For some reason though, a couple of camera guys and several Lakers players from the bench went into the court yet the refs never called a legitimate violation there. After that incident though, Bill Laimbeer was still able to make an incredible pass to Isiah Thomas and then he tripped into Magic Johnson yet there was no foul there and then the Lakers won the 1988 championship.

  • @rudyflores5540

This is how I put the MJ one. The bulls 3peat in 91, 92, and 93. Then MJ doesn’t retire, and the Bulls beat the rockets in 94, and in 95 the bulls would win again because MJ played a full season and not just 17 games in baseball shape. Then they 3peat again like irl with 96, 97, and 98, giving them 8 in a row. THEN if Jerry Krause wasn’t stupid and got rid of Phil Jackson, which in turn made MJ retire, and also dealt half of the 98 team away, they would have beat the Knicks team as they done so many times in the ECF, and eventually 9peat by beating the Spurs. Now after this, the bulls would have been aging but I think they could have 10peated against the lakers in 2000. An 11th would probably be the farthest I’d go, but that’s a long shot. And for anyone saying Jordan and Pippen and them would be aging, remember that Jordan averaged 20 points a game in 2003 at age 43, and pippen had a longevity career as well where he was productive. Add him to some of the stars that Krause dealt, and some of the young talent they got, and that’s why the bulls would have won so many in a row

1995 is interesting, because Jordan came back, but he was in baseball shape (more muscle, less agility). What people overlook though is the impact of Horace Grant leaving via free agency. That was also a big factor in 1995, Grant left before that season while Rodman signed after that season. Not having a strong interior presence like Grant or Rodman certainly played a role in the series vs Magic and I imagine would have played a role vs Rockets.

He really was the most recognized person on Earth for a long time & it was smothering him. It was not fun or enjoyable anymore for him. play hard = gamble with injury
play with moderation= lesser chance to be riddled with injury
now if players got injured during playoffs, that is just the takeaway of playing hard and playing with moderation..regular season games are the way to playoffs..

Putting an asterisk on the Raptors' title is unfair, as they were winning 3-2, and Game 6 was very close when Thompson got hurt. KD was not a part of those playoffs anyway. Also, the only reason that series didn't end in a gentleman's sweep was that incredibly stupid timeout Nurse got in Game 5, destroying the Raptors' momentum while they were winning 103-97 two minutes before the end ball at hand and in a madhouse.
