JOY in your journey!
I put my plate on a flat kitchen scales and everything is weighed before I eat it, I do this and use a macro app. I'm having great success and feel totally in control and the biggest change for me is that I reversed my type 2 diabetes
I've just never really been successful at tracking, though I did make a brief attempt at your online tracker, but had a hard time, may try again after watching this video. I've always done better if I don't think about food all the time, stay busy, and not being hungry is so helpful. I know that I don't eat nearly as much as some folks and some days, I guess I don't eat enough. I get full very quickly. I am definitely an intuitive carnivore, or really, sometimes ketovore, mostly carnivore. I lost weight before carnivore with great difficulty, but it never stuck. After I really got down to business with eating the way I do now about 5 years ago, I began losing fairly effortlessly, a chunk at a time, but I stalled twice, once for a year, once for two years. I just kept going, knowing this works better than any other diet I tried in my almost 68 years. I have been hypothyroid for 25 years. My BMI is 23 now, though it used to be 33 for years. Ketovore/Carnivore just the way I live now. My diet is almost exclusively grass fed beef (local farm) and free range eggs from my own chickens, butter/beef tallow, tuna occasionally, some bacon. I do consume heavy cream and stevia in my coffee, but only one tablespoon/3 teaspoons of cream-I measure it every time. Kelly or anyone else who wants to answer, after you lost a lot of weight, were you shocked to find out that you were really a smaller-framed person than you ever realized? That's not me because I have broad shoulders, but I did find that I am not a naturally large person, not "big-boned". It was enlightening! Blessings, Cynthia
I woke up at 1:00 pm and I couldn't sleep. I remembered I had under 1000 cal yesterday. Will that wake me up at night? I was at my goal weight at 140 when I was tracking 1200 cal then I added 300 cal and ended up gaining 5 lbs. I'm 67 and was walking 45 min a day until the heat started. Thank you Kelly for another great video!
You'll probably be really hungry eating that low. If you keep eating like that I could put money on you stalling. Dr Anthony Chaffee talks so much about how you can't lose weight on carnivore starving yourself/restriction. You need way more calories for your bodily functions. Too low intake will affect your metabolism, your mood, and even your sleep.
@@AnnabellaRedwood did you not read - she added 300 calories and gained weight. Has probably lost muscle and has slowed the metabolism down.
Intuitive worked first three years but gained my weight back the next four years of carnivore.
I found I had to track my glucose, ketones, and weight. I measure my food food and record on Cronometer. I learned by tracking that have to keep my protein at 60-65 grams a day or else my glucose is too high. So I eat a lot of fat- 130-140 grams. I take enzymes, a probiotic for constipation, and enteric bile salts. (No gallbladder). In six months of doing this I lost the 25 lbs I had gained the past four years.
What do you eat to fulfill your fat requirement?
Hi there, I see you eat 60-65 grams of protein a day. I would love you to tell me what that actually looks like because I buy a 227g steak and eat the whole thing in one meal, including all the fat on it, but have no idea how much protein that is. Thanks
I was strict carnivore for 2 years, lost no weight and my psoriasis got worse. Having to track everything like that isn't really the "food freedom" they tell you it's going to be.
@@annettestephens5337it depends on what cut you are eating. Ribeye would be about 40 and tenderloin about 70 and other cuts are in between.
I've been eating intuitively for 15 months. Down 65lbs,, I have plateaued/maintained for 6 months. I know I haven't been eating clean enough. I've just started to clean up my carnivore way of eating and the scale is starting to move again in the right direction. Thanks for your videos Kelly!
Can you tell me what you mean by clean carnivore. What were you eating before you plateand how does that differ from what you are eating now as a clean carnivore
@@overcomer4226 I mostly eat and do well eating BBB&E, Beef, bacon, butter and eggs with a little cheese for the first nine months . With a few treat days. That's what I'm returning to now.
The last six months I've gone off carnivore(treat days) more than before and had to much cheese. Cheese holds up my weight loss. I still feel really good the last six months but not great like the first nine. I'm now starting to feel great again. I hope this helps. All the best!
I have lost 28 lbs in the last 80 days being an intuitive carnivore! I have had a few hiccups but plan on getting better as I progress.
