Every creator that is successful is only successful because of all fans they brought in. Recognition for their work is how any creator, youtuber or otherwise, keeps the lights on and food on the table. They're not getting money as charity from Google. It's baffling how people don't understand it, he would be nowhere if we were not here. And we would be not here if his content wasn't good.

Nah mate can't fully agree with you there. Jimmy makes excellent content, and that is the reason so many people watch him and support him.

The thing I appreciate about Jimmy the most is how honest he is, about the emotional struggles he's gone through. It takes a lot of bravery to do that and it makes him feel very genuine.
And because he's genuine and kind, he brings the same out in (most of) his fans. It really is a positive cycle. And it's so good to see how much this channel has not only uplifted him, but gotten him started in what is basically a dream career.

The cool thing about this kind of video, it can give people ideas who want to be sim racers how to build their own DIY sim racing rig. You don't need to be rich to do so, just a basic wheel setup (even controller at start is good) and be creative on how you see yourself fitting in a rig. As far as its comfortable to you then its fine.

I have an old book rack that my dad made back when he was in grade school wood shop during the 1940s under my desk. It's difficult to describe, but it raises my pedals up to a modern seating position or just my feet while I'm working. He was a racing fan and he could never have imagined the games, much less the computers, we have access to and never that his school project would get by me every day.
I wedge my G27 pedals in the book rack with with an old circa 1994 $2500 Apple Powerbook. Best use for that lump I ever found. Believe it or not, all of this works and the pedals really don't move at all.

Oh wow, I think you guys would've liked my rig! Wish I knew about this sooner. I took a 60 cm x 22 cm birch plywood piece and cut it to fit between my wheel and base. Used the 32 button box arduino and mountet switches/buttons/encoders on it, with 4 of them allocated to a "stereo" cut-out. Also made 2 x 52 mm holes and made a bracket for an old smartphone on the backside, so I have speedo and revs :) Stained it darker so it looks sexy.
Also, I cut the legs down on a side table so my TH8A could be mounted in a more natural position, and extended the stick on it. I switched the knob into a more suitable one for truck driving.

    - HUY7NJ: For people driving so fast, you could swear that they were flying...
    - Jety: The laptop is admirable, the Cyberpunk merch less so. But the fluffy octopus and the Mini Eggs Easter Egg saves it
    - Jools: If the rig is under the stairs, where does he keep his socks?
    - Sprite: The cat is still going to scratch that to buggery
    - Nillzie: BIRB is his co-pilot
    - Dakoriki: DIY in extremis there. All the essentials you could ever have
    - k01bi: Certainly has the feel of wood there
    - dano579: PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THOSE ARE HIS WORK SHOES!!!
    - clotv2: Impressive collection of model cars there

take the corner of the shed where the rig was so we can have the stickers and the memes and it would look like nothing changed. literally have two walls of the shed sit in the middle of the room to keep the illusion.

Hey Jimmy... I am quite sure that the "coffin rig" is a setup that a mate of mine put together here in Australia! Sadly he lost his battle with "george" (thats what he called his cancer) a little over a year ago. He was a bloke short in stature and he picked up the coffin from somewhere. I recall that it was a display model. He was always very happy to go racing in it.

After missing so much a proper place to set up my wheel, I really like these Playseats.

I wish I still had some pics of the most blursed rig I've ever seen. So like 8 to 10 years back I was at a National Instruments event hosted by Sauber, and they had a rig in their public area that was built of an entry-level Thrustmaster wheel, a PS3, and the most recent official F1 game. And the whole thing was mounted to the front part of A GENUINE F1 CHASSIS! Like they cut it off like a foot behind the driver's head to safe space, but it was a 2 to 3 years old Sauber shell with front suspension, tyres, wings and everything. They even gave away some prices for the fastest laptimes during the event.
So basically it was the most expensive playseat ever. Your rig might have a direct drive wheel, but does it have carbon-carbon brakes?
