    Added it to my Addmotor fat tire Ebike after 2 flat tires in 6 months. Haven't had another in a year. This stuff is same principle as slime, but seems to really work well. I've tried slime and still got flat tires. It's more expensive then Slime but my personal experience is this stuff works.

    Another advantage of FlatOut is that when your inner tube needs replacement for whatever reason, you can pour out it out of the inner tube to re-use in another tire. It does not go bad.

    That the stuff is the bomb. I having been reviewing and touting this product for months and months. I have received so many questions about this product on Amazon, can’t even count. This stuff is the real deal and can stop a puncture up to a 1/2 in. The green goo and the tire inserts don’t perform as well as Flatout! For less than 20 bucks you can do four bike tires. The other products that are on the market just don’t hold a candle to this. I’ve used it I’ve tested it and I have not had a flat yet in over a year of riding my E bike over all kinds of terrain. Good job Chris. I think every bicyclist, motorcyclist, people who have small tractors or even RV trailers, should put this product in their tires. Can’t say enough about it! I have been other videos on it but I’m glad you did yours! You’re an honest guy and a lot of people respect your opinion. I know I do! Thanks again.

    Thanks for the video. Have you seen Tannus Tire Armor? EDIT: I was going that route after we had a flat on a Harley. 4 bottles of slime didn't work. Then, we got it to hold air with FlatOut aerosol cans. His bike slung goo for 50 miles going home...! These knobby stock tires are thin and easily punctured. There is a flat protector tire liner like thick tape that looks promising. Uses stock inner tubes and then add flatout to that combination for optimum flat protection vs the weight of the Tannus liners...

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I have a bunch of Tannus liners that I never installed after I put it in 2 bikes (this was before I started using flat-out).
      I love the soft ride it gave me, but the liners are such a pain to install and they begin to flatten over time and lose their effectiveness to prevent flats. I’ve only had 2 flats since using flat-out due to the sidewalls getting gashes too big for flat out to stop and reach. Tannus would not have done any better. Since flatout has been super effective and the easiest to install, it’s all I ever use now.

    • @johnw65
      @johnw65 Před 3 měsíci

      Thanks @@EbikeProducts, I decided the Tannus liners are too bulky and heavy for my folding bikes that I have to pick up and load in a Scion hatchback car... Note the edit to my original comment. And, thanks again for your great video!

    If while squeezing flat out into the inner tube, and flow stops, you have an air-lock. Disconnect the tube from the air fill valve, hold the hose above the bottle of flat-out, and let the fluid flow back into the bottle. Then, raise the bottle upside down above the hose and squeeze bottle so it just starts to flow out of the end of the hose, and immediately attach the hose to the inner tube inlet and start squeezing the fluid into the tire. This works!

    When I first got my Sondors e-bike it was running well with no flats at all. Riding in NYC you run into a lot of construction sites and one day I picked up a small tack nail. I was hoping to make it to work before the wheel went flat but nope. Lucky my bike folds and I was able to put it in a cab and get home. I ordered Armor dilloz red for my rear tire and that worked extremely well. But the price was hefty for a 20 oz bottle. When I got my second flat I started to look up something else that didn't cost as much and worked as well or better. That when I saw a video from a guy testing the different brands and Flat-Out beat all of them even when the guy drilled a quarter size hole in the tire, it still sealed it shut. So I order a bottle from Amazon and the price was half the price less then the Armor Dilloz, and you got away more for the price in the bigger bottle. Haven't had any flats ever since and I even had my tires upgraded and there was no leaks in the tires. Works great and when ever I talk to anyone about flats, I tell them to order Flat-Out and you'll never get flats again.

  • @HDnatureTV

    Many of us who ride Cyrusher e-bikes use both Tannus Armor and FlatOut with great success. So if you want to ultimate in protection this is the way to go. Forget Slime that hardens over time or the other tire Tuffy liners vs Tannus. Note I actually, have all 3 but I would skip the liners next time around. Good riding! Lots of good videos on youtube.