I am 370 days intuitive Carnivore. I eat when I'm hungry, and don't when I'm not. I have been very strict all this time. I have only lost 8 lbs in a year. No weight loss in the last 6 months. Truth be told, I am almost to my goal weight but still 10 lbs off. I was not one of the lucky ones where the weight just fell off. It's definitely a struggle. That could be due to my age. Im 70 years old, still Im very set on this way of eating.
Keeping diet simple makes eating simple. You would think you would get bored but no. Never tired of eggs, bacon, steak and butter! 💜
For all the people commenting on how you just intuitively eat and lose weight, that was NOT what Kelly Hogan asked you to comment about, she asked if there was any other way besides intuitive, fat as a lever or tracking that helped you lose weight. So I will put in that I could only gain weight until I got hormones to sleep more a few hours a night, once I slept, I have lost down to my original weight, but not more, even with 50 now to lose. I have struggled to eat...so I appreciate the people who mentioned anything besides intuitive...because I would just live off a stick of butter and coffee, if I ate intuitively.
No. She's asked it intuitive worked fornpeople.and how much did you lose? And trl us if you switched to another type of system, alao.
She specifically said if you lost weight through intuitive eating comment below so you are wrong. She did ask for it.
Anne, perhaps you have some psychological issues you need to work through to lose weight. Maybe you’re holding onto something you need to let go of.
Totally intuitive carnivore. It's been about a year now, approximately 50 pounds. Two sizes, so far.
I lost 50 the first 6 months and have been stalled for a year and six months. I still feel great but still have weight to lose. Will try some of these methods!
Down over 50lb in about 5 months, carnivore in a calorie deficit and added in 8-10k steps a day. On occasion, i have business lunches where I go ahead and enjoy what ever type of meal is available. All around healthier in every metric.
What an excellent how-to for tracking including why tracking can be beneficial! Love this video Kelly! I’m so happy to be part of your groups!
One of my top favorites is Kerry and Jen Mann of HomesteadHOW. Also, Dr Lisa Wiedeman (“The Carnivore Doctor”), Dr Anthony Chaffee, Dr Rob Cywes (“The Carb Addiction Doc”), Dave Mac
I was one of those that didn’t think I needed to track my food. I thought I had a pretty good grasp of what I was putting in my mouth. Clearly the scales and my clothes disagreed. I do track in my budget, which has been very helpful and enlightening, so I did take your advice Kelly and started tracking and quickly realized that I was drinking my calories. 1/2&1/2 in my coffee, which I was happily drinking 5-6 times a day. As you can imagine I was nowhere near two tablespoons of 1/2&1/2 per cup… so Thank You for the encouragement and information.
I have lost 18 lbs in 30 days. I went cold turkey from sugar and carbs. I had to. I feel great. I am an intuitive carnivore.
I lost 70 pounds via intuition but have been on a plateau for almost a year. Changing up movement first (adding walking after meals) and see where that takes me! =)
You are so sweet and fun to listen to!
I have lost the weight I wanted to lose as an intuitive carnivore and I find if I continue this way I maintain with no problems.
I’m just starting out on this carnivore diet. About 6 weeks in. I’m just eating until I’m full right now. I’ve looked into this carb manager and it’s all so confusing and overwhelming to me. I haven’t lost one pound really. I go one pound up and one pound down, basically maintaining. I currently weigh 144 but want to get to 130 ideally. I’m also 71 years old and I’m 5’2”. I know it’s important to track and figure out the macros. I’m finding carb manager very difficult to understand. It’s definitely a learning curve as you said. I’ll keep trying.
Hi Kelly, Love your channel 🥰🙌 I started 4/8/24. I stuffed myself the first few weeks or more. I tracked my macros as well, just to see where i was. I was aprox 70/30, on point I was amazed to see how many calories I ate over 3000 😂 I lost my weight prior to Carnivore(80#s), but I yo-yo every year and creep back up 15#s or so, usually in the winter time. I mostly wanted to heal my body . I'm 63yo, 5'4 138#. My body comp is changing, and I'm down 8# since starting this WOE. This last month, I have been intuitively eating. I lift weights and stay active. Some days, I eat more protein, other days more fat. I used to think about food all the time, I'm no longer obsessed with that . I eat 2 meals a day, and I no longer track my macros, and I'm enjoying my journey.
