I buy the Mira Azul Coconut water from Dollar tree, I love it, it has young coconut meat bits in it, not from concentrate, for $1. a can. I have been drinking it for about 3-4 months now and I can tell a big difference in my health. I drink about 2-3cans a day. I love it.

Azul isn’t good tho it’s not 100% natural coconut water and it has soooo much added sugar in it.

I tried just about every coconut water i could find at stores of USA. I love taste but i never liked stomach pain that came with drinking even a bit of it, however I just discovered coconut water that you showed here. I had zero pain from real coconut water. Whatever they put in those bottles does not agree with me. I wonder if other people had same experience. Thank you for video!

$3.50 in my town in Australia (down south) for a green coconut. They are a luxury for me, but ahhh so good. God made a perfect food and perfect drink in the coconut.

Here in the uk coconut water has just recently invaded the shelves,I drink vita and zeco,they do a mango one to but I mostly stick with original! :)

I am really enjoying my coconuts--In Los Angeles--the Chinese market--Ranch sell coconuts for $10.99 a case of 9 coconuts--I have never seen $7.99. It is $2.99 each at Ralphs and other big Supermarkets. The knife method of opening the coconut works great--I am investigating the coco jack pack method to improve the speed and efficiency of opening the coconut since I am using 3 a day. I will update you later regarding the coco jack...Also, I recommend putting the coconuts in the refrigerator it makes the water so refreshing.

You can buy that brand of coconut water at Costco in WA for a case of 9 large bottles like that for 2 dollars a piece, 18 bucks. Which I just bought. But else where of course prices change, compareing stores prices with one another.

Why not dip in Colloidal Silver, citrus water, coconut oil or a natural microbial?
My local Co-Op said they do not order them because of the formaldehyde, so I will refer them to you so maybe I don't have to drive 82 miles each way for coconuts instead I can go 23. In addition, they tried along with local stores to get that exact brand in and have had no response back as if only Asian markets can buy them, any sugestions?
What sucks for me is living in North Carolina. I have yet to find a decently priced coconut and every time I get one it is bad (pink or purple water). So when I want coconut water I just get Zico, I know its not as potent as the real thing but its better than buying a bad coconut that is nasty for the same price but more work.

I just easily opened my very first Thai coconut using your knife method - easy cheesy! BUT the water and meat look OK, but smell "off" to me. The water does have a small amount of debris, and the meat is white - though firmer than "jelly". Basically, I can't stand the smell. It's sort of chemically, but mostly smells like its going bad. That said, the outer husk looks good, and passed the exterior fresh test from this and your other videos.
Is this smell normal? Or

What brand should I ask for? I'v been getting 3 - 4 bad ones in a case lately maybe because of the season?

Lake Tahoe about $2.50 each, in a case I get 10 percent off of that. I wish they were that cheap here, I would actually get them more often. Still a better deal than bottled cause its raw and not processed. Go Team!!!
Hey there, I was wondering when I drink coconut water like two cups, my joints actually start hurting, and I become lethargic, could that be due to the potassium content?
I can't find these anywhere :(. We only have small old broken coconuts in our stores (I'm from a small town) and they only yield roughly one small cup to about 1/2 cup of coconut water. I want to do a coconut water fast for at least 10-15 days but looks like my only choice is Zico water :(. I hope there are enough nutrients left for me to benefit still..
Batoning the knife like that could damage the knife or result in injury. So can using the tip of the knife as a pry tool.

When I purchased these from an Asian market and opened them the meat and the water were pinkish. I didn't eat them as I thought there were laced with chemicals! Haven't had them since as they are $4:00 each in Denver!
They had tried to figure out ways to pkg coconut water for the mass market for decades in India but once the coconut is opened, it starts oxidizing, loosing key nutrients + pkg time defeated the purpose. I have always stuck with fresh since the pkg’d coconut water came out because of that, glad I have due to the other nutrient killing processing you pointed out. Esp. since it is 1/2 the price and fresh and I can make chips with the meat (Lime/Chili, Cocoa, Lemon/Garlic, etc.) that are so good!

You can’t
TAKE ALONG COCONUTS: Since it’s weird to bring a big huge knife to work; Cut the tip off so you have a flat surface. Flip it over cut off about 1” off the bottom; knife will dictate, wrap back up. Later unwrap, stick monkey eye with a paperclip & insert straw. This works great for road trips too. Save & cut on miter saw @ home, scoop out meat, use as desire; chips, smoothie, faux eggs salad, etc. You opened yours with very little water loss, I’ll have to try again. Thanx for the info.

BTW I picked up a case of nine coconuts at Ranch Asian Market for $10.99 and all but one were super fresh and delicious--the first one I chose had brownish water and was not as tasty as the others. For the price, I was very satisfied since most of the supermarkets charge about $3 a piece for coconuts. Find the cases to get a much better price...

Usually the coconut water will state whether it comes from mature coconut or young coconut. Young coconut taste sweeter and have a more refreshing taste.

Cost is a moot point. Once exposed to oxygen, all juice loses 90% of it's nutritional value after 5 minutes of exposure.

I recommend checking out Harmless Harvest 100% Raw Coconut Water...just had it from Whole Foods...fantastic. Its the closest thing to getting it from a coconut.
LPT: Open the thai coconuts from the other end (flat side) and simply pop off one of the eyes with very little effort. You can then stick a staw in to get that coconut water goodness.

They "real" coconut water was actually clearer than the Zico water. Personal I purchase the whole coconuts, they just taste sooo yummy. ty for the tip on opening the coconut, I've made more than a few people cringe using a paring knife and hammer.. yikes!!
I drink the zico and will stick with it. Im not keen on opening the coconuts and as for the chemical dip, sure my other fruits may be dipped in that stuff as well but I also rinse my fruits and peel them so I don;t really have to deal with the chemicals!!!
I also peel my bananas!!

is there a lot of sugar in coconut water? I went to coconutboard.nic.in/tendnutr.htm and it does say there is sugar, but I can't tell if it's a lot. Maybe someone could make a comparison of how much sugar is in the fresh coconut water - like more or less than an apple or soda pop? I am also now coocoo for coconuts, but I think I have a lot of sugar in my joints. I would love to have coconut every day, but need to know I'm not taking in too much sugar.