      @@bbessi3454 yes. Just know it depends on where the hole is and how big for it to work. If it is on the side of the tire/tube or from the valve then it’s less likely to work. If the hole is in the center tread area, it can fix it pretty easily as long as it’s not a tear and just a puncture.

    I've gone tubeless wherever I could (three bikes with wider than 2.0 inch tubeless ready tires). The rims don't have to say "tubeless ready". My four other skinnier tire bikes all have have tubes that I patch once, and only once, in case of a flat. The interesting part is that sometimes my patch leaks slightly, so, instead of redoing the patch, I inject sealant into the tube, and, voila, the leak is sealed and stays sealed. This technic is something that comes in very handy when touring for weeks on the open road. I only take with me a plastic bottle of sealant and a length of tubing that fits over the valve stem; no need to remove the core.

    Awesome product,I can remember one time I ran over something and heard a hissing sound.Then it went silent ,as I was locating the sound ,it stopped,and I could see a little dampness from the sealant on the punctured tire area.There was a little air escaped from the inner tube ,but it self sealed and was still rideable back home.Now goes in every tire,quarter bottle each tire for 20x4 /Ariel Grizzly bike with dog cart in tow,each buggy tire( 20 inch) half a quart each.I find it a good idea to carry an air pump in case you need to top up on the way back home.

      Great idea to use the FlatOut Tire Sealant with one's fat tire; I have one of the Lectric XP Premium that has the built in mid drive mount electric motor for $1,900 right now; now it has 20 inch by 4 inch fat bike tires and in addition to using the FlatOut Tire Sealant which is a great tire sealant idea to utilize; one can also optionally upgrade one's fat tire to a Shinko 244 Series Dual Sport Tires which are specified at 3.00"-16" size to be compatible to fit 20 inch by 4 inch fat bike tires; they are a truly great option since typical 20 inch by 4 inch fat bike tires typically get about like maybe 1,800 miles of tire mileage before fat tire replacement is needed; but with the Shinko 244 one typically get about like maybe 5,400 miles of tire mileage before ultimately needing fat tire replacement; and the tire itself goes for about $53.95 so it is a very affordable and rather long lasting mileage fat tire replacement for the money;
      it however is a much heavier duty tire carcass which will require one to use some tire some dish soap and water as a supplemental tire lubricant aid to mount the heavier duty Shinko fat tire; along with using a pair of Harborfreight Pittsburgh Automotive 24 inch general purpose tire iron($6.99 per tire iron), simply use the curved offset hood end to remove tire bead and the curved spoon end to pull the last remaining section of tire bead over the rim; at $6.99 apiece one will need to buy two of them so it will still cost only $14 but it will make installing tires quite literally like child's play and;
      then one will be finally able to enjoy puncture and flat free tire performance for about the next 5,400 miles of tire mileage; though one might have a bit slower acceleration and one might have a one or two mph loss of maximum top speed mph but other than that the Shinko 244 3.00" by 16" fat tire combination when filled with the Flat Out tire sealant will be nearly impervious to flats while out on the road for at least 5,400 miles or so tire mileage;
      now since the Shinko 244 tire carcass is much heavier it is also capable of potentially actually sealed by using a conventional auto tire plug kit to get oneself back home in just five minutes after one locates the source of one's air leak on the leaking tire; by using one's handy trusty all purpose automotive tire plug kit also as well; without hardly ever needing to remove one Shinko 244 fat tire from one's wheel; I definitely love the idea of a potential five minute conventional tire plug fix especially if its raining or it its cold outside in particular.

    I recently got my first ebike. A fat tire version to boot. I was watching videos to learn more about ebikes and maintenance and came across someone testing various flat preventative measures and all videos point to FlatOut being the best option. I was putting off purchasing it till i had all the necessary gear like a new helmet, goggles, phone mount, proper tools, etc etc and flat prevention was an afterthought as i have patches and pumps with me at all times. It is kind of a pain getting a wheel off on electric bikes with hub motors, as i learned from a flat, that i put the FlatOut on top of the priority list. I had my ebike since 7/14 and have already put about 350 miles on it and have had a flat, so FlatOut is now in my tires. I have to install my torque arms now as they came in yesterday.

