  • U.G. Krishnamurti - Why Follow Spiritual LIFE
NO GURU ! NO Enlightenment ! NO Freedom By UG Krishnamurti.
Uppaluri Gopala Krishnamurti, famous around the world as simply U. G Krishnamurti, gave the world a unique perspective about enlightenment. According to Krishnamurti, there is no such thing as philosophical enlightenment.
There are no philosophical questions to be asked and no intellectual answers to be given to those questions. This enlightenment-negating thinker was born in India, on July 9, 1918. For him, the concept of seeking the ultimate truth is absurd, as he thinks there is nothing to seek. Nature will provide individuals with the solutions of all their problems; one just needs to embrace it in its entirety.
Many people also tried to regard him amongst the ‘enlightened ones’, but he insisted that he simply exists in what he called the ‘natural state’. For him, the puzzling notions and ideas that people involve themselves into in the name of enlightenment are the only hindrance between them and being enlightened-if there is such a thing.
For Krishnamurti, the need to constantly change, to evolve, is not just impossible, but also a futile exercise. He emphasized on the body and the soul being perfect the way they are. To try to alter bodily actions is considered by him as a breach in the purity, peace and harmony of the body. His concept of the mind and the psyche is only one of a kind. He believed that the psyche, or the mind, does not exist as a being, but rather it is a demand of the self to bring about a change in this world, or in itself. Self-consciousness for Krishnamurthi is a fascist force, one which only emphasizes on its own importance.
According to Krishnamurti, the business of gurus and spiritual healers is booming because of people who are in search of answers to their pseudo questions of enlightenment and salvation.
The quest for these answers is instilled into them through an artificially created cultural environment. The culture demands from people to conform while at the same time it asks them to be unique and special in their own way, infusing in people a constant need for so-called enlightenment which would bring out their exclusive character.
The gurus take advantage of this situation and promise of a way towards salvation, a journey by the end of which the puzzled individual will find answers to all his spiritual questions, leading him to the ultimate truth. For him, the goal of enlightenment is unapproachable, and self realization is futile, because there are no goals and there is nothing to discover in the self.
Whatever is happening in the world is just happening; there are no divine interventions and spiritual, mysterious connections behind the happenings of the world. He liked to call himself ‘unrational’, as he totally negated the idea of employing rationality to answer questions of enlightenment.
He believed that humans are too busy trying to find the meaning behind things when there is none to be found. With his talks and words, he tried to wipe off from the minds of his followers previous concepts and cherished truths of history and society. He asked them to start anew, forgetting what has been taught to them all their lives. He denied the existence of spirituality in India, or of communism in Russia, or liberty in America. Instead, he asked his fellows to relate nothing to nowhere.
U.G. Krishnamurti died on March 22, 2007. All his life he worked towards completely erasing of the idea of questioning ones’ self, so that nothing stays behind but a smoothly operational biological mechanism, working with all its natural harmony and balance.

We are all, without exception, landlocked to a historical narrative and trajectory where all we are and all we know is contextually contained within. That narrative was established long ago by the will and whim of kings, land barons, merchants, and gurus/priests. We are basically redundancies pretending to be otherwise. To challenge the narratives is easy. To offer something both original and scalable is not in the cards. The prevailing narrative today is on how to counter our self-destructive tendencies or otherwise, on how to amplify our pet cause and win. I could say more but to what purpose. No one seems to be listening to one another anymore.

@@BPSchauhan The solutions to our self-isolating fears and addictions, along with our self-indulgent philosophies and practices are contained within the realm of business and not within the vagaries of spirituality. The main problem with what I just said is that everyone reading this thread attaches the word business with all the 9 to 5, buy and sell, profit and lose, success and failure nonsense that permeates our lives and that we each, by hook or by crook are seeking to escape from or indulge excessively in. The products and services emanating from that model have and continue to strangulate much of humanity, with the financially or metaphysically privileged pulling the noose in every instance. No originality imagination or co-creativity is required here.. unless it serves some corporate, government, or high-worth individual's bottom line. UG saw through the illusion, but like everyone else operating within it, has no known reference points to see and act beyond. I won't overwhelm you with this comment, but I hope I have stimulated curiosity to question and explore beyond.

Of course he did.. and that is the reason he is saving the time of the eternal seeker.. "loose hope and gain life" ... stop searching, there is nothing but destruction in this path..
be a human being, be a part of nature, be one with trees, with jungle, with the ocean, the firmament, the people...be part of life, be happy, play the game of life, enjoy it, because you are the player and the designer of the game..
Meditation can give you a disorder named "anhedonia".. being incapable of feeling pleasure in activities pleasurables to you.
I dont want to find myself anymore.. I'm in the way of getting lost in the world.. enjoy time with friends, celebrating life, doing pleasurables things for me.. working, making a better life for others and for myself..
      No more searching for me..
Thanks UGK.. 🙏🏻 Pranam Gurudev.. Pranam.

You see i'm also a seeker, even practising yoga, but truly there is nothing to seek. Okay, forget everything else, just reflect on UG Krishnamurty and conduct your daily life.
The highest thing (even though UG doesnt consider that), live a moral life not because there is a divine power or God.
When I bring UGs face in front of my eyes, his honest, earnest and sincere efforts/teachings seem far greater than any shankaracharya or saint. Even without trying to do so, he is so compassionate. Bring UG in your life(I do, you don't have to its a choice) and you will not need to feel sorrow or hollow.
We are so lucky to have known about UG. Respect the known rather than begging for a God who will not even come to you in your darkest hours(if there is one). When I'm at my lowest most, and torn out I listen to UG and feel peace. If there really could have been a God then it would have only been UG.

What does that have to do with anything? 99.99% of those who spent time with "the saints of their time" died without becoming enlightened.
The biggest fallacy of seekers is thinking they need a guru, Saint or scripture in order to become enlightened.
In reality, true enlightenment has NOTHING to do with gurus, saints or gurus. Enlightenment happens when all gurus, all saints, all scriptures are rendered useless and the reality of our individual lives is accepted and surrendered to.
