Had my Rockbros bag for two years now. Wonderful bit of kit.
I have one and I use the hell out of it. It really holds a lot of gear. The only upgrade I am going to do on it is to fabricate a plastic mounting and quick release system for it before the Velcro wears out. I take the bag off the bike a lot.
Can you do a video showing how you attach it to the bike not just saying there’s Velcro?
I would have loved to see how you installed the bag.

An excellent review of a great bag. Mine came with a fluorescent high visibility yellow waterproof cover for the bag. 5:23
would have been nice to see what u could fit into the saddle bags
You'd think for the price of these bags, they'd use better material for mounting than velcro. If I'm going to spend $80+ on a bag, I want a hard mounted detachable/locking system like the German _Ortlieb_ bag
Top Peak makes some of those, but then you also have to modify your rack with the track system.

That is a good looking and functional bag. I especially like the expansion bags on the sides. Very nice. question..Do you have a problem catching your foot on it getting on and off the bike?
Being such a large bike to begin with, some folks depending on their height and flexibility might have a have a proplem mounting with a bag on back if they are swinging their leg over. The step through model would be easier.

I have one of these bags and I'm happy with it, but what I can't figure out is on the side drop down paniers there is a cord at the bottom, what is this for?

The fenders came with the bike.
Have you used it with the side bags down and rode on water puddles? Does water from the wheels or spokes get on the backside of the bag ? I see you have fenders on the tires to prevent most of the water from going upward but wasn’t sure if you still get water on the bag. Thanks
I don't carry enough stuff to use the side bags so I never tested it.

The straps are absolutely useless, mine has come off twice. Velcro is simply not good enough for the price of this product.
I've had one on since March, and the velcro has always been alright. However, I did add a few cable ties for a bit of extra security.
@@6JackOfClubs9 yeah, I just expected something more substantial for the cost, the vecro straps are way to long for a regular rack as well...AND... all the zippers have now dropped off. I definitely won't be buying anything else from rockbros.
Topeak mtx bag is better ,saves you some cash.
Hahahaha.....The Topeak MTX isn't even waterproof like this particular Rockbros bag is.
And you have to spend some extra money on a waterproof cover for topeak bag.
@@E-Ryders Firstly, thank you for putting a video review of this together. I was intrigued to see how many design cues Rockbros took from the Topeak bag and how they might have even bettered it; which leads to my next point.
Secondly, Topeak would do well to adopt the waterproof zippers seen here, if only to benefit the top compartment. That said, neither bag is fully waterproof with the panniers extended. The best that can be said is that they are ' weather-_resistant_ ', which is exactly what Topeak claims.
Finally, I'm surprised at the cost of the Rockbros bag. Typically they're able to reproduce designs at a fraction of the cost for similar quality. I have a pair of Rockbros photochromic riding glasses that cost less than a tenth of the Oakley EVZero they're based on. Their bikepacking bags are about 2/3's cheaper, too; I can't fathom why this bag is so expensive that it costs more than the original.
@@user-uv4mc3vc9v Neither bag is fully waterproof with the panniers extended. You would still need a waterproof cover for the Rockbros bag.
