The maker will hate me but that's a particularly tasteless brand of coarse pasta you're using. Think Italian deli rather than the cheap supermarket stuff
Well, you are free to use a pasta of your choosing. It could very well be that the content creator is on a tight budget or is aiming for those that are.

Of course, many of us would like to eat better than we do, but there are some that have severe budget constraints. Personally, my fortunes have improved but some habits die hard. I have not tried this particular recipe, but something similar. It didn't move me, but there is much to be said for some simple smashed sardines on toast. Hmm...maybe tomorrow
