    Holy shit that second tip about saying nothing is absolute gold. I've tripped myself up by "doing the right thing" in the past and learned this lesson the hard way. People don't like to hear it but it's the skeleton in the closet of heavy industry... unfortunately it's often true that you go a very long way by turning a blind eye.

      Hi mate, thanks for dropping past . Unfortunately its very true , every time i've offered to help suggestions you either get thrown under the bus or end up doing it all yourself and getting criticized for it. Even performance reviews now i don't say anything at all absolutely no benefit. Under the Radar is the best way to stay alive. strange world we now live in

    I recently got to learn no ,8,9,10 the hard way! My friend, keep your life to yourself it gets messy super fast! And must I add... don't get yourself in any romantic relationships with people if you want to survive they long. Gossip spreads fast in such settings!
    No 9. In my own words:
    After narrating an incident with my boss to my friend, she simply told me, Make friends with your boss. If he ain't friendly, make friends with your boss's boss. Better yet make friends with anyone in a position to affect your life at the workplace or any other place for that matter
    No 10
    Do your job extremely well and don't be caught in small or big mistakes.
    I must say I love working away from home. I love exploring places. Something I didn't know until I got to do fieldwork. Moving from one place to the next is breathtaking!
    For anyone wondering, I'm a young surveyor by profession. Just starting out let's see where this career path takes me. Loving it so far 🥰

    Hey mate great video you got any advice on getting into the industry thinking ill go for it a go next year im 18 got no trade and no experience but im eager to learn

    • @34Media
      @34Media  Před 2 lety +1

      I suggest something like saving and getting a HR license try to get some experience in truck driving, other options all the big mining companies do apprenticeship every year intake normally around january check there websites contact them try and get a electrician apprenticeship would be the best win for you. other then that get your resume up on all there website recruitment pages and keep chasing them. The hardest part is getting in i had 20 years experience and a trade and still took me well over a year to get in and that was as a contractor then another 1.5 years to be able to swap over to the Dark side of the force ! last option is get on site with the camp services team cleaning gardening cooking no skill required trust me there is no such thing as a chef on any site ive worked !😂 then once you meet people and make friends opportunities will present themselves plenty of bar staff and cleaners now working as supervisors and tradies on site where i work. Mines don't care about qualifications its all done by iPad now days no actual skill needed just have to do what you r told and be PC compliant. Good Luck

  • @kyleo6455
    @kyleo6455 Před 2 lety +1

    Turning a blind eye can apply to pretty much all jobs, no one likes a brown nose and if your dobbin the crew in for things like "oh he was 5 late" or " he forgot to write in the numbers on that one sheet" everyone's gonna hate you quickly and a lot of the time the bosses/supervisors have more important things to attend to then someone's minor complaint
    ( this is aside major incidents where people have actually been injured or someone is doing something beyond stupid which will surely end in someone getting hurt or worse )
    Rock up
    Do your job to the best of your ability
    Don't whinge
    Don't dob
    Leave
    Everyone's happy

The channel side has been going well feel a lot happier with what im putting out and my daily news and tech show another day, another vlog is at 375 shows ! and nearly 1000 listens on the podcast ! so super stoked that all the hard work is paying off 2021 hopefully hit that magic 1000 subscriber mark . I know the money is still not enough to quit my job lol . But a good sign that im doing the right things to keep people informed and entertained! I was hoping for a new camera but the m50 mark 2 was basically a firm ware update so waste of time. If they don't release a pro app-c before ned of year i may just buy a second m50.
