- I well never forget as a very young man, playing songs from the "SkyPilot" Album and all the beautiful songs that Doris would sing. Truly one of the Best song writers and a voice of an Angel.

May 21,1923 - July 26,1995
Magnificent. I learned of this beautiful gospel singer today. I'm 62 years old and I have been blessed by her singing all day long. I only wished I knew of her sooner. In church we would always sing. Sweet, Sweet Spirit and now it takes on new meaning to me, knowing that she was the original singer. Such an anointing that permeates from the depths of her soul. I thank God I was introduced to her today. Twenty-seven years after her passing. She is still reaching others with her love of God. A powerful voice that just cuts to your soul. Her accomplishments in life were profound too. What a blessing she was to so many people. I thank God I was given this opportunity to discover her today. Thank you Lord. 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Rivers of tears are flowing right now! Doris never really got the recognition she deserved yet she perservered in writing such wonderful songs and served Jesus her Saviour without wavering until the end of her earthly life.I am sure she is singing in the Heavenly choir and God has rewarded her faithfulness!
My memory of Doris goes way back. I enjoyed her singing down through the years with the Bill Gaither singers. Rip beautiful lady.
Doris had a clear and magnificent singing voice. But it’s selection moved me to tears. Thank you for sharing this with the world.

I just would like to testify what this song did for me! When Doris started singing the Holy Spirit descended on me in such a powerful way! It reminded me to stay the course and keep my eye on the prize until Jesus calls me home and what a day that will be!
Something happened to me too. I cannot describe it. I know my voice changed and I sing deeper now. Wow! I am lost for words
