  • If someone were to ask me, "What accessories should I buy for my Ebike?", I will definitely add a trunk bag like this (or similar) to the top 5 items to highly consider.
    This RockBros Trunk Bag has seriously made riding much more enjoyable. I can carry all the stuff I want/need without worry and it's so easy to take off and install securely back on in less than a minute.
    If you think this bag might be as useful to you as it is for me, you can find it here on Amazon: amzn.to/2UUVY1U
    RockBros also make a less expensive version that looks to be a softer material and I am not 100% sure it comes with a rain cover like the other one. amzn.to/3zbfxBY

    Yep I bought this a while ago. It is great! The thing that sold me was was when I saw that it opened into panniers. That did it. I also took advantage of your Amazon Price Check video, using Camel….. and picked it up at $84. Still quite an investment, but if you want to, or have to carry, a fair amount of things, I think this is a great bag. Topeak has some great bags too, but for the money on sale this got my vote.

    From an aesthetic standpoint, the bag looks much better turned in a 180 degree orientation, IMHO. I see it mounted like yours by most folks, but it has a much better “fastback” design flow mounted in the opposite direction as I’ve done with mine. It makes little difference from a practical standpoint but it does mess with my design sensibilities in the mounting direction as shown. I concur, they are fantastic bags!

    @BlueSageness Před 3 lety +1

    Thanks. You really provided a thorough review. I've been considering this bag. And seeing the pop-up bit is a plus. Also I like the red light on the back end of the Blaze. Do you prefer the Vont 'Breeze' red light or the red light on your Blaze?

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  Před 3 lety +2

      The light I had in the video is from the Vont pyro set. The red light is the same that they bundle with the breeze. I don’t have a preference since they’re the same. I don’t recall getting any red lights with my Blaze lights. I think that was a bundle they made after I got mine.
      I love that they are rechargeable.
      That pop up on the bag is so helpful. One thing I forgot to mention is that it’s easy to clean if it got a little dirty.

    @MrKenRury Před 3 lety +3

    Great review, but please test anything claiming to be water resistant. Those that have tested this bag by putting it in a shower find it gets soaked inside from all the zippers. Even the rain cover doesn't keep the moisture out.
    Still a good review. I got ROSWheel canvas panniers that can hold a lot more for less cost and I can still add a top bag. They may be too big for the Lectric, but fit great on my Aventon Aventure.

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  Před 3 lety +1

      Good point! It guess its more 'splash resistant' and it could be effective against a quick drizzle. Thanks for the heads up about the rain cover. Bummer, I wish I knew that before I made that claim in the video, I would've warned people and at least mentioned that they might want to scotch guard the cover.
      I really appreciate that you took the time to give feedback! If I buy another brand to make a comparison video (which I am debating on doing) I will be sure to inform the viewers about it.

      @@EbikeProducts I am thinking about doing videos, but it is so much more time-consuming than writing articles and doing analysis. Our personalities are a lot of like. I hate to say I find the analysis almost as much fun as riding. Check out my 40 miles 12-hour ride around North Lake Washington. I had 12% battery left. I also created a Tips list from the ride for beginners. I need to create a website as Facebook doesn't like words like spoke nipples or feet and even though I'm not selling anything it keeps flagging my reviews as spam. Would love to chat with you sometime.

      @@EbikeProducts I had spent months researching and finally settled on the Lectric ST. RAD Power basically offered the same components for a lot more and they are in my backyard. While waiting 6 weeks for my Lectric the Aventon Aventure came out and it justified spending the extra $1,000. My upgrade to-do list for the Lectric had grown that much. I canceled the Lectric and had an Aventon Aventure in a week. For the way you ride the Level would be a perfect bike and now you can get the color display for it and Throttle on Demand.

    One thing that you will need to be careful of with a bag with paniers, is that the back of my feet on the pedals hit the paniers as i pedal. I have an electric 24" Bakou hunting bike, and i have to overhang the bag about 5" on the back of the rack so it doesn't interfere with my pedaling.

    • @MrKenRury

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  Před 2 lety

      A 13” laptop might fit, but my concern is that it would have to little protection for it that I wouldn’t recommend it. If you added padding it might then make it too big to fit. I’m kind of fanatical about my electronics and would recommend a backpack specifically for laptops. I know it’s not ideal for keeping weight off of you, but an ebike can be very rough for something as sensitive as a laptop.

    @2:55 actually the Rockbros is a knockoff of the original Topeak MTX Trunkbag. The Topeak has the advantage that it works with Topeak MTX racks which means that you just slide the bag on to the rack until you hear a click and the bag is locked in which makes it much easier to take off the bike when you stop somewhere to eat, shop etc.

    • @EbikeProducts

The adapters are impossible to get, the Topeak worked, the Ibera needed longer extensions which I couldn't find. The system is more expensive and is like being locked into Apple. There are so many combinations of racks and bags that don't work together it requires a degree. I tried to simplify that for those buying on the Aventon Aventure, but the same would need done for each bike. facebook.com/groups/303443448019844/permalink/318276009869921/
