    "Give this video a thumbs up if you liked it. If you didn't, please just close the browser window, I think that's better for both of us." That line alone got me to subscribe let alone the detailed review. I just purchased this bag hoping it'll be the one for me. I ended up with the medium camera cube, kinda regretting not getting the pro cube but I had to save money somewhere. Thanks for the review!

    I bought one of these the 31 L with pro + camera cube for my Sony A7R II with battery grip and 3 G master lenses 16-35 24-70 and 70-100mm all f2.8 lenses. These need to be stored with reversible lens hood attached. The build quality, construction and comfort are a class above. However the camera cube is not sufficiently deep @ 11.6cm to store lenses vertically in foam pockets consequently a lot of space is lost. Additionally with the camera grip attached I cannot use the side pocket for access leaving only the roll top or back for access to my gear which is not ideal. In the end I had to return it to the store and purchased a 24 L Tenba Axis back pack. This has 6L less capacity and cones in much deeper at 17 cm which gives more flexibility to store lenses vertically. I was able to store a lot more kit with this bag with 6 L less capacity than the 31L wandrd prvke. I ok also have easy side and top access for mY camera with the hand grip attached and have spare kit capacity. Wandrd is an excellent camera but it’s utility is very much dependent on the kit you have one size (depth) camera cube definitely does not fit all kit!

    Great review man, love my 21L ver. I really would enjoy the camera cube for the top, but for the time being all my stuff fits in the Access Duffle.

    Just received my Wandrd and really loved the pro camera combo and wanted to see someone else’s arrangements as I felt that the dividers were the most difficult to customize out of all the camera bags I’ve seen and tried. It provides comfort, fashion and a lot of zippers but it’s a little difficult to arrange the main compartment which is the highlight and whole point of a camera bag.

    • @BryanWilkat
      @BryanWilkat  Před 4 lety

      I get what you're saying about the dividers, I think it's one of those bags where it works best if you leave the camera + main lens area the way it was when it ships and then you modify the other dividers around that. That little bridge part between the upper and lower sections gets in the way (sometimes (it's another part I considered cutting off, haha)) so let me know if you've found a different way to set it up, I'm curious to see what others have done.

      Bryan Wilkat Mine is actually quite similar to yours. The top part I put my batteries for drones or light/monitor & also for accessories like mic ND & straps. The bottom is just lens and camera. The roll top I either put a flash with diffuser, a drone with case over it. Sony cameras a relatively small so I can fit 2-4 lenses and even 2 bodies.

    Thanks for the review! Do you think it'll fit something like a C200 sideways, or is it not that deep?

    • @BryanWilkat
      @BryanWilkat  Před 4 lety +1

      Hmmm... How wide is the C200 body if you were to lay it down in a bag? The pro camera cube seems to be about 4.5" inches deep, maybe you could say it's 5" deep if you don't put anything in the laptop sleeve. The S1H is 4.5" high and if you rewatch the broll in the video, you'll see it fits well but there's not much more clearance there.

    Any regrets on getting the full size cube? I’m trying to decide between the essential or the pro. Does it just basically ‘stiffen’ the top and still provides plenty of space?

    • @BryanWilkat
      @BryanWilkat  Před 4 lety +1

      Nope, no regrets! It doesn't extend into the roll top area but for a better idea of how much space is left, I just measured the depth inside the roll top when it's fully unrolled and you still have about 7-8 inches of space (vertically) before you get to the cube. The way the pro cube is designed, you could also choose to have the top of it open into the roll top area, so theoretically your roll top can be as deep as you need it to be. I personally think if you have more than 2 lenses or you have a lot of accessories, definitely go with the pro cube because the other cubes are small and fill up very quickly.

    Notice the guitar and amp behind you, are you a working musician as well as photographer/videographer?

    • @BryanWilkat

      I wish! That was the original dream though. If you like post-rock/instrumental or noise, and felt like digging around you should be able to find some EP's and little side projects I've worked on though! :)

    If my order comes with WANDRD Pro+ Camera Cube can i still customize it for a half camera and half everyday regular stuff?

    • @thesonofdarwin2717
      @thesonofdarwin2717 Před 3 lety

      You would need to use the rolltop expansion, or divide the Pro cube and use part of the cube for storage. The Pro cube goes all the way to the top where the rolltop begins.

    Liked the video but that "Just close the browser, I think it's better for both of us" bullshit is what's gonna make me look past. Engage your audience. Don't tell them what to do.
