- In today's episode, I'm making at stop at the Gamecube to look at some Pokémon spin-offs. First up is Pokémon Colosseum, the result of adding a story mode to Pokémon Stadium. Is it any good? God I hope so.

#Pokémon #PokémonColosseum #Nintendo - Hry
Mirror B is in top 10 battle themes.
Oh johnny, it's not just you. they DID reuse the stadium models
Wasn't a coincidence they didn't let you catch too many Gen1 Pokemon
They did reuse them. But not only that. Some models of the pokemon were slightly changed a bit though. Like the Jolteon compared to his/her N64 counterpart for example. Their jaw moves or modeled differently. So it’s true that they did reuse the same models, but they did change some them a bit.
TinStar I noticed that. They went the Gen 2 starters instead of the Gen 3 starters. That was a dead giveaway.
Damn right, that guy is the best and his theme is so catchy!
@@CarbonMalite I figured it was because the gen 1 remakes were already in preproduction by this point so this game was the main way you were going to get gen2
I demand Johnny to dance the Mirror B music in Gale of Darkness.
he probably will
my only problem with miror B's theme in gale of darkness is how muted it is compared to the rest of the game...come on, I want to GROOVE!
Yes!
superanimeniac Not helped with Brawlbrstms3 removing the song
Only if it's a 10 hour version
Rui can see Shadow Pokemon while others cannot.....but can she see why kids LOVE Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
The better question is, does she know why kids eat Apple Jacks, when it doesn't taste like apples?
Rui: "is it it's scary dark aura?"
Patrick: Boo! 👎 👎
Its the taste you can see 👀
As Johnny was hyping up the intro of Colosseum, I instantly though: "...Oh shit, he's going to hate the Wes is a silent protagonist, isn't he?"
Nah. He ended up making even dumber complaints than that.
@@unlimitedpower978 As a big fan of the gamecube Pokemon games, I'd say his complaints are pretty valid.
It's not really dumb. Story wasn't handled well and went from memorable to generic. The protag in the 3ds games (excluding x/y) had more personality than this guy.
Unlimited Power No they were valid
Unlimited Power what do you find dumb about his complaints? I really like Colosseum but I can completely understand why Johnny doesn’t like the game
You are correct, they all import their Pokemon in the Orre region.
Also there's rematches with the trainers that have Shadow Pokemon, so no need to reset, you can just get them later.
Gale of Darkness improves on a lot, so I think you'll like it.
Also fun fact: Call wakes up pokemon that are asleep and lowers the Shadow gauge.
XD makes purifying a lot easier and faster, but now trainers can have multiple Shadow Pokemon at once, and all Shadow Pokemon come with a unique move upon purification, so if you build competitive, have fun with that, but at least you can save whenever.
Well Orre is based off Arizona so no sane person would want to catch Pokemon with that heat and dusty hard surface. 😁
@@SunlitSonata14272 Well, also there's a pretty good reason to miss catching Shadow Pokemon, as a certain person will have them. Plus gives you more chances to listen to his amazing theme each and every single time.
XD is better except for the fact that you play a generic protagonist like the main series, not a morally questionable (to say the least) badass like Wes. Too bad Wes didn't live up to his potential...
GreyouTT well not all of them. You only get one chance for almost every cipher prob till you beat the game. The only characters you get multiple changes with during the main story are: The admins, skrub, the shadow Pokémon in pyrite town (except for Yanma, remoraid and mantine), the shadow Pokémon in relgam Colosseum (minus Nascour and evice) and whatever cipher peon you fought in phenac city. That may sound like a lot but if my calculations are correct you only get one chance for 20/41 Pokémon you can snag before the final boss. That’s nearly half of them. Plus in the case of the admins and the phenac peon you won’t get another chance till the final area
Hearing Johnny get hyped about the intro and protagonist made me sad, because having played the game, I knew what happens next.
Idk which emoji is more appropriate, this😂 or this😞
"I wouldn't be surprised if it was just their Stadium Models with just a tad more polish."
