I will walk you through my design thought process and explain the tools used within 3DCOAT, Keyshot and photoshop.

If this isn't the most impressive example of 3D Coat modeling it's got to be near the top. This is the kind of work it needs if it's going to win the place it deserves among DCC's. Thanks a lot for this. a great tutorial.

Wonderful ! The community desperately needs good tutorials on 3DCoat. It is a great software but if the 3d Coat Team had few great artists delivery a steady stream of tutorials from beginner to advance level, the sale would escalate exponentially. Thanks !

Super helpful! Thanks for making this.
It's nit-picking I know, but the cable you painted in at the very end has...some issues. The highlight should be all along the top side, not stopping where it bends, because it's laying almost flat on the ground, right? And then some reflected light in the shadows would make it pop. It looks a but M.C. Esher-y the way it is. Just in case someone is wondering what is off wit that. It's the highlight should be all along the top

Greetings Robert! A great choice of reference images, very interesting and futuristic pieces of machinery. Could you please share your .pur file? I also have a couple of juicy refs that may correspond to your design language. Maybe we can organize an exchange?
