UG is extremely honest to admit that he couldn't throw away that wanting to not want due to fear. I am in that same spot and there is nothing I can do on my own except what society expects or provides me to do. Every thing we do is something that someone wants us to do. Like watching TV is something that the entertainers, advertisers want us to do, likewise we can literally map every action to someone's ask. Is there anything else we can do that no one wants us to do? We are either nature's or society's doll and wanting to be on our own is a big lie.

It’s cause you fear standing in your own feet, you ate conditioned, it’s obvious. Thats already it, if you ate happy about it, you should be done with it, and just continue whatever you are doing, because you are killing in it. So end of stock, nothing else to see, I don’t understand why you still bother. Just do what people want you to do. Its it. You happy. If your country asks you to kill, kill. For example. If you wife wants 3 expensive cars, lie, cheat and steal and you can get it.. if you don’t have the simpler way of doing it. That’s what is implied in what you say
@@sudarshanseshadri2144 There're 3 kinds of people in existence! 1) Kids are 100% pure and innocent, and they still haven't been touched by societal influences, they are completely "controlled" by instincts, therefore they are puppets too under nature's spell. 2) As kids grow up, they usually lose those instincts to societal influences and manipulations, and they are now spellbound by society, all their wants, needs and ambitions are dictated by society, 99.9% of people are under societal grips until death. 3) Only minute few become aware that all their wants are not theirs, they realize that they were made to want, the seeds of ambitions were planted in them, once they realise that they quit the game altogether, as long as the stomach is full they're sorted, they realise that there's nothing to want, and they become like young children again, and they are born again.

@@joelp661 yes, we have illusions of some goal or the other to reach. wanting to be something/somebody always and we cannot brush aside that wanting as brushing aside is also a goal. we have to accept this fact that we cannot live without goals/illusions
There is absolutely a way to freedom, Moksha or Enlightenment or however you want to describe it. The largest obstacle for me was to listen and trying to grasp what some of the things UG was saying. Failing and translating it in my way at the time, putting the potential for realization on hold for over 15 years. Only when I let go, did it slide into place. Still, one of the greatest teachers. We all want what others want us to do. That is basic situation of everyone. By not wanting to want that then there is no way we can be part of the society because in society one has to give back by means of fulfilling the society's wants. Nothing is free and in order to rely on something very basic like a shelter on top of our head or a piece of land to live in, it has to come from the society in exchange for what it expects (money in most cases). So wanting to want something other than what the society wants without giving up our place in the society is an impossible task. UG is honest enough to accept that he couldn't throw away wanting to not want and that thing happened in random. Once that wanting is flushed out we are once again reborn and handed over to nature's hands to play with. So it's always a battle between nature and society as to who should play us individuals (or a lump of atoms)