Funny you mentioned it Johnny.
That's exactly what these games did, the Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon Models were pretty much ripped from Stadium and Stadium 2 with minor touchups.
Coincidentally, a Colosseum is a type of Stadium.
Previous total: 161
This video: 71
Total times "Pokémon" said so far: 232
It doesn't affect Misdreavus!
I love Colosseum even if it gets repetitive. The concept of shadow pokemon and how Orre is just a wasteland of deceit and corruption.
I see what you did there...
Nice reference
Is that some sort of meme regarding Colosseum or something? Why? Did everyone use a Normal Type move against it?
Me: Going through SomeCallMeJohnny reviews
Johnny: Uploads a review
Me: Well, I guess I know what I’m doing now.
Alex James lmao same bro
go to pizza hut babyyyy
For real, I can't wait to see Johnny reviewing the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games.
same
Don’t forget Ranger
redblueandgray ranger, mystery dungeon, conquest; the ds definitely had the best pokémon spin-offs, but if Johnny looked at them all, this marathon would last another year
Makes me sad that they messed with the formula so much
Like R/B and TDS nailed it, but Gates and Super were just garbage
But it feels like if they bring it back they will double down on the RNG bangles and the team attacks and the lack of a Pokémon test
Leon Super were not garbage. People liked that because there were more Pokémon.

@@easiestcc6451 Most of Nascour's Pokémon are weak to Dark.
Hmm... It's almost as if Nascour fell to evil.
Look I know it's not the best Pokemon game, But Mirror B's magnificent fro captured my heart like a master ball.
There's a reason he returns for XD.
I'm amazed he didn't comment on that funky good music. One of my favorites
@FinalHunter not as much as I was hoping. Wasn't gushing over it like he has with others in the past
His Gale Of darkness theme tho.... I still listen it to this day heh.
Pokemon Colosseum was very fascinating in certain aspects for me. It has it flaws, but it intrigued me as a kid that was so used to the mainline games at that point.
I think if we got a new game similar to this and XD, I'd be interested.
Same. It’s the main reason why I was disappointed in Battle Revolution for the Wii as I thought it would pick up where these games left off but instead it went back to Stadium style. I know with Sword and Shield coming out, it’s redundant to ask for a console Pokémon RPG now but I still wouldn’t mind having a similar tone/idea with Shadow Pokémon in a future game. There are a handful of fan games that do this so there’s that, I suppose.
@@redstreak9430 Battle Revolution is just a pretty distraction that's somehow even more barren than the Stadium games. I don't even think the music is very good, especially compared to the amazing Colosseum and XD soundtracks. Huge disappointment that game was, could hardly believe it was made by the same studio, I mean the quality is obviously there but the quantity is not.
@Jazzy_Jefferson Honestly, if there was more dark elements to it, this game would be pretty significant to Pokemon fans. We would have our version of Mega Man X. The issue is it plays more like a mainline Pokemon game with an extended Team ________ storyline. If the story was darker or had more of the undertones that maybe what you're doing isn't right, I think this would be a great game. It's still good, but it's not good enough.
Wish they'd bring Mirror B. back in a New Pokemon game... just imagine the champion of region randomly being Mirror B. XD
I'd just love him and his two underlings being a traveling music group, and they're visiting the region right as you start your journey. Great excuse to remaster his sex-licious battle theme, anyway.
They will never do it because then said game would be impossible to top.
Fun fact: the models for Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon were in fact ripped and polished from Stadiums 1 and 2, meaning only Gen 3 Pokemon have unique models
that explains so much.
@@TheGamersShade honestly the Machop line had it the worst
I love this game a lot though I know it isn't perfect
But even Johny messes up a bunch of stuff. He complained and complained about difficulty but he skipped an entire area of the game that would have given him the exp he needed. And he makes a lot of complaints about the shallowness of the story or whatever but on most games he gives context about similar games in the genre, other games in the franchise, and the context of the industry at the time. And he does not of that here.
