Term limits for all elected state and federal offices, including judicial appointments, would be a good start.

I agree with you 100% on everything you said. We are past hope. It's sad.
I have been saying the exact same thing for a long time now that even if Trump wins, it’s just delaying the inevitable because like you said it’s too deep. I always tell people you can’t expect some political figure to come riding in on a white horse and saving everybody. I like to remind people that that’s not how our founding fathers did it. They didn’t sit around, hoping somebody would make it easy for them. I do think the temporary reprieve would be nice and possibly buy us a little more time to get more fully prepared.
If we don’t win 24, there will be no 28.
Four more years could be enough time for at least a few thousand more people to become self reliant though. That's the good news here well said Steve!

Re "The End of U.S.", back in 2007 I had a subscription to the WSJ, a requirement for my job, and came across an article written by Andrew Osborn (dtd 12/29/2008) wherein he wrote about a theory by a Russian Poli-Sci Prof named Igor Panarin.
Panarin asserted the US would break apart and become "Balkanized" into four or five regions made up of varying ideologies. IMHO, it's Panarin's theory that was the "seed" for the Kelly Turnbull series written by Kurt Schlicter.

I just finished The Reversion.
We do mostly live remarkable lives here.
The government is not here to save you, the government is interested in saving itself.
I am now retired, officially, but still adding what value that I can.
Your description of life in the 50's and 60's was dead-on for me. I'm not saying that the US is doomed, unless things do not simplify and change for the better.
Work on helping to make things better, every day.

As far as movies I don't watch them either. I find that most of them are stupid but occasionally, I will watch an Older movie like tombstone something of that nature. But yes, I agree with you. Most of the movies are stupid. I don't watch them.😊

I agree 100% that the US, as I've known it, is Gone and too far gone to bring back. I understand the desire of many who just want it to kick off right now, but I don't think they've really sat down with themselves truthfully to understand what really lies at the end of that road and in that process of looking, be completely honest with themselves. Do I love Trump, no, but he had good policies and got a lot done that I know improved our lives in a big way. The things he did accomplish were all done while his own party , many of them, worked against him and the Dems did not stop for even 1 day from trying to take him out of office and prevent him from getting anything done. I want and need more time to prepare as the more I learn and do the more I realize how much more I need to take care of. If you haven't taken stock fully of what is coming for all of us I highly urge you to do so and then take action to meet as many goals you now see need to be reached every single day.
It is a strange and sobering thought to know, that in order for the end to come, the end must come.

I hate to think of a DJT POTUS as only a pause, but I am afraid to admit, I am with you and agree that, unfortunately, that is what it will be.
We lost out Country in the 2020 Coup, then the 2022 mini-Coup where the People were only given a token majority in the House, and a tie in the Senate.
But again, agree our Country is real close to being 'the good old days'.
There needs to be a Reckoning, then a Restoration. Won’t be easy. We still have the founding documents. They point the way back to prosperity. But evil men will try to stop this. Rough times lie in our immediate future. God willing and the creeks don’t rise….

I hope that Trump wins but I know they will do everything to hold him back. It could buy us a little time to prepare more for the inevitable. I worry for our country. I still have hope that our good men and women will finally take a stand.
All we can do is pray. And hope that things will b okay. God, God bless us all. We are going to need his help. All I can do is prep as much as possible.

I’ve been hearing for a couple years now it would lead to a collapse of the US dollar.
Of course it’s gonna collapse on its own soon enough, but I have heard it would greatly speed up the process.

@@woodman1701 Those people are fear mongers. The world economy runs on commerce. There's no such thing as a Petro Pound, a Petro Franc, a Petro Euro, a Petro Yen or a Petro Ruble, yet those countries operate just fine in the world market. Be careful who you listen to.

You’re the first online person I’ve seen say it wouldn’t matter.
The thinking goes that 70 percent of the US dollars are overseas and being used to purchase all oil transactions. If that mandate is stopped then those dollars supposedly come back to the USA as worthless. We then experience hyper inflation. The dollar gets weaker.
I imagine some of those oil transactions will still continue to be in dollars afterwards.
That’s how I understand the process to be.
By the sounds of it the oil industry being paid in dollars dominates our economy.
But maybe that isn’t true.
I’ve wondered what you you just said myself at times. Mostly because many predictions turn out to be false in the end. After all the predictions do come from alarmist programs or companies selling precious metals.
I remember reading in a book about a world famous surfer named Miki Dora who surfed Malibu in the 50’s and 60’s.
It said in the book that Miki was heavy into precious metals and claimed the end of the US financial system was coming soon.
Turns out he was wrong.
My point being the same as what you just wrote. Be careful of who you listen to.
Many times I have to look at the world I see around me on the ground as to actually see what is actually happening, versus what I’m hearing on CZcams.
Yours is one of the few programs I still listen to as all the doom and gloomers turned out wrong.
You could be right about no effect from the end of oil pricing in dollars having no effect.
I wouldn’t be surprised actually.
