    I just bought a 07 ST today. It has the Delkelvic exhaust with no baffles. The on/off throttle sucks so bad I nearly dropped it during the test ride. This "booster plug" by your measure only partially addresses the issue.

      Hello again Josh and again thank you for all your comments. You bought one of the best sport touring motorcycles in the world. I left you some good information on your other questions. It's a good thing you did not drop your bike, it has happened to me also where when you barely crack over the throttle the motorcycle takes off. I did experience that being softened with the booster plug installation and there's less herky jerky.

    I installed The BOOSTERPLUG from Denmark in my 2019 Kawasaki Vulcan 650s after the first 3,000 miles, purchased new 6/1/19 and the two huge problems I wanted to solve, were solved!
    I can now drive it at 1/2 mph around a crowded parking lot without having to feather the clutch in and out of the friction zone. This was killing my hand. The bike would engine brake the The other problem solved was the excess engine braking whenever I’d let off the throttle. It was as though I’d hit the brakes BUT without the brake light going on. Dangerous when a car would be too close at following distance behind me. If I simply went to scratch my ear the engine brake would immediately slow the bike much too fast. Like a “Jake Brake” on a semi truck.
    I was happy before but now excited.
    I ordered it online from their website on a Monday morning and I received it Thursday by lunchtime. I live near Chicago

      Hello Greg,,, Thank you for watching. It's so exciting hear individual results from Motorbike owners from around the world. If the Booster Plug folks in Denmark are reading your note, I'm sure they feel the same about your positive results and thank you for your feedback. Hopefully you can squeeze in some more rides and Booster tests before it's gets way too cold. Have a wonderful weekend in Chicago. Warmest Regards. The idle is not affected by the booster plug. When the engine has no throttle input, like during idle or steady cruising, the ecu is in closed loop mode. At this point, the only input to the ecu is from the lamba (O2) sensor. Once the throttle is opened the bike goes into open loop mode. Then the systems that report to the ecu are able to make input. One of these sensors is the air temp sensor that the booster plug piggy backs into. At that point the booster plug can interupt and change the air temp to a lower temp, so the ecu richness the fuel mixture. But once the throttle is closed to idle, it has no affect.

      Hello Sprocket, great information, thank you for the excellent feedback, it all makes sense to me especially being in the automotive world for a long time. Understanding motorcycles have the O2 sensor, closed loop, on outside air temperature sensor,,, this all makes more sense. Thanks again for watching and have a wonderful week. ❤️🏍️

    Interesting, this is the first Booster Plug test that I would gauge as a moderate change to the standard bikes engine characteristics. I just fitted one to my V Strom 1000, which is very on / off and snatchy at slow speeds (expected in a large V Twin), I haven’t ridden my bike since fitting it earlier today so I’m hoping when I do it shows better results but suspect it won’t . Thanks for the vid / honesty 👍

      Thanks for watching Andrew, I've had it now for just over 2 years and for the money it's worth it, there's moderate to good improvements, end of the day it is certainly worth installing especially on bikes that have a sensitive on off, closed throttle open throttle, the most noticeable change for me it is on the racetrack. I do have more power from deceleration to acceleration for maybe the first two seconds, plus more top speed. Every bike has different characteristics and everyone will have different results, I'm happy I installed it, have a wonderful and safe weekend. 🤙🏍️

      @@joshmoore6165 , hello josh, thank you for all your comments. I'll try to address each one on each one of your posts. Improvements on the booster plug I don't think can go any further but after now 3 years of having it, my ST offers maybe two more horsepower, less herkey jerky when you first crack on open the throttle, but what I do like is the full throttle power that I get on the racetrack. Everyday driving is going to show casual improvement but most importantly for me is less herky jerky breaking off from full closed throttle to slightly cracked open throttle.

      I was pleasantly surprised with the improvements on my honda, and based on many CZcams reviews there is an improvement somewhere in some Fashion on the motorcycle, for me the most improvement is when I crack open the throttle,, and full throttle,, I have extra power and I pop a wheely sometimes and I don't want to, LOL,, thanks for watching my video have a wonderful week, be safe, ride safe.. 🤙🏍️❤️

      Hello Robert, thanks for watching. I totally agree with you. I would love to put it on a dyno and see the difference before and after on a graph. One of these days I hope the guys that I go on the track with will let me use the dino. I have a video with me on the track a few weeks ago and I can tell a big difference when cracking open the throttle from deceleration. It is quicker I just want to see the numbers myself. Take care,,, right safe 🏍️🤙🏍️🤙

      @MotoTouringWorldWide  Před 4 lety +1

      Hallo Mecky, Gruesse aus Seattle!! :>)... The most positive result for my Honda Pan European ST300 is the extra power. I noticed my motorbike wants to lift the front end more in 2nd gear now. It feels smoother between shifting gears and has just a little extra power when just opening the throttle while at cruising speeds. With my Delkevic exhaust, driving around town the exhaust is quieter and not making lean fuel mixture popping noises 100% of the time, now it's making popping noises about 50% of the time. With each motorcycle, owners will experience different results. I hope you have positive results too. Warmest Regards. unfortunately I do not have a face book, send you some photos of the pan via e-mail.
      The pan has mounted a nivomat shock absorber from wilbers, which adjusts automatically to the load condition.

      I am very satisfied with the automatic shock absorber.

      @MotoTouringWorldWide  Před 4 lety +2

      Hello, thank you for watching. I've been on 2 long rides since the installation. I still get 250 miles per tank. I do drive the bike harder and enjoy the little extra power from closed throttle to full throttle. When I do that, my fuel mileage drops quickly. However the last video I posted from Seattle to the Desert of Eastern Washington, it was pretty normal on fuel mileage which was 250 miles per fill up,,,, good enough for me. It's about 38 to 40 miles per gallon at 80mph. During normal cruising speeds the Booster Plug does nothing for power, The O2 sensor and ECM take over and adjust fuel mixture back to 'normal'.

      I tried a Booster plug on my Ducati before my ST130O.
      There is no substitute for a well tuned motorcycle regardless of tuner.
      I would also rate it a 3 I don’t think it’s a substitute worth doing. A little popping is no big deal.

    • @pedroc6823
      @pedroc6823 Před 2 lety

      Just an update, The pair valve mod and Booster plug combination got rid of my popping about 90%.
      I had my Delkavic Baffle on and off. When it does happen its barley audible.
      I tried the pair valve mod by completely blocking it, but it effected idle making it lower.
      So I found a reducer at a hardware store and just by placing it in the pair valve it reduced the air flow enough
      that both got back normal idle and kept the popping to next to nothing.
