    This just made my day Dean. My favourite CZcamsr, wild camping and a new star of the show. Kinder is awesome. So much better behaved than our Reggie. A lovely chilled camp. Looking forward to seeing more camps with your best mate.

      Thanks for watching Paul. Was good to be out camping but I had lost my mojo for making this sort of content. Been camping a fair bit without the camera over the last few years but it was definitely good to be back at it again 😁 Gutted I missed the RAB event last week, got the invite but was working sadly. I work just around the corner from their headquarters too. All the best 👍

    Trying again as I think my first comment may have disappeared... Loved this and have immediately subscribed in the hope of seeing more Kinder camping videos. He's a gorgeous boy! I recently took my new-ish dog Briar for her first camping trip (not wild, it's trickier in the southeast unfortunately) and made a little video to document our own momentous occasion so you can see some of the stuff we used. I camped a lot with my previous dog before that and have a couple of tips. (Oh and by coincidence I suspect the very same Chrissie is working on a new Woofbag for Briar as we speak!)
    One is to get a really decent tether - I have 'Delta' anchor which is held in place with rock pegs (sorry I linked to a seller last time but that may be why the comment was deleted?) - it is heavy unfortunately but fits in my backpack and is very trustworthy if the pegs are all the way in. Very much worth it if there's nothing around to tie them to like a handy tree. I put mine right next to the tent as Briar refused to come with me one very cold morning when I was nipping to the loo (she's no fool), so I left her inside the tent but tethered.
    The other is to get a cheap 3mm yoga mat and chop it to size - I'm still using a very old one from my last dog which came from the pound shop but they're available online too - stops the cold coming up from the ground. Briar actually has an inflatable K9 Sport Sleeper too but that's because she's got three legs which means she's got a stump she needs to keep comfy which I'm soft about - my last dog never had such luxuries!
    I also bring long lasting chews to occupy her if I need to distract her/need her to entertain herself for a bit.
    Looking forward to more of the lovely Kinder.

    • @DeanRead
      @DeanRead  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for watching Laura and thanks for the great advice. I'll definitely invest in a decent tether, it will come in very handy when we are camping with the van too. I do have a few old yoga matts so will get one cut down to size for him, he'll probably chew it to pieces at the moment so happy to sacrifice something old. Thanks again for the advice, all the best. Dean

    Me and my missus either standard or wild camp with our husky, Czech wolfdog and pondenco. We fit a two be prefer a 3 birth. Only dog tips are extra micro fleece towels. cheap {Decathlon £2} and light and compactable and dry easy. Plenty of treats and healthy food trays. mine eat our meat normally but camping we always take a few trays. in hot weather only take doge camping when you know running water is close. Not to hard in the peaks.