34 lbs down, and still going. Totally intuitive ❤
What another lovely video. Im loving your classes every week. Im consistently losing and my sleep has improved. Always learn something new xxx
On day 27 carnivore (newbie here) and so far I have lost 27lbs. I use the carb manager app to keep track of my weight mostly. Sometimes, I input the foods. I have lost a total of 13 inches from head to toe. I feel so much better! ❤
Hi Angie and congratulations on the impressive weight loss,so far!.. Would you mind sharing with me what you eat on a typical day?.. I'd be very grateful :o) ...I have 100lbs to lose and have lost 12lbs in 5 weeks :o)
I lost 90 lbs doing intuitive carnivore for over a year. I feel amazing.
Intuitive got the first 40 pounds gone, but I’ve been stuck for over a year now. Now I’m implementing Kelly’s TDEE as well as moving more. I anticipate the next 40 to start going away now!
I cannot thank you enough for this. I will do these and break this long stall.
I lost 27 pounds as an intuitive Carnivore. I started to track my macros recently because I was on a weight stall for about six months. Tracking my macros actually did help get out of the weight stall.
Day 6 intuitively eating and I lost 5 kg,been following you for quite some time now Kelly and I'm so happy I did.was on the brink of giving up today because I couldn't withstand the cravings but after a friend suggested I weigh myself to see if I made progress in those 5 days ,lo and behold I'm 5kg down.that motivated me to persevere
Remember to take measurements of your body using a tailors measuring tape.
As your body changes, your overall body composition will change, so although you may not experience weight loss on the scale, you should see yourself LOSING INCHES…
This will also motivate you as well.
I’m 526 days into carnivore and have lost 97 lbs (and have reversed/cured T2 diabetes, high blood pressure, IBS, migraines, acid reflux, brain fog, fatigue, arthritis, depression, and Jett and a lot more) and I feel and weigh the same as when I was 20… and I’m 62!!😊😊
Intuitive is great for me, but I need to note that I do not have a large appetite. My issue was sugar addiction, not over eating food in general
This was great, thank you. I have just started this week with carnivore and trying to figure how much to eat. The app sounds like what I need, and I saved this to try and get everything you said. Have a great day.
I started carnivore (to be accurate, totally keto and 97% carnivore) about 14 days ago, eating intuitively, and lost 6 pounds in that 14 days so far, effortlessly and never being hungry.
You have no idea how much this video answered so many of my questions. Thank you so much!! I switched to carb manager this morning. Instead of beef patties, I live on dehydrated meat. I use the meat as bread. I love egg sandwiches. I am stalled right now, but have not tracked in a very long time. I will track for a couple of weeks to see where I am at. I was doing great until I got two wasp stings and a tick bite in one day. Instantly gained 3 pounds. I still have them a week and a half later. I am still down 61 pounds with the gain. I am ok with that, but I never trust a weight gain to not get out of control. I am not a moderator.
I can eat intuitively easily. The same for tracking. I do eat almost the same thing every day 🤣 Gaining a little muscle because of the workouts I do. Lots of energy and mostly my sleep is good.
Thank you Kelly for all of the informational videos you put out. I've been following you for awhile.
I'm new friends with Emily Penton ❤ . I'm ready to change my life. I just turned 60 on the 25th. Moving forward. 😊
Thank you for taking the time to make and share this video!!!!
I've been intuitive carnivore for 6+months and lost 41#. I occasionally have to track my macros in MyFitnessPal to make sure I'm keeping honest and sometimes reel in my cheese to keep the down progress.
Honesty fixes a lot of stuff in life!
Nothing messes things up like fooling ourselves.
I’m doing it for RA. Day 4 thanks
I appreciate your thorough explanations, @Kelly Hogan!🎉
Thank you Kelly. I have never tracked calories, protein, fats intake or any of this. I think it is time to do this. I lost over 180 lbs in one year and I am now gaining a muscle and stalled at around 190 - 205 lbs. My goal weight is 170 - 175 lbs. This seems like the logical next step. This will teach me exactly what I need to know about my diet and then once I learn it I will always know exactly what is going on as far as my nutrition.