Luckily, XD fixes most of his complains. I’m hoping he enjoys it a bit more. I had a ton of fun with Colosseum but I’ve replayed XD more times than I can think of. It’s just an overall better game and I hope he can see that!
Unlimited Power that being said, his other complaints are still valid. The games story feels like an after thought with a shoe string of a story. It’s just. A worse mainline Pokémon game. Nostalgia is a hellaova drug
Unlimited Power His point about the story is valid: the game begins with a cutscene that gives you the expectation that it's not going to be the usual cliche story from the main games but immediatly drops it, like they couldn't commit enough to that direction and backpedaled to the status quo
I love it too but I understand. But XD is way better
I'll say this: as someone who has played both Colosseum and Gale of Darkness, I can say that the successor does improve on minor things in the gameplay and story. It does a MUCH better job with the shadow pokémon purification mechanic, and the story, in my opinion, is a bit more interesting. Unfortunately, the game's structure and battle mechanics are pretty much still the same since the setting is the Orre Region again with a couple of new locations, and they still kept the double battles. Also, I think you're gonna like Miror B's theme a bit more. I do find Gale of Darkness to be the better game, but in it's own merits, it's still a decent game with enough changes to stand out compared to Colosseum.
i always liked colosseum more for having better and more challenging battles, a super solid art direction and better pacing
@@LeafGreen906 same here
i like the story in coluesum more.
Actually, it is just their stadium models freshened up a bit. This is evidenced not only by comparisons, but that the end of Smeargle's tailbrush is red instead of green.
And Jumpluff's puffs having SQUARE shadows! (Something they thankfully fixed in XD)
Fun fact Johnny missed the call command also wakes up sleeping pokemon
And the entirety of Mt. Battle beyond the quick part of the story. All of his complaints about difficulty is immediately rendered silly.
Unlimited Power well mt battle can go along with the grinding issue. After all you have to go through multiple trainers to get to the high level ones
To be fair, I didn't know you can wake sleeping pokemon up until I did it myself to see if it worked. I don't believe there's any sort of NPC that tells you that you can do that.
@@OmegaDragonGaming I think I read it in the game manual myself back then...
Before watching this I'd finished the SGB Tales of Symphonia playthrough. Johnny if you wanted a good disco theme for Yggdrasil Disco Jesus. Miror B theme from Gale of Darkness or Colosseum would've been perfect!
Glad you can appreciate the ambition Colosseum had. It doesn't deliver all the way. But it definetly stood out from the rest.
God I forgot about Disco Jesus until you mentioned it here.
I adored playing Gale of Darkness as a kid, but I never got to play Colosseum and I had no idea the two were related! Really interesting! Great video and here's hoping you end up enjoying one of my childhood favorites in the next one :)
Welp. Time to brush off my Gamecube. Thanks for the review Johnny!
You are correct about the Stadium models being used. They're the same in XD as well.
You're absolutely right, John. Colosseum imported all the Gen 1 and Gen 2 mons straight from Stadium 2. In fact, it wouldn't be until X & Y that they would make new models for them. In fact, they did the same with Poké Floats in Melee, which leads me to believe they made that stage at the last second.
Now’s the perfect time to say..
HAPPY 200TH JOHNNY VS. VIDEO!
How dare Johnny not talk about our lord and savior Mirror B
Miror B wasnt the GOAT until XD, which im glad he'll cover
Johnny, I wouldn't say "skip it." I will admit it is a very tiring game, especially early on. And a first-time player will not know what Pokémon to get with limited options.
But what always makes me come back to this game is the amount of depth you can have with your strategies, despite these limitations. Double Battles allow you to do a lot of quirky and interesting strategies that you couldn't do in the main games. They are supposed to be fast, but due to the drawn-out animations and how weak you are in the early game, this game mitigates that perk.
