Bro Nivin pauly character is not related with Ajith kumar, Nivin pauly character is spoof of his own. Because nivins last 7 movies are flop and he getting so much body shames from the media basically nivin is playing his own life in this movie ( Nivin pauly × Nithin moly) that's nothing to do with Ajith Kumar!

    • @kiranm8817
      @kiranm8817 Před měsícem +17

Malayalam also has a lot of Sanskrit words…. Varsham; jeevitham; premam are all Sanskrit words. The Malayalam used officially by the government is highly sanskritized; so is the language taught in schools and colleges. I don’t think a Tamilian would be able to understand the Malayalam used in news channels. So we have a colloquial Malayalam closer to Tamil and a standardised one closer to Sanskrit. This makes it easy for us to understand both Indo Aryan and Dravidian languages. We can understand Hindi that is devoid of Urdu terms ; Kannada spoken at a slower speed is comprehensible; Telugu as you said is mainly understood through the common Sanskrit terms that are peppered here and there.

Loved what you talk about Malayalam cinema here. Malayalees are the ones who criticize and scrutinize Malayalam cinema so much.Malayalees always talk about how they act in movies, whether they are newcomers or nepo kids . Malayalees don't hesitate to troll them no matter how big they are, they troll them even if it's politics or movies. In Malayalam cinema, there are more movies with good life value. The recently released Aadu Jeeweetham is the fastest 100 crores movie in Malayalam. Even though Aadu Jeeweetham is a movie with less entertainment and celebration, the Malayalees are praising that movie to the brim and giving it all the support and praises for a long time. That is a special feature of the Malayalee audience because I have heard people talking about this movie in Tamil and it is slow. They say that it is very difficult, there is no entertainment, but a Malayalee will never say that. I thought that's something you forgot to mention that's why I'm posting this comment here I'm also a big tamil movie fan watching many good movies in tamil since my childhood and you're watching malayalam movies now it gives me so much happiness all good movies play in theaters may indian cinema grow big❤

So Nice to here good reviews about malayalam Film industry. ❤❤
Of course Bharati Raja and Mani Ratnam were film makers from Tamil, known for movies with culturally rooted stories and often shot organically, They are the inspiration for Many Malayalam Film makers..
Some of the positive points on movies by Good film makers in Malayalm (compare to other regional languages) are
    1. Story & Screenplay are considered as the backbone of the film, above Stardom. (Ofcourse exceptions are there. Movies like Bandra, Arattu, Monster, Thangamani are examples, but didnt get much appreciation
    2. Charactor arc is often defined clearly in screenplay. There can be multiple layers in charactors. Even heros can have negative shades. (A charactor need not be just black or white.(extremely good or evil). There can be a shade of grey in the spectrum)
    3. Use of other languages organically.(usually with subtitles where required). For example, Tamil is used extensively in Manjummel boys. No effort to make People of kodaikanal to speak Malayalam for audience. So all the local people, policemen, Guide, photographer, shopkeeper, at kodaikanal in manjummel boys, speak tamil only.)
    4. The acting and expressions are more often natural and subtle unless a specific charactor demands that. No over acting in movies of good directors. (Exceptions are there)
    5. Colaboration and co existance between film makers. They do colaborate without any egos. For example, The driver charactor in Manjummel boys is played by Khalid Rahman, director of thallumala, Soubin & Jean poul acted in manjummel boys are independant movie directors themselves. Premalu is produced by Fahad fazil, Shyam pushkaran & Dileesh pothen under "Bhavana studios" Banner. Of them, Fafa is an actor, shyam pushkaran a leading sctipt writer & Pothen a famous director himself. There is no ego clash there even though they didnt contribute any of their respective skills in movie "Premalu". Infact shyam pushkaran acted as a goon in the climax scene of Premalu.

The discussion is really invalid as you have missed some amazing Malayalam films. The Malayalam industry has been making amazing movies from ages but film industries outside Kerala have been ignorant. Try for instance Rani Padmini directed by Ashiq Abu- which is a female centric movie with no hero and you will be blown away by the story.

There was a time when there was more star worship in Tamil cinema. When movies are made for stars, the story does not have much depth. After the OTT platform came, Tamil audiences got an opportunity to watch films in many other languages. People's taste has changed. Content is important. If a normal movie or super star's movie doesn't matter.Cinema should be able to connect with the people.Or else it will be failure

Ys malayalam movies might not have seen big numbers earlier unlike other industries its mainly bcoz of constraint budgets n low profile promotions due to the same ..
Now post covid n ott releases more non malayali audiences have started watching malayalam movies n started liking their content..hence there's mass approval.
Malayalam industry have always made content driven movies,ys in btw even they lost track but im elated that they r bk on track 👏👏👏

Instead of cinema people looking at surroundings, Those who are looking surroundings closely are getting opportunities in malayalam movies industry, its bit more easy for a talent to reach industry, Basil joseph, alphonse puthren, RDX director got opportunity just after a short a film

  • @dharamiyer29

You dont need to think of a 300-400 Crore range my brother. I agree recovery and earning profit should definitely be part of cinema as it is not a charity. But at the same time, understanding and not taking audience for granted is something that is minimum expected from the makers including actors. I dont support any cinema specifically but yes good content is definitely I look forward to if I am spending 400-700 INR on a movie.
Every industry had its own ups and downs. Like how we are celebrating Malayalam Cinema with 6 movies of this year, there are bad movies also releasing there. But the quality of good movies overpowers not only the bad but also movies from other industries. The reason is the budget of Malayalam movies are less, promotion/marketing expenses are less, no corporate studios and finally the culture you find within Kerala. Tamil movies to an extent are being managed either by Sun Network producing super stars movies or Red Giant. Other producers are taking money on interest and making the movies. What do we see? A Vijay doing same masala item songs, Ajith doing same bike chasing or good cop-bad cop flicks or Rajnikanth doing same heroic roles hitting 100 people.
Audience has changed. Hence our actors need a change too. I would love to see Rajnikanth in a helpless character and how differently he can portray that or a movie like Drishyam or a common man role? Can Vijay experiment the way Sethupathy is going? Can he do a simple story and pull it off? The day stars think differently, audience will surely see a new wave of Tamil Cinema.
It surely cannot be carried by a Kamal Hasaan, Vikram or a Dhanush or a Surya alone!!!!

Tamil industry has been saying election and ipl and postponing all the releases meanwhile King Kong came and collected 30crs this is our condition. I know good cinema takes time but the planning should be in a way that audiences get entertainment regularly. But imagine if big Tamil movies have released now. You will not be having this discussion. So whatever is happening for good for both industries. Last year was a struggle for Malayalam, same happening for Tamil this year. It takes time to make Good stuff ❤

Stakes bro. Its all about how much money is at stake. When too much money is involved, directors go with already proven formula like two dance songs, one hero entry, five mass fight scenes etc etc. This can only be solved with more new capable actors coming in which we see in Malayalam industry.
