    I'm not sure what age this 2030 is but JD must have changed their numbering system at some point because that is way bigger than a series 2 tractor today. Excuse my ignorance. One thing I would like to say though is, it is not OK they don't put a drain plug in the filter what a bitch you have to make a mess to remove it. Seriously.
    Love your vids. You have such a calm nature it makes it a pleasant learning experience.

    G'day mate always a fascinating how you can split the tractor and on your own to. How far are you going to take this one because it's in pretty good nick especially when you look at the bonnet it only has surface rust on it, I don't know about the other side but I assume it's the same, it would be very nice painted. Anyway Lance good to see you look forward to the next instalment John

    Great video,
    I have a 1974 JD 830 utility tractor. I need to split it, due to the pto clutch doesn't disengage when pressed. I've heard this is not really a bad job. Your other video on pto clutch plates is very informative also.
    Could the hydraulic filter you removed effect a front end loaders down force. Sometimes i have great down force, sometimes i don't.
    Thanks a bunch for sharing what you do.

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  Před 3 lety

      Probably not the filter so much. They do run out of oil when being worked at times that will effect that.

    • @BundyBearsShed

    thanks for the great video. this is my same tractor. mine has been leaking around the split seam and I just found that a couple bolts were loose. one of them just spins- the right side top under the shifter cowling. could I put a longer bolt in there or will I need to do something more drastic? I probably should do a new gasket but that means splitting the tractor and I don't have a concrete floor- which looks pretty necessary. thanks again! love seeing my same ol' gal online! Lulu

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  Před 2 lety

      Try the longer bolt with loctite but you will probably need a helicoil at some stage.

  • @parkland4530
    @parkland4530 Před 3 lety

    I seem to have a leak around the plates that support the fuel pedal pivot point. What is under there? Is it hard to replace the gaskets or could it be something else? Thanks find your videos very helpful..

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  Před 3 lety +1

      Easy fix it is just a paper gasket and due to the steering bush in the back of it they flex a little so some master gasket or similar works well.

    Great video. I have the 2030 but with 8 fwd and 4 reverse. (No hi loshifter near technometer.) When i engage pto with flail mower on it the hydraulics get weak and front hi press hydraulic pump starts to make noise (clunking). If i turn off the flail mower and rev the engine the hydraulics come back. The clutch and pressure plate was recently replaced. The hydraulic oil, filter and both screens ( one where you showed and one behind hi press hydraulic pump under air filter) were cleaned. Oil level is good. Im stumped what could be the cause for loosing hydraulic pressure if pto engaged with flail mower on it. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  Před 3 lety +2

      I think the PTO clutch circuit may have a leak. there is O rings on the pipes and sealing rings in the pack. You can test the pto pressure on the top cover but it sounds like you may need to split it for a look.
