- At that time, the best way to put fear into Niger was through strong sanctions. It was an institutional decision taken in the interest of Nigeria and ECOWAS

The point the AES made at their summit on Saturday was that ECOWAS is no longer an independent body, but is taking dictation from the West. In my view, even giving the corrupt Tinubu a second term is not an ECOWAS decision. That came down from France, and it proves the point the AES just made. ECOWAS standby force is also funded by France. Not by ECOWAS member states.
@tothechurchonyoutubewrite7384 and your tiny brain cannot process why AES is saying that right? Is military coup not a mere criminal job? To armed robbers who is the biggest problem to their business? Think with your brain so you can be free from mental foooolishness that prevail in Africa.
Which borders?
What deterrent?
Another 1year? No wonder When nobody feels responsible to step in and clear the mess Tinubu created out of ignorance and inexperience of continental politics
Is this really a professor?
Thank you Rufai, always on point Sir.
Why is it that this people don't like truth
If ECOWAS were not puppets and wanted peace with AES, they should have elected Diomaye Faye as chairman because he just visited the AES while Tinubu tried to invade.
They have heads but lack brains for international diplomacy & politics
Useless shameless ecowas leaders
Is this really a professor? He talks like a common and uneducated person. He just argues and doesn't acknowledge facts. Even when the result of Ecowas decision has led to an apparent disintegration , he still insists it was a good decision. He sounds more as an ideologue than an intellectual.
this guy is the type that would sell out Nigeria to the west
That was the most terrible mistake Ecowas did; even if you take directions from your loan masters, at least you should have respected the constitution of your country,
I thought ecowas was found to help each other when they get problem
@josephkologbay750 ECOWAS help the CITIZENS of a country and not the criminal coup plotter who captured the country. Criminal coup plotter is an enemy to ECOWAS.
Town union or clubs have better shared values indeed.
There,s no country in the World with 200 Million population who still speak the language
of his colonizer only Nigeria,,,
WHAT A SHAME,,,,,,
The guest is not well-informed on the issue of the state of things specifically the fight against terrorism in Burkina Faso. Reading reports might be helpful at times, but a report is only a tiny document displaying the opinion of a very restricted group. It's only one source of information. We are living the reality if the thing. If the president Ibrahim Traoré had not taken power at that precise time he did it, I probably wouldn't be sitting in my own house today: there were terrorists infiltrating the region I live in at the time. IT IS A GROSS LIE TO SAY THAT TERRORISTS ARE REGROUPING IN BURKINA FASO NOW. Who is benefitting from such a claim. Don't be so naive. To make a long case short, let me tell you that by the grace of the Lord we, in Burkina Faso, are surviving. We're still battling against the extremist insurgents. But even them know that the tide has turned. THIS IS THE REALITY. God bless Burkina Faso ! God bless Nigeria! God bless Africa!!!
That Man does no know anything happening outside of Lagos.
He just disgraced NIIA that I've respected since I was a Social Studies enthusiast since I was in Primary School.
Then it’s time the North start agitating secession.
Prof, you speak out of line & your type at NIIA is a shame on Nigeria.
You speak as a local commentator.
You need to learn about Foreign relations before engaging in this kind of discuss.
What has Niger's long border got to do with your diplomatic blunder?
I just listen to a so called Prof who knows nothing about Africa politics
Rufai no get sense. so the leader of ECOWAS should act in the interest of Nigeria alone? i would respect him more if he said that Tinubu should step down because the ECOWAS agenda would be a conflict of interest with his duties to Nigeria. But to pretend Tinubu can sit there and make decisions that Favour only Nigeria alone is a sign of his sheer stupidity and simplemindedness.
You wey get sense can you kindly tell us the true state of things.
@@joshuaakochi524 thank you Good Question
@@joshuaakochi524he has disappeared for 11 hrs since you asked him to explain 😢
You are too local to understand international Politics. You reason out of ignorance.
Listen, in international Politics, national interest is a driving force. If you don't know, know today.
America can never send it's forces or diplomats to any mission that American interest is not Paramount. So applies to the EU, China, India or Russian.
Local champion learn before being vitriolic with your comments.
Lol😂
Rufai was too rude. Yes, he had points but.....
he is a very fooooolish journalist. Besides, Arise TV where he has connections, I don't think any TV station on earth will hire that morooon
Facts hurt you so much. How was he rude? Did he call anybody stupid? He called "a decision" stupid
@@MrSahbunky Don't let emotions control you, I think you need to watch the interview again.
@@halfnigeriaandhalfghana6447 I should be telling you don't let emotions control you. You should watch the interview again actually
@@MrSahbunky So if your father was the Professor that Rufai is shouting on that "time up"..."time up"...etc on TV, you will be celebrating? Maybe that is Igbo style of journalism hence it appeals to the Igbos. But no sensible journalist behaves like that. And also why no reasonable TV station in entire 5 states of Igbo.
This rufai is not even funny at all.
Always knows what to do better than others.

Why is this Rufai so rude? Why is he responding to their guest in this manner? Abatti you’re the matured man in the house, pls always call this “know-it-all” Rufai to order, he’s becoming a great embarrassment to your organization and journalism in general. Shame!
This na old story na, it's been his pattern,
Will you shut up .... a clown shows up as a guest to spill rubbish. Professor my foot
@apostlekofipaul3258 the tribe that watch Arise the most like Rufai the way he is because it is like their character. So he is acting for his fans and viewers from a certain tribe in naija.
Rufai is not a puppet, he is there to challenge the narrative and he is correct. Can’t let guess come on the program and spread propaganda. The guess must be able to defend what he is saying with solid facts. You are not in church. You have to question everything and be prepared to defend your position.
@@megarudeboy0078 Thank you . Educate them more
Stop saying with due respect rufai.
You're such a joker.
You always knows it all
He is saying the truth because u guys don't like truth
@@malacynnadi5057 Good response
You hate the truth so badly. He's not a joke. The guest was the joke there
That basket mouth rufai can never see anything good about Tinubu 🙄 maybe he's looking for political appointment 😂😂 he wan be like Ruben Abati
No he is not . He is straight forward person .
So can you really point out what's good about Tinubu's government? I'm waiting
I don't even know what to say to you
If TINUBU is so good for you, I pity you.
You are a product of tribally sentimental Politics.