Surprisingly, it's also the characters that keep me coming back. There's a lot JRPG tropes that I always felt were played up for laughs, but I genuinely liked Miror B and the dark atmosphere.
The game is a breath of fresh air that doesn't overstay its welcome. I think a second playthrough wouldn't be a bad idea, since you know what to expect and you can use that prior knowledge to craft a better team. From the looks of it, you did have a pretty good team, though.
Oh, and I can say up-front that *almost* everything is improved in the sequel.
I disagree, the game definitely overstays it's welcome and the only thing that's really a breath fresh of air was a few characters and just the concepts used, not how it's executed. I don't think it's bad but the only thing worth checking out 'for a unique experience' is how it's handled, but that doesn't mean it deserves people's attention.
That is why skipping it is the most logical decision. It's dated and pokemon is more improved and much more easier to get such as Pokemon black 1/2.
That game has so much unique concepts, interesting stories, convenience for players, challenging difficulty, and all of the pokemon mechanics missing from this gamecube game.
I've played both, and XD is better but I prefer Colosseum for the music. That's just personal preference.
I'd honestly say, play them both. My only issue with the review is when he was complaining about playing a mute main character. At the time when the game came out, it wasn't an uncommon thing to see in games. Plus all the Pokémon games at the time, had muted main characters. So they just continued the theme. Lol
With all that being said, if it was based on what developers had access at the time, it's really not that bad. It was a different take on Pokémon, and the concept was cool. You got to do something we've all tried, stealing trainers Pokémon.
@@eth3rscur375 well that's the problem with most rpgs so shut up.
@@diannejohn5346 very constructive comment, move along buddy. Literally added nothing to the conversation, let alone the content that was given to us.
@@eth3rscur375 ...what?
"This disco dude, this big oaf, this forgettable lady, this forgettable scientist"
Haha, what a nice description of those admins.
Fire Red and Leaf Green also work with Coloseeum but you need the National Pokedex and to finish the Network Machine Upgrade Side Quest first.
So it's basically pointless to do so
CharacterLimits I should mention that in Gen 3 Ho-Oh and Lugia weren’t required to get the national dex because of how tedious it is to get Ho-Oh in Colosseum and the game doesn’t provide any hints on how to purify Shadow Lugia
CharacterLimits I meant those Pokémon in this gen are optional to get the diploma like event exclusive Pokémon
I guess this game has its flaws, but I have so many good memories with it. My dad and I played it together, then we’d replay it every summer. It was special to us.
I love the challenge of the game and how different it is with everything being a double battle, and the grittier setting. The level gap never seemed too bad when you use the legendaries the game gives you.
I would have loved to see Trainers reactions to us stealing back their Shadow Pokemon. Honestly there's so much poetinial to this game that if enough effort is put into this storyline overall, then it would have been a better story told game.
First time watching Johnny, and god damn did that intro give me flashbacks to old jontron
I’m so glad you got to this series! I actually don’t have any experience with Coliseum beyond Chuggaconroy’s playthrough, but I play Gale of Darkness more times than I can count. It was definitely a huge part of my childhood! Hope you like it better!
A lot of the boss battles in Pokémon Colosseum are really memorable because they use tactics that you would never see outside this game. Dakim uses an Earthquake, Protect strat that can devastate unprepared teams and Ein has a rain team that relies on Thunder. Even Mirror B has Ludicolos with both Rain Dish and Swift Swim for some impressive versatility given that he's using all the same Pokémon. The most memorable of all being the final battle against Evice where he Skill Swaps his Slaking to remove its Truant ability so it can terrorize your entire team and the limited options really make Scizor difficult to defeat. Though this is the only game that I've had to grind for I really don't mind because the best ways to grind are to fight in the Colosseums, which give you TMs for completing them. Finally, this game's limited options and the fact that gen 3 has very unique mechanics allows for a lot of Pokémon to get more use than normal. My favorite examples of this are Misdreavus, Magcargo and Meganium. The former are Pokémon that are only available in gen 2's post game, while Meganium has a really uphill battle in the core games. Misdreavus in particular is incredible because its immune to so many types that it allows you to get away with a lot of dumb stuff (Chuggaconroy for reference here)
Watching a new review from SomecallmeJohnny always makes my day.
