Major realization while watching your video and eating a post-workout meal: I couldn’t do a single pistol squat if my life depended on it and here is someone doing reps on a Bosu. Of course, you’re a retired professional gymnast and I’m just some guy eating a salmon & veg bowl for lunch. Glad to have stumbled across your channel; thanks for sharing your process/progress. (And then I hit minute 12, nope - I can’t do any of that either. It does underscore the importance of not just working on the three disciplines in the absence of mobility, strength, and flexibility work.)

Awesome work on the training week. I also started my journey into triathlon back in January 2021. I should've started a vlog like you so I can look back at my progress. I'm also aiming to do a full Ironman, but currently working on a 70.3 first. Good luck and will continue to keep up with your progress!

Just found your instagram and CZcams channel through Chris sommers podcast w Tim Ferris, love what your doing, I noticed coach said you were incredibly tight and now I see your flexible, I would consider one of the most tight muscle wise people around and in a lot of pain just standing and walking, I stretch every night and still am in quite a bit of pain, could you show how you recommend really tight people can gain flexibility? Or what your experience was getting flexible? Thanks a lot man!
I cannot recommend enough that you get a real bike on a stationary trainer.
Try any wahoo kickr and you’ll be good. The peloton doesn’t translate to real biking.

@@ABowerPower for the first almost 3 months of training for my first half ironman, all I had was a spin bike. Not even a peloton lol. But check out PlayTri - they have great bikes and most of them have payment plans too. It will definitely set you up better for training. And grab a used smart trainer if you can find one - any trainer is better than none - but a smart trainer connected with Zwift. You got this!
