Think Lionel is one of the few CZcamsrs I’ll trust when pushing a sponsor as the real thing.
Agreed!
Yo, the production quality on these videos just keeps getting better and better. Each one feels like a mini-documentary now, and it’s a joy to be able to enjoy these for free. Keep it up!
Intro was pure gold. Love you Lionel.
That intro was hilarious. Well played 😂
I also train indoors only. Outside is for casual rides with buddies. Outside the safety factor, the best reason to train indoors is the consistency. No need to stop at stop signs, lights, perfectly map out your route, worry about hills messing up your intervals, etc.
Yep you need to find a quiet road that’s long enough to do efforts
@@troycollett8540 yep.
@@ebhkkc1 not always easy to do
Same. Even living out in the rural parts around my hometown, too many transport trucks and careless drivers. Not uncommon to see a handful of cyclists killed each year in our paper because of distracted driving. Just not worth it IMO
while I love indoor training for it's efficiency if you are living in a city and are time crunched, I also dread longer workouts on the trainer. 3h zone2 is easy outside but feels like forever indoors, even when watching a movie or something. I also seem to get much less of the mental benefits when riding indoors, while long outdoor rides in good weather are just pure therapy for my mind.
Getting seriously good at being a youtuber! Content is better than ever and Lionel seems to be really relaxed and enjoying it
Love the inspirational music set to Lionel running in his garage. You work with what you got, and that's why you're the best, Talbot.
Epic Race Video | Jan Frodeno vs Patrick Lange | IM 70.3 Kraichgau 2018 A 3:50 into this race video same music was used . Short , but good warm up indoor ride video .
What's the song?

What a great vid!! Good to see you in a good place in general, and it’s inspirational to see inside the bubble and be so open and honest about everything. Cheers dudes 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Training on the trainer allows you to train perfectly. I love it.
Love this Lionel! I have had to train inside so much because I’m also a caregiver for my adult son with disabilities. I’ve questioned myself as to whether I was training the right way or my training was substandard because I was not training outside. I do make an effort to get outside as much as I can. Hey, at least I’m doing the thing!! Great video!
I was hit by a car in July of 2020…and was knocked out for 5 minutes and didn’t work for 7 months…been training indoors ever since. I miss riding outside!! Ironman training again now and looking forward to getting outside again soon!! Cheers!
If you are able from physical ability go outside again. Go first together with buddies to feel safer.
Think how many hours you spent training on the road without a accident.
I DRIVE to farming zones with hardly any cars or traffic and pick off peak times, reduce % of accident to nearly 0 risk! Like old roads around farm land! Can’t trust anywhere else
Make it happen
@@ebhkkc1 We think alike, but I'm not as professional as you, LOL. how are you doing these days?
@@bababaanarama soon very soon! My wife and business partner might say otherwise, lol!! Cheers!
This is awesome! Love the relaxed Lionel.
Man you’re doing such a great job Lionel! Keep it up!
Lionel sees you in Utah, I am hoping to pass you on mile 8 of the run... from my bike I mean... I wish you all the best for the race. Your info during these videos are invaluable. Legend!
I know you don’t read the comments, but I Absolutely love everything you do! You are the inspiration! Thank you.
I have to say, I really really enjoyed this video! The content is great and the videography and story telling are just super! Well done 👍 ❤
You did a great job with this Video. Especially the music was perfect this time👊🏽
One of the best video's you have done in a long time... excellent.
Haha, yes. You're so right, I never thought I'd meet you here. How have you been doing?😊
Lionel, you should enter London Triathlon as they have a weekend warrior event; race as many of the short course events over the weekend as you can manage. It'd be great to see how many you crank out!
Some people never get competitive in sports until their late thirties and forties. I think if you are hungry enough and trying to learn you can do it Lionel. Be smart, work hard, and I'll be here rooting for you.
how can you not love every aspect of this guy
Yeah,I remember those early days (and early CZcams videos) they were great fun to watch, culminating in that wonderful Windsor Road Sign episode. 😃
Awesome video Lionel .. Loving the content 👍 Have pretty much the same treadmill, Proform, and what I love is that it does negative grade as-well 👌
That intro. Spot on 🤌🏼
Hamilton represent🇨🇦 so cool to see how much you’ve grown. I went to McMaster as well and still run the rail trail every week
Love it. “Put the logo to the camera” 🎉
No Limits punching in the 3/4 of iPad PIN - love it !