      I’m planning on doing a video soon on how to repair an already flat tire using Flatout. Depending on what caused the flat, you can actually put Flatout in and it can fix it.
      Keep in mind, it’s not a guarantee and you could end up wasting 1/2 a bottle if it doesn’t work. My plan is to make 2 holes in a tire simulating a screw puncture, thorn puncture in a tire without Flatout.
      Then I’m going to add it in and see if it seals it. Then keep it the way it is and do a follow up a week later while doing daily rides in between.
      I’m quite sure it will work. But keep in mind big rips in a tube won’t work.

      I did have 1 flat from a wire that sliced the sidewall. Flatout repaired it for a few miles and a couple of days when I leaned the bike and allowed it to seal the tear. It was too big of a rip though and it inevitably tore larger when we took the bike off-road and bounced around on it too much.
      I have not had any other flats for a few years since using flatout on at least a dozen or more e-bikes. Seriously, the stuff is amazing. I no longer use liners since I started using flatout. I don’t find it necessary. The flat I got from the wire would’ve not been prevented with a liner either and that’s the only problem I’ve ever had.

I like riding the Ride1up Core-5 when going for anything longer than the post office due to the comfort and speed that ebike offers and has a really old school bike feel for me. The WTVA Orion 20"x4" fat tire bike is used a lot by me and my camera guy for filming review videos as it is easy to get on and off and fast enough to get good footage at higher speeds. When out for a long cruise with my friends, I will often take the Magicycle Cruiser due to the upright position, super powerful and fast motor, and ultra soft ride with the big fat 26"x4" fat tires. It try to rotate bikes, but my garage is so small, I ride what's mostly easy to get out when I can unless I have time to plan ahead for stuff like weekend rides. My friends like riding some of my other bikes and each has their favorites like the Mokwheel and Snapcycle each for different reasons.

      I posted this next part of my reply on another commenter who asked about Flat-out.
      _"About 4 months ago I actually got a flat tire on a 26" Fat tire ebike that had Flat-out sealant in it! I ran over the middle of a stiff wire that made the sharp end of it curl and puncture the side wall. Nothing could have prevented the flat (other than me not running over the wire). Interesting thing that later happened when I pumped the tire up again to find the hole, I rotated the tire and leaned the bike to let the sealant find it and it completely sealed the sidewall tear! I needed to take a 2 day trip so I left the bike to see if it would hold and it did! We made a review video and took it off-road and our bouncing around tore the hole bigger so inevitably I needed to change the tube out. All that being said, Flat-out worked like a champ even for a tear. I do not ever recommend anyone continue to ride a bike that has a tear on the sidewall, but I was impressed on how well the sealant worked on a hole that any of its competitors would not have been able to make rideable."_
      I continue to put flat out in all my ebikes and still believe its the best thing out there to prevent flats. The tear was about 5mm wide and I am still in disbelief that it sealed it so well where we could go off road with the ebike before the tear got bigger and the air leaked out and needed to be leaned over again to be resealed. I have footage of that day and hope to find a good way to make a story for youtube about it soon.
      Seriously, if Flatout ever becomes a publicly traded company, I'd buy a ton of stock just for the fact that I believe in it so much. I know I'd have had at least 6-10 more flats over the last year if I didn't use it.

      One can always use the 100ml syringe method to install the Flat Out tire puncture sealant

    I actually had a Kendra fat tire with the Anti Nell plastic strip in it Crack and puncture Inner tube and tire I'm thinking of baby using a motorcycle tire since it's about the same price as a 16th fat tire

      Did you ever go with the motorcycle tire? Only issues I see is they're like ten times the weight and might be a a problem mounting with their thick side bead. 🤷

      @@whatsit2ya247 Not yet, I hear you can do it though and I'm not worried about the weight because I have an electric bike I'd rather have the weight than dealing with fixing a flat. Got other projects going right now...

    Can I do this with my already flat rear tire on my electric bike?

      Yes, one can attempt to install the Flat Out tire puncture sealant so long as one manually rotates the tire around so that it can evenly coat the tube evenly inside over the time span of a couple minutes giving it a chance to seal any potential tire hole punctures in the process.
