  • So today I'm going to show you just how easy it is to Tax a VEHICLE here in Thailand.
    Do you own a Scooter, Car, Motorbike?
    Is your Road Tax Due?
    If your answer is yes then this video will show you how to do it even if your vehicle is older than 5 years.
    Vehicles that are 5 years or older will need a safety test / Vehicle Inspection a little like the British M.O.T, I will show you where to take them and what to expect, Paperwork and of course, all the costs involved.
    I shall also cover The Land Transport Office, This is where you apply for the road TAX.
    Phuket Land Transport Office: goo.gl/maps/C1...
    Vehicle Inspection Station: goo.gl/maps/ZZ...
    If you are an Ex-pat or considering living in Thailand then at some point you will need to renew your vehicle Road Tax.
    This video will help you.

    Tried the DLT road tax website, it won't accept the ID Number from my Thai drivers license. Also tried to download the app, error message says, "unavailable in your Country", Thai phone Thai server....Why am I NOT surprised đŸ€Ł

    Can you pay the tax if you don’t have the green book ? I’ve lost it during moving 😬😬

    • @thailandtony
      @thailandtony  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      It's going to be very difficult to tax it without the green book you will need to take your last tax to the police station and report the green book lost they will issue you with a paper that you will need to take to the land transport office to get a new green book then you will be able to tax the vehicle. You need a green book to be able to tax a vehicle.

    Hi Tony useful info I finally got to go to phuket for a month in Jan, does the insurance cover the person or the bike? My thai girlfriend did all the riding on her bike because I was concerned I was not covered to ride it!

    • @thailandtony
      @thailandtony  Pƙed 2 lety

      The Insurance is for the bike, not the individual person.... So as long as the bike has insurance and you have the right license scooters needs a full Motorbike license you can ride it 👍
