Vineeth resembles his father(one of my favorite actor/writer) so much. Looking at his career he worked hard to come to this point of being different and the better version of his father. Never noticed him because star kids are not hyped that much in kerala to an extent that they're actually on the same level as outsiders. But vineeth has come a long way with hridyam and this movie, proud of him.

I think this movie is going to set a new trend in the indian film industry.
Even when we get to see a dark protagonist in movies, at the end of the day he does that for a good reason.
But this movie change that narrative. The hero is still a dark hero at the end, he does that for his own gain. And thats what happens in real life.
The sucess of this movie shows that, the audience are ready to accept this kind of story. Even if the protagonist has crossed the moral line. I think this will give a push for writers to write this kind of movies in the future.

The last dialogue in the scene his wife says, in malayalam language, we all say that... "ingane oombi thirinju irikkumbol...." which nobody else in the world can understand it in its full scale even with the support of the best translator. The cultural linguistic understanding comes into play. That last dialogue is a reality.

I think this film actually depicts the current situation .also we believe in karma because it shows our helplessness as well.we arenot able to do anything abt it due to our inability and expects karma to revenge for u.the last dialog in the movie was really opened that perspective and that was nice as well .

People like Vineeth and many others are not charismatic to become big superstars, many less charismatic guys tried to become regular super stars and failed.
Vineeth wants to make it as an actor, he is in search for very disturbing stories, the stories that are suppressed by main stream media, big injustices that are deliberately over looked. His kind of movies explore the dark of man and society. Yet again, Malayalam cinema is never over sensationalist, it wants the audience to be judge, not tutor them or compel the audience to take sides. Nor tries to intimidate them with too gory representation.
Most other audiences are not given big role, once he has bought a ticket, he is a nobody, a guy forced to sit through the one sided narrative. These brilliant Malayalam movies want audience to have a power to reject one sided narrative.

When some Mr.Rights criticised Arjun Reddy citing the reasons
    1) grey shades in the main lead are glorified; and
    2) the main lead got a happy climax, despite the grey shades in his character
I said their hatred didn't have anything to do with these things. In reality, they're feminists and their morals are only limited to how a girl is being treated in a film and anything else is just BS. The same social reformers thought Mukundan Unni was a classic film, and the above things didn't matter, proving me right 🙂
Nevertheless, this is such a good film, esp acting is on point. Writing could have been better here and there, but a fantastic story 👌

You are really mistaken mukundan unni in the movie has been portrayed as bad character through out the movie there is no admiration of his doings and clearly not glorifying what he does.
On the other hand arjun reddy has been glorified a lot he treats the co actress like shit and she even like him back after all he did to her it has shown a toxic relationship as pure love.

    • @Djockzone
      @Djockzone Před rokem

@@mohammedjaseel2347 Depends how you define ‘glorification’. When all characters are negative and the character that’s the most negative gets to be the happiest almost every time, finds his girl who admires him very conveniently right where he does his business, dies yet comes back alive, only to end up as the ultimate winner with celebrating music playing in the background..... if that’s not glorification, then what is? I think if I recall correctly there’s even a dialogue that goes something like “you are a bad man, so don’t worry. Bad people don’t die easily”. Being bad is not as bad as it seems is what the film is indirectly conveying. In reality, if you like film, you can find gazillions of excuses to support that and vice versa. It’s the excuses they gave for criticizing AR that’s disappointing, not the fact that they didn’t like AR.

    • @Djockzone

@@mohammedjaseel2347 In AR, however, dude ignores the girl, she is pissed off, doesn’t give a fk when he comes to her house asking her to come with him, leaves him for good, the guy goes into self-destruction mode, loses life, loses the career that he admires the most, begs the girl literally to come home with him even when he believes she’s got pregnant with another dude.... yes, his ill treatment towards the girl is glorified. Why? Because the child happens to be his, not someone else’s? 🤦‍♂️

@@Djockzone I don't understand why people are against Arjun Reddy. A film should be treated as just a film. The film is talking about Arjun Reddy and preethi love story and life, why is it connected to everyone's life and why people taking it personally. A film should be treated as a film , I don't believe in dissecting a film too much like how the feminists did. A director has a right to make the film the way he want but of course there some limits for example glorifying a rapist is wrong but that won't happen since films reflect society and society don't reflect films. If somenone behaves like arjun reddy then he has psychological problem that's not anbody's fault. The feminists should understand that first.
