Atlas O C&O SD-40

This is a custom paint job using Tru-color paints (B&O blue, B&O yellow) on an Atlas O SD-40. The engine was stripped down to the frame, 18oz of weight added, motors wired in sequence, led lights installed on 9V battery power, lettered with Microscale decals, and reassembled prior to weathering.

This layout is perfect in every aspect. The scenes capture the feel of the area represented perfectly and the weathering is perfectly balanced between being subtle enough to blend in, yet still be noticeable. The track work is butter smooth and the trains glide through the curves just like in real life. So well done! I hope to do half as good a job on my own layout