Colosseum was a huge part of my childhood I'm so glad to see you go over it :o
Maaaan this marathon is taking forever. You better give us a bad ass game review after this...banjo kazooie type of bad ass!
Perfect timing with the upload, Johnny. I was looking for something to watch.
I was just thinking about this game. Weird how someone reviews it after.
Personally, I like XD a lot more than Colosseum. I think you might too once you give it a shot.
As much as I like Colosseum, I have to agree that Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness is more better than Colosseum. At least, you can Pokemon other than the shadow ones in that one (Although in fixed spots on the map) and it gives the pokeballs more usage than just catching shadow pokemon. And I like that there’s a way to cure the shadow pokemon of it’s corruption faster than on Colosseum (which on there I felt the purifying process was tedious). There’s so many things that XD improved on, but it still have some of the flaws that Colosseum has. But all in all, it’s a better game than Colosseum.
idk. I love the character designs, overall vibe and music more in colosseum. but xd has more selection. if colosseum had more variety like xd does id like it more.as it stands they're pretty neck and neck but id give xd the slight edge due to there being more Pokémon to customize your team with. in colosseum you're probably gonna be repeating team members for atleast half your team
Just want to say, I've been watching this channel since 2011 and this channel has grown so much. Whenever I have time spare, I always try and watch your content as soon as. Keep up the good work Johnny.

TheNCSmaster Yo, same here!
“I hope Gale of Darkness is a better time.” Yes, yes it is. In terms of purifying Shadow Pokémon, it’s a WHOLE lot better ^^
A good portion of the Stadium models look fine, except Machamp, he looks so awful
Edit: good to see Johnny agrees
Hazard Rider Nice Kamen Rider Build pic.
Most of the Gen 1 pokemon in Colosseum and gale of darkness look awful in my opinion. It’s especially frequent in Gale of Darkness
@@scrubbleague6217 Probably because Gale of Darkness actually lets you catch Kanto Pokemon. In fact it has better variety all around since you can also catch wild Pokemon. Not many of them, but enough to add some variety.
Respect to Chugga Conroy who purified every shadow Pokémon in coliseum and gale of darkness or the sake of the let’s play
No joke.... I did purify them all too.... and back in colosseum.... it was a PAIN! >_
Complains about using Pokémon he hasn’t seen before... I guess we’re in gen 5 already.
Unfortunately, it's really easy to just rely on your favorites to get through Pokemon games. You tend to know their learnsets, their strengths and weaknesses, and know how to run them best as opposed to something you never thought to use like a Mantine or Tropius.
This is why nuzlockes are so popular; you force yourself to learn new Pokemon and even gain new favorites as a result. Or even more impressive, your previous favorites you relied on, you realize they're simply not as good as you thought, especially as power creep affects later gens.
Before you jump in to XD I want to point something out John. Mirror B does return in Gale of Darkness as someone you can fight to get certain Shadow Pokemon you didn't get the first time around. So if you're a completionist you might get sick of his snazzy theme. Also don't worry Johnny XD's protagonist starts with an Eevee so you can get a Vaporeon in that game. Lastly don't worry Johnny. Team Snagem returns in XD and ACTUALLY does something related to the plot.
Gale of Darkness is a way better time with a less interesting protagonist.
Colosseum is interesting for how much it changed up the Pokémon formula while keeping the basics intact, yeah they stumbled a few times and made things a little more frustrating than they needed to be but thankfully a lot of those problems were addressed in XD. Purifying Pokémon is a lot easier and less time consuming, the difficulty spikes are nowhere near as harsh or frequent, the selection of available Pokémon is much better and a lot wider and everything just felt like Colosseum but less aggravating.