I started out eating too much meat. The one gram per pound is too much for me. I was gaining two pounds per month. I think protein really boosts my insulin. I probably came from people who regularly faced famine. I an build fat and muscle on not much protein. At one time I was an ovo/ lackto vegetarian, and was a triathlete. So I have cut back my protein to 0.6 grams per pound of ideal body weivht. My weight has stabalized. Now to lose I will be cutting dairy down, cream and butter. I love that butter 😢😢
I have been mostly intuitive carnivore for more than a year. I needed to gain a little weight, I had been dieting and underweight for some time before I began carnivore. I do track sometimes, but I do not adhere rigidly to what the tracker advises. If I am hungry, I eat meat. I am careful with extra fat, since it has a tendency to "go right through" if I have too much......! BUT IBS is history, depression and anxiety are gone - Thankful!
If you want to gain weight
1.5grams of meat × the weight you want to aim for. Then when you hit your goal then stop the 1.5 and then just eat 1 gram × your current body weight.
@myzerocarblife I've broken my stall doing a sardine fast (canned bone-in sardines and occasional mustard) and still with 2 creamy collagen coffees per day. 😄 Intuitive eating all the meats and butter kept me stuck. So easy to overeat. I don't know how to go back. "Am I sardine hungry?" has been huge. Maybe I just need to eat the worst meat ever to keep hunger cues in check. 🤣
Just ordered my new Tie Dyed shirt (the same one you’re wearing in this video) and I can’t wait to get it!!! It was out of stock before..😊
I have always tracked my calories and weighed my food. and for me it so beneficial any way for me to do it and you TDEE work for me i am eating much more and loving and losing !!
I have been mostly intuitive carnivore for two years, plus or minus a couple of months I am also mainly OMAD, but not as strictly. My carnivore is mostly lion style. I have lost 100 pounds doing this. My exercise is riding a recumbent trike a couple of times a week. I also drink coffee and that is about all. I never count calories. protein, or fat. Male, 62 years old.
I have been intuitive carnivore since September 2023. I haven't had the easiest time losing weight like many others. I do not want to have to track macros etc. Honestly, I don't have the patience or the time. i just try different things when months go by with no success. I know I have been healing in many ways. If anything, I am under-eating. I am not hungry (which is wild as I was a sugar addict, emotional eater). Now I eat once, maybe twice a day, but mostly once. I added allulose a month or so ago because Dr. Ben Bikman mentioned allulose was the only 'healthy' sugar as it helps if you are insulin resistant. So I added that each morning. I've lost 8 lbs in the last two weeks, which is good for me since I only lost 12 lbs the first two weeks after starting carnivore, then nothing until recently. (I do not know if I'm insulin resistant, I'm just guessing. I do have a endocrinologist appointment in August).
You have to ask for the correct bloodwork, how much insulin in your system, not just glucose blood tests.
Been yo-yo carnivore for quite a while. Lost 34 lbs. But backslid too many times. I'm up 8lbs from my lowest. It just won't budge. Thanks for this awesome video. I have been using CM but these tips will help me so much more.
I’m willing to keep experimenting! Over 450 days Carnivore with no weight loss and actually have added 2 inches.
I just haven’t figured out the way that helps me yet.
Grams, percentages and calories. I’ll keep on trying to figure out my body. After 70 years, I’ve been so hard on my body. So it might take much longer to lose the extra 30 lbs I carry.
I hear you - I'm 76 and have been dieting and struggling most of that time. But we're still here! I think this time we have found the correct, healthy approach. Cheers for us!
Have you tried protein pacing? Kelly has one or two videos about this. I believe one of them was with Amber O.'hern. They talk about having 25 to 30 thirty grams of protein 3 or 4 times a day.
I highly suggest your join a carnivore support group. Kelly has one of the best ones, Bella (“Steak and Butter Gal”) has a great one, and Dr Lisa Wiedeman (“The Carnivore Doctor”) also.
Af you’re not losing weight after a year of carnivore (you’re 450 days)… you might also want to get a full round of bloodwork to include a full thyroid and sex hormone panels bc my guess is that your hormones and/or thyroid is way out of whack.
You could be hypothyroid which would prevent or stall weight loss, your progesterone, testosterone, etc could be low or high, etc…
Good luck!!😊
As of 4/17/24 My TSH is in the normal range.
All hormones are also in normal range.
My lipid profile looks like the carnivore typical. HDL 70 LDL 176 trig 93
I’ve done Keto Maria tribe
But all the recipes and sweeteners wasn’t my nitch altho she is incredibly awesome and steak and butter gang. After a month of priming I was discouraged. I am with Kelly now. My only hope is to be that happy little scientist to figure this out. I chart everything I do & eat. I have too many NSV to ever quit. Thank you for your help tho.
