Keep em comin brother, nice to get a sense of what its like out there. Thinking of pulling the trigger myself so your vids help. Nice steaks.
Right on buddy got more coming once I get a decent camera hopefully this week
i always wounder why our job is unnamed lease/production operator sometimes pumper ,gauger , well tender , WTH is going on XD
Looking to purchase an operated well. I have owned non-operated working interests and want to become a bonded operator. Want to be able to evaluate wells, and not get ripped off, and diagnose well problems. Would pumper school be useful for me? I would contract daily operations out. What training do you recommend?
I have been in the industry since I was 19 roused about well service and now I drive a transport hauling water. I would like to move over to the least operator side what's the hardest part of your job.
Hey there...what in your opinion are the more common dangers of being a lease operator that you have encountered or have seen others encounter...I hear its pretty easy to get asphyxiated from H2S once you open a thief hatch if your not careful.
H2S is definitely something to be mindful of along with pressures. Like anything dangers you learn to respect it all and focus on the task you are performing. Complacency kills most people in the patch.
What are bonus look like or how they are based(performance)?
Can you make a video just talking about pressures on the well and batteries? A lot of pumpers have a hard time understanding pressures
Absolutely
Sindia how did you get into the field?
monkeymuggs I went to pumper school and got in with wood
I worked for Woodgroup PAC back in 2013 when I first broke out in South Texas.
Also I’ll get on this video asap
Hey Mike what company do you work for if you dont mind answering also any advice for a new pumper coming in the scene. I just got hired in odessa tx
What background did you have and what company
Hey man I jumped off Riggs pulling and drilling but I actually have always been interested in being a pumper what qualifications do you need or experience do you need to have to become a bumper or what education level do you need
Know someone that can get you in or work as a maintenance roustabout hand for a year. You can either go roustabout pusher or pumper after a year. If you take the roustabout path you’ll realize that most of the pumpers don’t know what’s going on with their equipment so learn from their mistakes.
How do you get into this line of work and what skills do they look for? Trying to get my foot in the door at the moment. Much appreciated!
The way I got in the door was by knowing someone already in the industry. Believe it or not the oilfield is a small community that works on the Good Ol Boy system. Currently now jobs are in High demand; show up in person in West Texas and you should get hired on the spot no issues.
You will need some experience around wells before you can get this job. I started out in coil tubing, then artificial lift and finally decided to get into production. Apply in person is a must, but also have resume submitted online in advance before showing up in person. On rare occasion you can get hired with no experience and mentored but you wont make nearly as much money. How did I even get my foot in the door for coil tubing you ask? I had a cdl license and coil tubing is always hiring. Keep your driving record clean.
Agree most production people come from Drilling, Coil or flowback hands
Hell just blow the bumper spring up to unstick a plunger
Lol I’ve actually caught a bumper spring in the lubricator; was interesting.
@@Jankycattlecompany that happened to me last year I thought my cover dropped a 2nd plunger to knock one loose after I heard one come up , then another
Lol, yep. Next step is call wireline let them go set it
hello brother what is the system of rotation of the lease operator 14/14 or 28/28 and what is the salary thank you
There are a bunch of different work schedules for LOs (lease operators) most I have were 8 on 6 off, 5&2 with rotating weekends or 7&7. Some West Texas companies are allowing 14&14 but 28&28 is usually offshore would be my guess.
Salary wise definitely dependent on experience usually around $18/hr is lowest I’ve noticed for entry level. Experienced operators shouldn’t have an issue grossing over 100k/yr with bonuses
i live in algeria what is the best way to apply fo a job ( lease ooperator) in TX. thank you very much
I would just get on indeed.com and search "pumper jobs in Texas" and start applying
Good morning brother i hope that you are good. I want ask you about hebergement and restoration does company cover hebergement and food for their employées. Thank you
Could you explain yourself alittle better no offense I'm just not clear with what you are asking.
Any idea who who hire women entry level lease operators? I went to pumper school but it's hard to be taken seriously being a girl
I work with several female lease operators now. If you have pumping school you shouldn’t have an issue getting hired.
Apply with Viper Products and Services, I just got hired 1.5 months ago. Midland, TX dont know if they are hiring though.
Hired as what??
@@stoopy_. Lease Operator
What's your background did you already have pumper experience?