Personally I adore XD Gale of Darkness and would absolutely love to see more games like it.
I think the Pokemon variety is the best thing XD improved. I haven't played the game in a decade or so, but if I recall correctly you can catch like half of the Kanto dex on top of Johto and Hoenn, which is way better than the limited set of some Johto and some Hoenn Pokemon in Colosseum.
Who else wants this game and XD ported to the Switch? With the Pokemon games always getting the complaint of being too easy, they could really well I think.
Also, yeah, the final stretch of this game is brutal, but its actually kinda nice seeing a Pokemon game not give a care about your feelings and just go for your life. The main games just never have moments like that. (Outside of Ghetsis perhaps, but that's it's own can of worms.)
I personally want to see a complete remake of Colosseum and XD on the Switch. Give Wes and Michael voices and personalities, have them interact with their pokemon and world, like give us a good payoff after teasing us with Wes blowing up a building with a smile on his face.
@@davidlaush180 most pokemon games have silent protags.
@@jkarma3356 Yeah and it's kinda lame tbh. Especially for a side story like this.

Funny enough, I remember that commercial that you show at the end Johnny. Many brings back memories of my childhood.
Gotta say, I wasn't expecting this. Buuuut... Thanks regardless!👍
You Can Get Ho-Oh After Getting All Shadow Pokémon
but thats after 100 battles in Mt battle in the colloseum mode.
But before any of that, you have to purify those Shadow Pokemon as well.
Ahhh.. the Mt. Battle.... the Pit Of 100 Trials of the pokemon universe....
The moment I saw Johnny catch Bayleef, I knew he had no idea that you could try to exit the town through a different side of the map in order to catch Quilava or Croconaw instead. That might've helped with the lack of fire types, but hey, at least he could do that another time if he were to ever revisit this game. I can't help but wonder if he did the doppelganger arc, it was small but kinda neat. Looking forward to the next review!
Never played the Coloseum games as I didn't get a Gamecube until way later.

Honestly, I don't think Wes should've been a Silent Protagonist. And hearing you recap the story made me think that Gonzap should either been the Final Boss, or at least part of the endgame gauntlet.

Not sure you'll like Gale of Darkness that much more. It improves a LOT of things over the first game and makes Shadow Pokemon more interesting, but the story is pretty much the same.
Only reason why I gotten Colosseum was because of the Jirachi event, but as the game itself? I still enjoyed it a lot; but prefer XD way more.
XD fixes A LOT of flaws from Pokemon Colosseum and makes the shadow pokemon a bit more in depth with the artificial moves and such, so I agree.
Watching this has given me so many flashbacks of this game. I might be looking back on it with Rose tinted glasses but I remember enjoying this game alot
Thanks for the fideo, it's always refreshing to see one of these.
You completely missed one big part of the game that not only helps purifying but leveling too:
Mt. Battle
100 Battles that gradually become higher levels, starting in the 10s lvl up to 60ish, being automatically healed after every battle, you also earn BP which you can use to buy items and high tier TMs like Ice Beam and Thunderbolt.
And Mt. BAttle pretty much erases his complaining about difficulty. Like yeah, skipping a huge portion of the game's content in an RPG makes you really weak.
Yeah, mt battle was essentially your grinding exp tower with a nice reward at the end. He did mention the fact that 3 time flutes exist in the game, so maybe he did beat mt battle post game?
@@Finalblue1234

Such a hidden gem of Pokemon - not enough people know about it. The atmosphere, story, music, and difficulty are AMAZING.
I thought a lot of his complaints about the game were really, really dumb. Like the difficulty complaints when he skipped Mt. Hoo, boy! It's my birthday, and you review a personal favorite from my childhood! YEAH BABY!

Should we warn Johnny how SLOW gen 4 games is?
Nah....I’m sure he’ll find out soon enough
That's my favorite gen and yea it dragged sometimes
I think he knows. We should ask him to cover Diamond/Pearl as well as Platinum to better highlight the major issues of the former that the latter fixed.
