no instructions with mine except bad photos on box. tape was good idea. did the same

So, did the distributor of the inferior product reimburse you for having to use your own hardware(tape) to make it work?

No, they didn’t but you know what I ended up taking it off because I kept on hitting it against my leg when I would swing my leg over the bike
