    Incrivel como é bom viver no primeiro mundo. Aqui no brasil mau conseguimos o filtro de óleo . porque é igual da mb180d. Nem a junta do carter do cambio 722.1 encontro . nem importação consigo

    Noticed you did not change out the oring on the oil filter. Can't that effect the oil level. I might be wrong, because of the differences in models.

      Yes the o-ring was absolutely changed on the oil filter housing. I may not have recorded it.

    Anybody know what size is the Special Tool/ Socket used at 16:59-17:06? And where to get the special tool (screwdiver with a slot in it) that John uses at 17:35 to remove the slotted nut at the bottom of fuel gauge unit? Trying to get my unit back to working like he shows here at 22:30-22:40 haha

    • @woodsandbarclay
      @woodsandbarclay  Před 8 měsíci +1

      you have to take a flathead screwdriver and use a cut off wheel to make a slot in it. You can order the socket from Mercedessource.com he may also sell the slotted screwdriver.

    thanks for these videos, is there one that you do show the power steering fluid flush?

    • @woodsandbarclay
      @woodsandbarclay  Před 7 měsíci

      To flush the power steering just disconnect the low pressure hose and put it in a jug. Then turn the wheel back and forth lock to lock several times and it will pump all the fluid out.

    • @allenying
      @allenying Před 7 měsíci

      thanks, with engine off or running it briefly?

    • @woodsandbarclay
      @woodsandbarclay  Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@allenying you can do it with the engine on or off. It helps to lift the front wheels off the ground a little bit so you can easily turn the steering wheel. Start by doing it with the engine off if the engine is on it'll blow out really quickly and might make a mess.

    What made you start using the Lubrication Engineers Oil instead of the Shell Rotella T4? And that special tool at 17:36 can suggest part store that sell those?

    • @woodsandbarclay
      @woodsandbarclay  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I used the lubrication engineers oil when I was professionally racing due to its very good heat resistance. It's a boutique oil and a little higher quality than shell. That's why I recently started using it. You can make that to yourself with a small cut off wheel. They do not sell these in stores.

      @@woodsandbarclay Well that's really cool! So when you sell a car to a new owner and they are aware of this better oil. When its time for them to do a oil change and if they want to keep using it; How will they get it?

    • @woodsandbarclay
      @woodsandbarclay  Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@sonofprince4124 if you watch the video I explain exactly how to order it. Yes I tell my customers about this oil. but as long as you're using heavy duty diesel oil 15 W 40 you will be fine