@@overcomer4226I’ll check it out ! Thank you!
Been an intuitive carnivore a couple years . Still going down 10 pounds from being underweight but now everything slow. Not worried. Feeling good. I noticed when I exercise, my weight goes up a little.
I wasn’t sure exactly how to do carnivore so I started out as an intuitive carnivore and in 5 1/2 months I’m down 49 pounds!!!!
I have been intuitive carnivore for 5 months and have lost 50 pounds. Recently, weight loss has drastically slowed with on 2 pounds lost in last month.
288 to 206 in 6 months as an intuitive carnivore
I appreciate the honesty and truth. Too many carnivore coaches say the calories don't matter.Everything doesn't work for everyone😍🙏💪
When eating fat and protein it's very hard to get too many calories because you get full easily. Under-eating is probably more common than over-eating when following a proper human diet.
@@krirub8166 Unless you have lived with disordered eating for most of your life. Not everyone gets the signal to quit eating, especially if they are just starting their journey. Most people who are overweight, are overweight for a reason. Unhealthy eating, over eating etc. I could easily put away 3k calories when i first started. Especially if you are allowing dairy.
@@krirub8166100 percent not true!!
@@_tripsaexactly! When I ate intuitively on carnivore I could easily eat 3k-5k calories a day of pork belly, heavy cream, ribeyes, smoked cheeseburgers, bacon, eggs , brown butter bites etc. I was eating 200-300g of fat every day!

I’ve lost 46lbs and 41 inches since the end of Feb/first of March, I have about 13-18lbs to get to goal but I’m in no hurry. I go to Dr. at end of this month and I’m so excited to see what my numbers are. I’m diabetic, have osteoporosis, chronic back issues, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or should I say,”I had these issues, still dealing with back but hoping it will ease up. Thank you Kelly and Dr. Berry, you all are amazing!
Carnivore 4 months and intuitive. This appealed to me because I hate tracking my food. I have lost 20 pounds
Hey Kelly! I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your explanations of the app for Carb Mgr...when you started explaining it, I was like "yeah yeah I already know this" BUT I really learned a lot and I appreciate how patiently you explained how to copy the same meal to multiple days. I also thought it was quite genius (if not obvious to me), when you said "If you don't like tracking, eat the same foods regularly and tracking is easier". Thank you again for all your passion to support us carnivores who still struggle. Love ya ❤
Yes! I lost 23 pounds 25 inches as a intuitive Carnivore! I went full carnivore April 1 2024 so 104 days to date. July 13 2024! No tracking and
I love this as I train folks to be intuitive with their lifestyles!🙌🎉❤️👍 Thank you Kelly I love your channel!❤️
23 lbs and 25 inches 😮
So discouraged. 2+ months now. 2 meals a day or OMAD. Not eating too much. Clean carnivore: No vegetables except 1 avocado and 2 servings of mushrooms (social situations) in 8 frisking weeks! Last meal was 3 eggs fried in tallow, meal 18 hours before that was a 250g burger and some halloumi cheese which couldn't finish/gave away. Upped my fat to 80/20 (yuk) advice from Kelly and Dr Elizabeth Bright. One tsp heavy cream in coffee. Pluses: cravings have gone as though I never had them. Gone off alcohol (yay!). Clean teeth. Sebhorraic Dermatitis gone. Better sleep. Hot flushes (see alcohol) a thing of the past. Rosacea fading. So it IS working!, so grateful, I am continuing. Negative: no weight loss at all. No inches off apple waist. No comments from girlfriends (gf always notice!) 86 hours sardine diet 2 tins or 3 tins/day to get back into ketosis after a cheat social weekend: nothing. Nada. Zip. Clothes not getting looser, the tight waistbands that caused me to start still tight, what am I doing wrong?
Intermittent fasting will change this. Been there. 18 hours works best for me. No to OMAD. 18 hours will jump start your weight loss.
