Another one that a lot of people don't talk about was in 1993 1st Round between the Lakers vs Suns Game 5 the deciding Game, Barkley had a late game offense basket interence that was not called by the refs that really kept the game alive for the Suns. Not just a call they sent the Lakers to the free throw line 27 times in the 4th qtr on phantom calls and allowed the Lakers to clothes line Sac and bust their noses wide open with no calls. This is the most egregious criminal act ever in the NBA and it was a close out game for Sacramento to go to the NBA Finals. Literally cost them a championship. Everyone knew Miller was getting the ball so all eyes were on him and he just straight up two-hand shoved Jordan, didn't even try to disguise what he was doing. The games are definitely manipulated in both the NFL and NBA. In both sports the ref can literally find a penalty on just about every play because they are contact sports are at the mercy of a refs judgement. They just want games to be exciting and to come down to the wire or for certain stars and teams to do well. The refs are masters at controlling tempo and are the directors on the field trying to keep games close and exciting. The NFL is pretty blatant.

In the post game press conference after game 6 of the 1998 Eastern conference finals when Jordan was tripped on his way to the hoop, he claimed that “the refs have to make that call“....But if you recall the end of game 4 of the 1995 first round playoff series against the Hornets, Larry Johnson shot a fade away air ball that David Windgate snatched out of the air and had an EASY put-back that would have won the game and sent the series to a decisive Game 5 on Charlotte’s home floor.....But Michael Jordan intentionally swatted Windgate’s arm preventing the hoop and preserving the Bulls winning the series, 3-1. After the game in the postgame press conference, Jordan said that he intentionally fouled Windgate, and “if that’s what the Hornets were crying about, then so what! Let em cry”! But then in 1998 when he’s accidentally tripped, he says “THE REFS HAVE TO MAKE THAT CALL”!!! What he meant to say is “The refs HAVE to make that call if I’m the one who’s fouled”! 🙄

Game 6 of Seattle and Houston in the 1993 playoffs had 6 bad calls in the 4th quarter alone.
Rockets were up 3-2 and winning by 14 in game 6. Ended up losing that game and game 7. The NBA wanted their Barkley/Jordan finals. Seattle was Houston's Kriptonite. The Rockets would've dominated Phoenix and matched well with the Bulls.

Probably the most disruptive call in NBA history would be the league office's decision to suspend Draymond Green from an elimination home game in the NBA finals. The call on Green was not originally ruled a technical foul by the refs during the game. This one call completely influenced the outcome of the entire season as the Cavs were then able to come back and win the series from being down 3-1. The call featured LeBron throwing Green to the ground and walking over him, an act which caused the league office to interfere and rule technical fouls for both players AFTER the game was over. The tech would put Green over the allowed number of technical fouls and required automatic suspension. A fact the league office were well aware of when making their ruling.
