    Do you do many sessions out on the road, on your TT bike?

    • @LewisFordham
      @LewisFordham  Před 11 měsíci +1

      No, honestly hard ever unless I’m coming up to a race. I just find it too dangerous and especially when doing efforts and going at speed! I only do it coming up to races to make sure I’m used to bike etc.

    Do you use power meters for the bike pedals? Or does the Garmin edge you use track the power?

    • @LewisFordham
      @LewisFordham  Před rokem +1

      For zwift I use the trainer to track power, and out on the road I’ve got the Favero Assioma Duo Shi power meter to track power and then it displays on the Garmin Edge

    hay u still running in vivo barefoots? the shoes u showed here look like regular joggers

    • @LewisFordham
      @LewisFordham  Před 11 měsíci

      I do still do some runs in vivo’s, I do a lot of my running in Altras now which is are a similar shape shoe with 0 drop etc. just have a bit more cushioning basically which helps reduce fatigue in my legs!

    • @io-rj6sk
      @io-rj6sk Před 11 měsíci

      @@LewisFordham nice, if it wasnt for the fatigue in ur legs which would u prefer? like which feels nicer to run in? pros / cons etc of each? and by fatigue do u mean like doms after the jogs or just the heavy feeling in ur legs during the run itself?
      coz ive been running in my nike free runs for a long time. but i have vivo's but only use them for the gym so ur video on how they helped with aches and pains etc intrigued me and i kind of want to start jogging in minimalist shoes.
      ive been kinda scared tho coz to jump into running barefoot shoe style tho, but since altra have cushioning maybe that could be my gateway into it? are the altras still considered a barefoot shoe? since it has cushioning does it not feel flat like vivos?

      @@LewisFordham hay mb i just realized u alrdy made a video comparison on these two lol.
      uve convinced me to buy the altras now :D excited to try running in them.
      i gotta ask tho for short track and field, like 100m/200m/400m/800m/1500m/3k/5k and even 10k. do u think vivos will b faster for the shorter quick sprint-ish runs say, up to 800m. and the 1500m and up to 10k the altras will probably perform better?

    • @LewisFordham
      @LewisFordham  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Yeah I mean I thinks all dependant on what people prefer and what your body is adapted to, but for me I reckon anything up to about a mile would be fastest in vivo’s and when I trained just in vivo maybe 5k on a track. It’s more just as long as you feel you can go without your calves fatiguing too much, at that point something with some cushion to help keep the pace high without your calves blowing up would be best!

    • @io-rj6sk
      @io-rj6sk Před 11 měsíci

      @@LewisFordham true that, do u think ur gonna stick to 0mm heel drop forever? like ur never gnna experiment with the big name running shoes like alphaflys/vaporflys etc? or try new balance for a daily trainer etc

    Crazy how fast your heart is

    • @LewisFordham
      @LewisFordham  Před rokem +1

      I know, almost worryingly high 😂 my threshold HR is in the 190’s which more than most people’s max! I’ve only ever seen a couple others with a similar HR

    • @athletearrhythmia2540
      @athletearrhythmia2540 Před rokem

      I'm the opposite, my heart is super slow. My max running is 180 so averaging 185 is like 😮 to me, I think my heart would stop. I can't even imagine 211.
      Course max heart rate doesn't really have an affect on performance but still, must feel insane having your heart over 200.

    • @LewisFordham
      @LewisFordham  Před rokem

      @@athletearrhythmia2540 crazy how different HR’s can be! To be honest, 200+ doesn’t feel any different to 180bpm really, or by the time it reaches high 190’s or into the 200’s I’m working way too hard to tell haha!

    • @athletearrhythmia2540
      @athletearrhythmia2540 Před rokem

      Interesting, I hit 160 and my heart feels like a cannon going off haha. Weird though I'd agree, that last 20 bpm or so to max don't feel that different. Probably the adrenaline rush.