I am having challenges with weight loss after 10 months on carnivore, but I am happy with the health outcome. I am still tweaking my portions since I am not sure if I am under-eating or over-eating for my age and frame. I find that If I stop comparing myself with others, I do not get stressed! I measure myself with the size 4 pants. If I still fit in it, then I am happy with it. I should not obsess with the weighing scale, I get stressed . btw, i am 64 years old female, under 5 ft tall and I vary from 105 to 109 lbs. I want to be 100 lbs which is my ideal weight accdg to standards but I am happy right now. No arthritis, no migraines, no protruding belly, no back and knee pains, and my hair is growing again , blood sugar and blood pressure normal again. I am not very strict carnivore either and could not maintain ketosis but I stopped stressing over it. I eat 2MAD most days.
I think you should eat more. I could have misinterpreted your comment but I think you are undereating. I personally couldn't lose weight whenever I restricted to an extreme low calorie diet.
@@AnnabellaRedwood, I totally agree. Sounds like calorie restricting to me. But, I’m 5’9”, we don’t know how tall she is.
Carnivore doesn't work for everyone. I was strict carnivore for two years with no weight loss and very low energy. My psoriasis actually got worse too.
I have to say I just adore you! You are my idol! This was a FANTASTIC video with great information. I have been on/off carnivore for about a year and a half (I kept getting sick and find it hard to stay carnivore when I'm nauseous). Started again four weeks ago and committed to doing it this time. However I'm almost 60 and my body is messed up. Every time I go on, I lose a little and then stop (like 5 lbs). I've lost 6 pounds this month, but I'm beginning to see it stall again. I am totally going to take your advice and do these steps. Thank you thank you thank you! ♥
You are awesome I have been carnivore for 9 months following you and Dr Berry down 35 lbs off of 13 out of 14 meds fill much better skin is better I am 68 6 ft tall 180 lbs gold is 165 lbs I am medium frame. Keep up the good work I appreciate y’all be blessed in all you do. Also reversed type 2 diabetes A1 C down from 6.6 to 5.4 all blood work in good numbers again thank you.
Thank you, Kelly, for all your wisdom and knowledge! So valuable!! You have given me the tools to finally DO THIS! Now I feel like I can finally get a grip on this. It's like I had PART of the puzzle before, but now watching your video/videos, I feel like I have the whole story and can attempt this again with all this knowledge. THANK YOU!!❤😉
Thank so much for this tutorial Kelly! Just what I needed. I can't wait to meet you in September. I am all signed up!
Raising fat to lower cortisol and sleeping better has helped me. I'm a male 7 year lifter. 27 years old. And trying to to get down to 8% bf. I'm at 11%. I walked 20k steps everyday in June and lifted 5 days a week. I honestly assume I had my cals too low. So that said I'm upping fat to fix cortisol keeping protein at my ideal bodyweight. I eat 2lbs of ground beef everyday so it's been easy to adjust fat content.
Thank you for mentioning undereaters!
I'm a chronic undereater and have been for decades! I am also very overweight. When I switched to a very low carb keto I was able to up my calories a bit and I lost some weight. Then I stalled for months. Hopefully going carnivore will shake me up a bit and get me back on track!
I stalled for 8 months then i heard a statement for protein 1 gram of protein for every 1 (kilogram) of ideal body weight. 6ft tall male= 180 grams of protein down to 80-90 grams of protein
Now i am losing on the regular i have dropped 10 lbs in 5 weeks. So this is what i am doing
Still not hungry but way less frustration
You’re eating less protein now? And that’s working? Is that what you’re saying?
Yes I am
This is my favorite video of all the videos I’ve watched. Thank you for the different ways to start out. I don’t feel so stressed about not tracking at first. Have a great day Kelly!!)
In South Texas we lose power seems like everytime it rains . With the recent hurricane we might have limited power but no ac or refrigeration. Being carnivore I have eaten a ton of hamburger patties from in-n-out
Hi Kelly, I’m truly inspired by your journey. I’ve been doing versions of Atkins, Keto and now Carnivore for many years but keep reverting to old habits, always thinking the current diet will be “the one”.
I started Keto again in January 2024 losing almost 20 lbs until another life event threw me off track…saw a lot of videos on Carnivore and started around the middle of April, with current loss since January of 35 lbs.
I’d love to get the aids you mentioned in this video for your groups. I work best with following a written plan. What do I need to do to get access to them?
Thanks for being available for women like me who need their hands held a bit.
Thank you, Sharon
Excellent video! I downloaded the card manager app that was very overwhelmed with how to set it up. Thank you so much.