Use it as fuel to get even stronger Lionel, there's always going to be people hatin' on your success whether it's at competitions or on all the subscribers you continue to inspire on CZcams. PTO mystery man is hinting about all the ITU elite making their way to long-course but that doesn't change the fact that you've done so much for the sport already, your story has been remarkable and the fact that you'll still be doing races well into age just adds to the experience of everyone there competing.
Cheers from Oklahoma City
Cause of you, i train indoor a lot, and improve so much than outdoor, thanks
I mean I dig indoor cardio. Been doing stair master for many years. Watched this whilst sweating on stairs (no hands😜) and I’m very consistent with it. Thirty two years old, fitter than all my friends. Not trying to toot my own horn, just advocating for the injury free consistency that indoor training gives you👊🏼
I agree with your self assessment. You should have your best year in a long time...cuz you believe in what you are doing
Yessir solid work, I’m currently prepping for 70.3 Indian wells 💪🏼
I fucking love this video. Your intros are amazing.
Awesome insights in this video 👌
Nice work on the rollers!
The Good, the Limp and the Shuffle
Sound like a movie in the making
Truly inspiring
Good stuff this youtube videos, everything is fascinating, love the sport.
Man you just gained a new super fan. I train the same way (inside)
It’s over when Lionel SAYS it’s over!
Lionel is inspiring and hilarious.
Hi Lionel,
I find your videos really interesting. I think you at least as good as making videos than doing triathlon. Well done champ 👍👍
Your buddy Collin just got banned from Triathlons. Looking forward to you addressing the issue in a video, and how you think it is going to impact the sport?
Pretty easy to criticize people under the veil of anonymity.
Keep working your ass of Lionel. Your supporters believe in you and your work ethic is unmatched.
Nice setup LS
Love me some Lionel 🤘🏽🦁
Living in London, UK, it’s very difficult to get into a rhythm on the bike due to traffic and what not. Ordering a smart turbo is going to help my performance massively. Indoor training FTW!
God Damn Right Lionel!!
Brilliant Intro
I've noticed the same thing with my Stryd as well. It's about 12% off (low) when on the treadmill. But you're right. It's consistently that way. I'm glad you mentioned it. I thought it was just me.
Haha, yes. You're so right, I never thought I'd meet you here. How have you been doing?😊
Great content again. Cool to see OCD with numbers not only datas. My OCD is to round my sessions to Fibonnacci numbers. What is the brand/model of your rollers? Thank you.
mixing up once a week or two a longbride outside is recommended. especially on technical courses
THAT INTRO WAS 🔥😆
Loved the video, god bless The Feed! I get all my nutrition from them.
I miss the videos where you were hunting some KOMs. They were so amazing. How about doing one again? Cheers from Brazil
LS you’re a legend! Just something I always notice which I’m not sure you’ve probably heard it before and what the hell do I know I’m the one on the sofa watching CZcams so grain of salt and all that but I’m over in NZ and when I was having swim coaching with a girl from their national team I was having same slow swim issue as you and the main thing she taught me was to touch my arm pit before leading hand goes forward into the water (Instead of swinging the arm out wide) which smoothed my stroke and made me faster by a lot! I know ocean swimming when rough will need adjusting but I found that changed my game big time and who knows maybe you haven’t been told that by any coaches. What the hell do I know. Keep smashing it mate.
So cool!
High intensity and focused training indoor and high volume training outdoor for me.
Hell yeah bro!
That bright green Canyon bike is absolutely gorgeous ❤ is that a custom paint job?
First video I'm seeing of you, I'm not sure how this will come across, but in terms of physique, I believe this to be the ideal one to chase after, completely proportionate and I aspire to reach a similar level of fitness.
Good Episode boys!
👏👏👏👏👏👏....😂😂😂.....nice done!!!!!....from spain!!!!!.....i enjoy with CZcams videos!!!!!.....
