Left Eye was truly one of one! You can tell that she really cared about elevating and developing true artists. She taught them the be about the business and not the games and the social status!
BLAQUE has one of the BEST visual looks that any girl group has ever had. The 90s futuristic aesthetic that they had is still so influential to how people dress today!

Great piece. Makes me wonder if Blaque created “Leny” as an appreciation to Lenny Kravitz for letting them stay at his place during the recording sessions.

Blaque is still an amazing girl group I love their music and the combination of Rap RnB and Pop they definitely were the baby version of TLC they're success could have been even bigger and Natina will be forever missed
As someone from Atlanta, I'm familiar with Lawrenceville Hwy and while Lawrenceville Hwy is a very odd highway to be walking on, that part where she was hit, was even more odd to be walking on....very strange!
Left Eye knew exactly what she was doing. These girls should have preceded the barrage of K Pop girls we see today. They would have been exceptionally huge. Someone was hating baaad.
It's so obvious that kpop had an impact from American girl groups! Ever remember the outer space concept in kpop groups in like the early 2000s or 2010s? Blaque DEFFO is part of that inspo, no debating needed!
Farah Franklin would spend a few weekends as a member of Destiny's Child. Farah's gonna be that early 2000s girl who will forever be catching strays in other peoples YT biography videos.
Natinas death don't sit right with me. Who crosses a damn highway at that time of night on the phone? I feel she wasn't in her right mind. The fact that their deaths are similar, and they both have similarities is very interesting. Also the fact that she was against secular music and spoke on the demonic industry only to go back to it was weird.
This was a deep discovery and commentary. I had no idea of the greatness of Blaque's body of work. I am going to check it all out now. Thank you for this. The similarities of both Left Eye's and Natina;s death are eerie. Very interesting.
Damn Lefteye was in her bag!! I had no idea how innovative she was, I wish we'd been able to see all of her groups and projects flourish. Columbia is dumb for how they discarded that last album. They should have been able to continue to have creative control, they've already shown how good they were. The ball was dropped so many times😢
It just crushes my soul when ppl from the black music world passes away so young or so sudden. We've lost alot of dope artists throughout the years. Very nostalgic feeling ✨️
Omg Tren is a cutie pie 🥰 We never got any updates on him. Glad to see he’s following in his parents footsteps and I’ll have to check out his new film when it hits theaters.
Wow that question Natina Reed asked "RIsen" is so real, the demonic activity is heavy in all industries unfortunately, and its great that she was trying to make everyone see it at a time like that.
Lisa dying and getting dropped by Columbia/Sony just before then really stalled their careers. I also think sharing the same label as Destiny’s Child didn’t help them - DC was the dominant girl group of that era and Columbia wisely prioritized their push. They also didn’t really stand out - no one with Beyoncé’s star quality on their lineup, and they very much felt like a watered down version of TLC (not surprising given their connection to Lisa), but unlike TLC, they lacked a distinctive vocalist like T-Boz (though they were all talented singers and rapper in Natina’s case). They also didn’t have the high intense drama groups like TLC (Lisa burning down the house, bankruptcy, etc) or Destiny Child (lineup changes, the heavy Beyoncé push) to keep their name in the press and public eye. They kind of got lost in the shuffle with the multitude of pop/r&b artists out at that time.
