Have been following this channel intensely, best source ffor the 8 Pro by far! Very happy with the many camera improvements compared to an already great 7 pro! Surprised by the portrait mode still not being improved(?), since reviewers often focus on that. But, for me it is not a big deal, I generally don't like artificial blurring anyway. I do expect the Pixel 8 will be great for real portraits (2x/5x zoom) without using portrait mode. I still have the 'budget' Pixel 5 (which is already better than my wife's iPhone 13 Pro) so I expect great improvements when I get the 8 Pro. Even in video I expect the Pixel 8 Pro will be amongst the best with better sound and exposure than most. With the Audio Magic Eraser and later Video boost and Night Sight it will be hard to beat.
@@IBeVibin I am serious, though I admit that there are use cases where the 13 pro is better (mainly because it has macro and a 3x zoom which I miss on the Pixel 5). But there are just so many problems with the iphone: pictures often are oversaturated, look yellow, highlights blown out, faces look distorted on selfie/ultrawide, skin tones are off. Night shots are noisy and look artificial. Video smoothness is better on the iphone, though.

Voice texting is something I honestly use almost 90% of the time on my pixel 6 pro it's absolutely positively amazing. It's one of the most amazing things about this phone. I tell everyone to stop texting with their fingers because it's slow and it takes a lot of time and effort. No one ever listens. It seems like they really enjoy wasting their time. While I'm here writing paragraphs in seconds. (Wrote this with my voice)

But I'm almost certain that other phones like Samsung and iPhone have their own voice to text dictation tool but no one ever uses it. I don't know why even when I suggest they should try it out they don't. They'd rather type on their fingers. I mean they don't even swipe they're literally grabbing The phone with both hands and using both thumbs completely putting all their attention into the keyboard. That's too much for me. I've learned to use my time productively now. I just don't understand people and how long it takes them to click with that aha moment.

The Pixel 7 Pro blew me away with his much better it was at that, so I am ordering the 8 Pro with that as one of the features I'm most excited about, honestly.

Thank you for comparing against the 7 Pro. That is what I'll be upgrading from as well and I'm happy you mentioned the speakers. I did very briefly try out the 8 Pro at rhe local T-Mobile store (I'm in the US) and i didn't find a big difference with the speakers or the haptics. I find both the speakers and haptics on the 7 Pro to be very good already so I wouldn't say no if it was made better. Looking forward to more 7 Pro and 8 Pro comparisons soon.

It's funny how this is a thing now. I remember back in the day, the optical ones were fast and reliable. The ultrasonic ones were garbage and worked only like 70% of the time and you had to be very careful how you placed your finger. Now people are so upset it's not ultrasonic and questioning of the optical is reliable! Amazing how things change in phones.

Video recording at outdoor conditions for 7 pro was worst due to hot weather and heating issues. Also network issues were there for 7 pro, does 8 pro has resolved this issue. Please make a video on performance of 8 pro on outdoor conditions like (what's the temperature, how much longer you can record, network issue?) Etc . . Please make a video 🙏

@yogs3870 The Pixel 8 Pro is now on display (not yet for sale) in my local electronics store. I have to say comparing them both in real life as well as iPhone 15 Pro max I got a bit of cold feet on both and may stick to what I have for now. Matt glass is nice but P7 pro feels nicer overall and has slightly bigger screen. Camera differences are very very very minimal at this point. 50Mpx posibility excited me on paper but basically photos take forever to shoot(like night mode) processing is long so the setting is almost useless unles you're shooting serious landscapes. Autofocus is better on telephoto but still a bit unreliable.
Talking about battery life, I used my s23 ultra in 5g for full web browsing and got a screen on time of 6 h and 8 minutes with 19 percent left. Can you check pixel replicate that?

Hello, I really appreciate your videos. I would like to have your opinion regarding changing the battery. Do you think that any repairer will be able to change the battery, or you should ask to have the future battery change done by Google, if there are distribution centers of course...
They really dropped the ball on two key points that are essential. An ultrasonic scanner and the storage speed being ufs 3.1 instead of 4.0. If they could just fix these two elements id be all in. Hopefully, the next pixel.

@@dansourile5444 if you look at early reviews you'll notice that the pixel 8pro throttles on average tasks to keep the phone cool, which leads to lower performance and battery drain. That wouldn't need to happen if the overall hardware was capable to handle those tasks. Non-geeky users usually don't know what's, happening and just claim it is as bad battery life or not smooth or thermals, geeky folks know exactly what's happening happening, it's comprising on hardware. Google owns the Android operating system. There should not be a Google phone that is much slower than a samsung phone that has a heavy skin running Google Android, especially at a similar price point. Google tested with the nexus, that's great.. but now it still wants to price pixels as a premium device with nexus mid range hardware.