All this footage in the garage has me lusting over those bikes 🤤 would love to see a video of the bike stable one day
The Lionel Limp 💥
Great video
Haha, yes. You're so right, I never thought I'd meet you here. How have you been doing?😊
Watching from my lab 😍📺
I remember the early days of zwift when Linsey Corbin and the Wurtele's were the only elite/pro athletes riding around. My have times changed since the days of Jarvis Island.
Request for some KOM chasing and Tuscon Shootout videos!
That’s a noice pool brah 🇺🇸👍🏽
Would you ever consider going back to Canada to train in the summer? Hope y'all are doing well?
Sanders team, what treadmill do you use ?? Great job!!!!
Ok, being on the aero bars on the rollers is freaking hard! I just dusted off my rollers and rode for a while and then tried getting on the bars and ate it immediately!
Ur the best
You've raced in training since I have known about you 🤷🏻♂️
Hope you enjoy it
Amazing athletes…
Sponsors sponsor for reason: ROI. If Lionel produces ROI via CZcams instead of race results, I can assure you the sponsors don't care. It's a new era. There are fans that actually enjoy watching the daily grind even more than race coverage. It makes the athlete more relatable. Lionel could be the first of a new generation of "professional trainers" rather than "professional racer". Still a better gig than a cubicle I can assure you.
Can you talk about why you ride the rollers now and not the Kickr anymore? I’d love to try rollers. Thanks
Ojalá usted pueda activar los subtítulos al español.
Aún así, muchas gracias por compartir. Mucho éxito
Great video! Who is Lionel’s coach now?
I actually did not find the sponsor promotions annoying or pandering at all.
I noticed you u talked about heat acclimatization here too which for a triathlete in Singapore, I find it so important. I have been training for a 5k either in the late evenings or early morning but the race itself was a 8AM and on a rlly hot/humid day and I DNF’ed because I suffered from mild heat injuries
Oh, God I hope you recovered, I can understand as a runner from Kolkata where it is 42C nowadays
I live in Singapore too, and I only do very little Z2 training outdoor, all intensity trainings and most of the easy trainings are indoor. I think it’s far less efficient to train in the heat and humidity of Singapore, even in late evenings or early mornings….. And for IM races, I decide to only choose those cool ones lol
Nice video. I’m just curious about the bike rollers Lionel is using for indoor training. Does somebody know the rollers brand? Thanks!
Intro 🔥🔥🔥
Can you share the music played during the CZcams running sessions?
Hi Lionel, are you going to the Ironman world champs in Nice this year?
Need to do another eat in a day or a weeks training video
I think high dew point is different than high heat. Arizona vs Texas/HI. Running at near 100% humidity in the morning in Texas is different than just high temp with low humidity. When you sweat doesn’t evaporate it’s brutal.
Keep it up! Whats the name of the tune?
I only use my treadmill for easy runs. I’ve noticed when I try to do speed work, I get knee pain
I have the same problem with Stryd
As a middle age and mid pack Ultrarunner - I'm treadmill forever.
Comment? Never stop the series! - Greetings and thanks! :-)
Wow I have the exact same iPad+stand combo 😂
I go for rides on beautiful landscapes winter and summer. Also do running and also do swimming in rivers and lakes winter at freezing temperature and summer in warm weather and enjoy it very much. Indoor is a no go for me. I am a mother natures son.
That’s the Maurten Move right there
Haha, yes. You're so right, I never thought I'd meet you here. How have you been doing?😊
Look at the old lionell! Muscles 💪 😅
Pretty much all my bike is indoor, partially due to the weather (UK), but more so because it's convenient and more controlled. Long rides on the bike indoors are really unpleasant though...
For indoor bike training, what tires do you use when u were using a wheel-on trainer? Mine is shredding away so fast but i also dont rlly want to go through the hassle of changing wheels/tires just for indoor training
It doesn't look like he uses an on wheel trainer. Just a set of smart rollers and smart trainer which doesn't use a rear wheel.
Gonna become a real swimmer now 😂
@lionel...any interest in selling the green canyon in the garage? I'm interested!
