🐬 Dolphins are MAMMALS like us-not fish! But how do they survive living in the water? We sure couldn't do that. Dolphins have some special adaptations that make them very well suited for ocean life. These include being able to hold their breath for a long time, having a blowhole on top of their heads so they can quickly grab a breath of fresh air when they surface, special flippers that help them swim quickly through the water - they can even do something called ECHOLOCATION that allows them to find their way around and hunt for prey even in dark murky waters.