Since camera module has been upgraded, definitely the photo which you click will be a larger file which occupies more memory. Have Google worked on reducing the file size? 3. Since you bought your phone from Flipkart. Right now, 128 GB is available in Flipkart. Do you have any information on other variants with 256 GB and 512 GB with Porcelain color in India?
If you don't want to use the cloud storage then you should just be back in your phone up once every 6 months and deleting older videos and pictures that are already backed up on a larger device at home Because if you're not using cloud you should definitely be backing up save the money. 🎉
The issue regarding the sim that you faced on your pixel. I am facing the same issue on my Pixel 8. It does not accept my Sim even after I got a new one from the operator. How did you get it solved?
I was so close to switch from Samsung's One UI to Pixel 8, but the 8 is too small and the 8P is too big for me :( Right now are not really phones on the market which are between those. The old pixel 7, which had the display size on 6.4 inch had too big bezels and chin, looked almost like my old S20FE but came out two years later ... Maybe next year.
Quick question......how do you resize an image taken on the phone to properly fit on home screen ? I tried, and the original image is too large, so cuts off about 25%....strange, but probably easy answer. I see camera settings option as full 4:3 which I was using, but does it need to be set on wide crop 16:9 instead ? Thanks !

Yes Pixel 6 is even more fluid than Pixel 7. I have both. Pixel 7 has better signal, which is more important for me.

Drain tests & my testing conditions aren't the same. I use 2 SIMs. wireless android auto & also have my work profile in the same phone. So yes.

Which charger do you recommend to use ? The pixel charger of 30 watt are available on Amazon but I am not sure if they are genuine. Can you please link the charger or let us know which one to use.
Anker or Ugreen chargers work best for Pixel imo.

@yogs3870 The Pixel 8 Pro is now on display (not yet for sale) in my local electronics store. I have to say comparing them both in real life as well as iPhone 15 Pro max I got a bit of cold feet on both and may stick to what I have for now. Matt glass is nice but P7 pro feels nicer overall and has slightly bigger screen. Camera differences are very very very minimal at this point. 50Mpx posibility excited me on paper but basically photos take forever to shoot(like night mode) processing is long so the setting is almost useless unles you're shooting serious landscapes. Autofocus is better on telephoto but still a bit unreliable.
Talking about battery life, I used my s23 ultra in 5g for full web browsing and got a screen on time of 6 h and 8 minutes with 19 percent left. Can you check pixel replicate that?

They really dropped the ball on two key points that are essential. An ultrasonic scanner and the storage speed being ufs 3.1 instead of 4.0. If they could just fix these two elements id be all in. Hopefully, the next pixel.

@@dansourile5444 if you look at early reviews you'll notice that the pixel 8pro throttles on average tasks to keep the phone cool, which leads to lower performance and battery drain. That wouldn't need to happen if the overall hardware was capable to handle those tasks. Non-geeky users usually don't know what's, happening and just claim it is as bad battery life or not smooth or thermals, geeky folks know exactly what's happening happening, it's comprising on hardware. Google owns the Android operating system. There should not be a Google phone that is much slower than a samsung phone that has a heavy skin running Google Android, especially at a similar price point. Google tested with the nexus, that's great.. but now it still wants to price pixels as a premium device with nexus mid range hardware.

The issue regarding the sim that you faced on your pixel. I am facing the same issue on my Pixel 8. It does not accept my Sim even after I got a new one from the operator.
How did you get it solved?
I got a new SIM card. Mine was from 2015. The new SIM worked fine.

I think the phone is great but not the price, pixel are known for the bang for the buck
I was so close to switch from Samsung's One UI to Pixel 8, but the 8 is too small and the 8P is too big for me :( Right now are not really phones on the market which are between those. The old pixel 7, which had the display size on 6.4 inch had too big bezels and chin, looked almost like my old S20FE but came out two years later ... Maybe next year.
Pixel 8 might be the pick for you in that case
Quick question......how do you resize an image taken on the phone to properly fit on home screen ? I tried, and the original image is too large, so cuts off about 25%....strange, but probably easy answer. I see camera settings option as full 4:3 which I was using, but does it need to be set on wide crop 16:9 instead ? Thanks !
16:9 will crop into the sensor. Hence I prefer 4:3 and then make changes I want. Also by cropping into the sensor it reduces the field of view as well

No sensor I know of is 16:9.
Best you can do is keep some space on the side of photos to crop later
