    Any videos of how to tune radiator fans, on and of temps adjustments?

      I think our tune review video shows what I did with the fans.

    Probably already said but I don’t reduce stock timing cuz I feel like it’s already conservative and the factory detonation nanny’s will keep me protected

      It's crazy this was over a year ago already! I probably flashed the car 50+ more times and learned a lot since then.

    Appreciate the videos on the LT2, I own a 2104 Corvette LT1 And was looking at the LT2 Manifold. I saw the Mods to the bottom. On my Car i have a lower window cowl I need to consider raising for clearance. But I wanted to try to get an idea If the LT2 is worth the effort. My car is basic for now. What do you think??

      @EssMotorsports  Před 2 lety +1

      If I had a Corvette I would save up and buy the MSD manifold so I didn't have to cut my window cowl. That would be my concern.

    Thats awesome you decided to tune your own car.I took that leap last year and glad I did.Mind you I have a 4th gen camaro with the gen 3 which is way more simple then the gen 5 but you will get it.The only advise I have is keep the changes small so that if you notice something wrong you can go back to the last good tune you have.I have watched all your videos on the 6th gen camaro and you are definitely a good mechanic with a good knowledge of your car so you can do this.I am not sure if you watch Goat rope garage or not but he does a good job of explaining tuning and he has lots of videos on the gen 5.I also can't remember if you installed a wide band or not.If not definitely get one and you don't need the pro version of HP tuners it will work without the pro version.Good luck with the tuning.

      Thanks man. It was basically the only option for me as I like to tweak things and I knew I couldn't do that if I took it somewhere. Yeah I have a wideband installed. It's not too bad so far, just takes a little time. The torque based is kinda cool cause I can see from my old logs where the throttle was closing I was making 470ish hp and with it opening now I'm at 525ish. Calculated off of the torque! Kinda cool!

    Great video. Is the HP tuner hard to use?

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  Před 3 lety +1

      No it's surprisingly easy to use. I've watched a lot of CZcams videos on how to setup graphs etc and I'm getting it. Takes some time but will be worth it in the end.

      @@EssMotorsports that’s awesome to hear. I’ve always wanted to learn and it’s great to see you doing it. Inspirational for sure. Thank you! Subscribed! Going to look into doing it as well.

    How does the credit thing work, my understanding is it takes 2? Does that allow you to just mess with the tables infinitely?
    I had a hand held tuner for my motorcycle from Dyno jet all the tunes we basically pre packed caned tunes and you could download and change all day long

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  Před 3 lety

      4 credits for 2017 and newer. Unlimited changes on the one car then. U just go onto HP Tuners site and purchase and resync to your dongle. It's pretty easy. You can read and mess with everything first before buying credits. It's only when u write to the car the first time u need them

    I do tune my 2018 Camaro as well,
    I noticed
    - always there’s Knock retard
    - throttle position WOT 84% - 85%
    I do have Rotofab without aluminum bracket inside the air tube, and only did make MAF calibration.
    Please share us with a video your HP data log
    If you have questions we can help each other.
    In my opinion PE on 1200 rpm too early, make it after 3000 rpm (up to you in the end)
    Nice videos I watch them all.

      Thanks man! I'm getting it dialed in. I will have to do another video on progress. Car is running really good lately. I want to lean things out a bit as they are rich at wot yet. I'll get there

    Hello again
    Would you like to give us a look for your tune file especially (spark timing high/low octane) and scanning data log?

    How do you turn off engine light from adding long tube headers and x pipe?

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  Před 2 lety +1

      With hp tuners, under Engine Diag, DTCs, shut off all codes related to secondary O2 sensors. Will be called sensor 2, Bank 1 and 2. It's a quite a few of them. Uncheck and I set as No Error Reported
