However, Mohammad Nabi, sponsor, Afghan team's also he established three hospitals in Kabul under the name ADI, which means " mother." He is a living legend in Afghanistan

    Rivaldo's fake injury was against Turkiye in the 2002 world cup. Dude was fined heavily for playacting. But this was the first time I saw it in cricket. Naib was totally committed to the scene - it was hilarious watching him limp off.

    Fantastic and overdue flowers for Nabi and the Afghanistan team, coached by Trott (who doesn't get talked about much in the UK for his work thus ruling him out for the England coach job in the future I assume). Here, there are some quarters who say Afghanistan shouldn't play due to the Taliban etc etc but how can you not reward these passionate and brilliant players 👏🏽

Rohit, Virat and Boom take their responsibility to Indians very seriously and may keep playing till they win trophies.Jay Shah or BCCI or anyone else have no impact on the field. Huge difference between Pak and india is role of players, last generation - Tendulkar,Dravid,Laxman, Kumble,Ganguly have a legacy of contribution and current generation know they have to emulate their seniors

    Osman bhai, my two cents and no disrespect but if I were to play the devil's advocate, I see the hilarity in what Naib's done however it is a disgrace and should be called out the same. Romanticizing the whole sequence of events involving Trott and Naib is not really ideal especially when two reputable journalists do so. It was blatant cheating by the Afghan management and Naib and extremely disappointing to see it happen on the cricket field. Rizwan's antics regularly get put under scrutiny since his 50-50 comments around faking injury, and rightfully so - it's petty and fraudulent.

    • @BattaFast
      @BattaFast  Před 28 dny +2

      I understand your pov but for me this was gamesmanship rather than cheating. And tbh I am not very anti cheating also if done smartly. End of the day, this is just a game not life or death. And there are far bigger moral issues for me in the sport than this. But I also understand someone finding it abhorrent.

    • @aaraiz
      @aaraiz Před 28 dny +1

      @BattaFast , never saw it from a gamesmanship vs cheating viewpoint, certainly a different angle! My first reaction to these antics has always been unsavory, guess not going down that path of intense criticism within sport is exactly what makes you a great journalist. 🙏

      @@BattaFast , by the way, might as well cover this in your next podcast - what is the distinction between gamesmanship and cheating. @@viratyadav2213 you cant deny the BCCI's clout and that it does everything to garner any unfair advantage to amass trophies. Its our diabolical plan that we have had two WTC championship finals in the month of June in England each time and right after IPL. The Guyana semifinals has nothing to with the broadcasters dictating terms and its the BCCI that conjures these evil plans, and they were even sure that we would top the group defeating Aussies. They even fabricated an Afghanistan win against Australia. Yeah may as well give us the trophy and stop this pathetic charade ...