Although I should add that I actually started Pokémon with Gen 4 and yeah it was slow but I can’t stay mad at it because it’s where I started with the series
@@Snow-gi4lt It starts out fine, but past Veilstone is when I feel it REALLY starts slowing to a gradual crawl.

New somecallmejohny review at 3am
Me: Awwwww shut here we go again
My friend recently had me start a file of Colosseum almost entirely because of how ridiculous and interesting the intro cutscene was. To quote my friend, "Just LOOK at that shit-eating grin!"
He then told me I didn't need to play anymore and could skip the game, and I was confused. The intro was so cool! I wanted to play more to find out about the character and his situation!
Then I played another hour and understood exactly what he meant. I appreciate you going through this one Johnny so I don't have to. This is one dropped game I don't regret.
I'm very happy to see you cover this game, Pokémon Colosseum is honestly better than many of the main series Pokémon games in my opinion.
Johnny: *Uses Mantine as his main water type*
Quagsire: “Am I a joke to you?”
ScrubbLeague dude, I didn’t think much of mantine at first, but I recently used one in my playthrough of heartgold, and mantine was awesome! a great special wall that could take a thunderbolt to the face and still stay above half hp, despite its pitiful hp stat. definitely recommend it
Diego Lomba Yeah I guess I’m being pretty biased since I always chose quagsire as my main water type. I can’t help myself though, it knows surf and earthquake :D
ScrubbLeague maybe I should try a quagsire sometime
He must not have watched Chuggaaconroy's LP of Colosseum. Marshall is truly a king among kings.
Johnny also would have had an easier time if he fought the Quilava trainer instead of the Bayleef trainer. But nothing in the game suggests that you can only fight one of them so yeah...
Please make your next review after Pokémon XD Team Sonic Racing. I want to see your reaction to Big coming back.
I assure you, it’ll probably be a non-reaction.
I don’t think hes gonna review Team Sonic Racing or atleast not now maybe later tho hopefully
Uwu Uwu Like Allstars Racing Transformed, I don’t think he’s have much to say on the game.
I have some HEAVY nostalgia goggles for this game. It was one of my most played GameCube games as a kid.
I’ve had the bonus disc of this game since I was a child despite me not playing the game or Pokémon for years til I was about 12. What a coincidence that you upload this on the same day I decide to buy a GBA to GameCube link cable to finally get the free Jirachi
Love the new intro.... ESPECIALLY THE CAT WHATS HIS/HER NAME!!
Her name is Selene/Celine.
@@ColinG943 thanks
trying to catch a shadow pokemon
*Recoil Damage be like: YEET!*
He finally used the WHOOOOO sound clip 3:24. I've been waiting for that
This is one of the few Pokemon games I've actually had direct experience with
Finally, some vidya representation for the name Wes. ;)
11:42 *gasp* Johnny said Pokémon differently
This game and Ruby were my childhood pokemon games. I appreciate that you pointed out more flaws than I thought. Big kudos man. Goodness you may have the best reviews on CZcams.
Any "missed" shadow pokemon trainers can be refought after leaving the area, or the shadow pokemon will appear in the arena, which is also where you can get plenty of experience. So nothing can be locked out, its the same in the sequel too so take that to heart
I've always loved how this game looked! It's like Pokemon meets Final Fantasy 7.
"uploaded 1 minute ago" how about that for timing
Oh dude he uploaded this after a collage test i took
I was waiting for this review all week. So glad its here!
I’m surprised he didn’t mention Mt. Battle one time, that’s one of the biggest parts of this game.
Yeah confusing, especially with his complaints about grinding. Maybe he didn't notice
Come on Johnny!! I have an English Paper due, if I don't pass I'm sueing someone.
when you finish watching this, go do it.
I’m already a Shadow Pokemon, kaz.
Oh shit wrong game
Congratulations on 200 Johnny Vs. videos John!!!
Every video just gets better and better
