I'mma share my cocky moment since it reminded me because of this video lol.
So it was a tie game 4th quarter 6 secs left on the clock, the other team's player was attempting 2 freethrows, he missed both and I knew stood no chance againts their center and I acted like I was hit then fell, the refs fell for it and since both teams are in penalty I had a chance to take on the lead by 2 points. Fortunately, I successfully did both freethrows with s cocky dance after every shot the crowd loved it, t'was our homecourt😂. 2.9 SECS left they took a timeout then during the inbound play They beat the buzzer with a 3point shot, taking the win with authority LOL. I learned my lesson tho and was only hyped with my 24 point game but regardless I shouldn't have done that, clearly a bad idea, it fuels the other team in some type of way to desperately win the game. HAHA
LOL when I was in 8th grade we won the cyo championship. Our SG hit a game winning 17 footer with a baby fade. We were down by 7 or 8 with less than 20 seconds . The other teams families were all on the court with their bench trying to intimidate us. Funny thing is they were mostly upper-class woman LOL we were ghetto kids. They were so arrogant they paid the refs everything you could imagine they tried. We won. Unfortunetly one of our players spit at the parents at one point and it really got hectic. best day of my life though. We beat a Lamar Odom'd up Redemption team to make it to the championship twice. It was 1992-93 I believe.

That first incident with the balloons ... My grandpa who's 93 years old now says he watched that whole series live. He said that on TV, he saw Bill Russell look up at the balloons and point and laugh at them in the pre game. He said it was a fun game to watch.

Every team in every sport had newspapers/shirts/hats/balloons made ready in case the team wins that night. That’s completely normal. I’ve got me a 76ers eastern conference champions from the game 7, where Toronto actually won. They donate those shirts and hats of the losing team.

In aau and varsity I always played better when someone pissed me off. Once went off for 48 and 1 assist because after a 12 -2 first quarter (I assisted on that only bucket) the player guarding me said "yall only scoring if you pass" so I proceeded to drop buckets on him still lost by 4 pts but had my revenge. Final score was 52-48.
