I am guessing since their is going to be an ultra version i suspect if their is a s pen slot it will be reserved for that but i am with you their needs to be an s pen slot.
Good luck, i can imagine the thickness of my s24 ultra plus and extra screen thickness on top of that.. so happy to leave the foldables after two generations.
I care more about a bigger cover display & most importantly, a bigger faster changing battery. Because battery life has been atrocious on these Galaxy Z Folds.🔋

If Samsung doesn't sell a Ultra Version in North America then I'm saving my $. I won't spend anymore $$$$ on the exact same form factor with a couple of tweaked upgrades and a ridiculous price tag. I've been using a z-fold since the Z-fold 2 and its a great phone, I just think they're gonna lose $ on this Version if they don't give the people what we've BEEN ASKING FOR. WIDER OUTER DISPLAY SAMSUNG. I mean come on SAMSUNG, STOP PLAYING

Are you kidding me? The Z Fold5's camera is plenty good. I'm always impressed by the quality of my pictures. They always look crisp & vibrant to me. I think some people just listen to snobby tech reviewers on CZcams too damn much.
Instead, they should just listen to themselves about what looks good, if you're happy with them, that's all that matters. Most people as long as they look well above average (and they do) are happy. Most of us aren't professional photographers.🤦🏽♂️

Still love my Galaxy Fold 3 will be upgrading .....Foldable for life 😂
Mines is still running great, but I have it all cracked and scratched from the camera/small screen side.
you're lucky you started with fold 3, fold 4 was really bad.
With these specs I may just stay with my Fold 4, maybe I can get a 5 at a decent price. The phone manufacturers are nickel and diming us with the specs, and charging a HUGE premium for the devices. I'm disappointed with this update if these specs hold true.
Zero reason to get a fold 5 over the 4. I still have the fold 4 and if the 6 doesn't have a decent upgrade over the 4 and 5 I'll still keep my paid off 4. Samsung has got just as bad as Apple when it comes to innovation. They keep slapping a new sticker on old products every year and people keep buying it.
I thought the corners were going to be sharper similar to the S24 Ultra. They still can't get me to buy one of these phones at that price.
This might be the foldable that samsung might upgraded since the galaxy z fold 3 lets goo samsung
Ok I have to comment on this because I see it all the time and it's not true the fold 4 was a upgrade from the fold 3 because you get a 50 mega pixel camera on the fold 4 and the 3 is only 12 mega pixel and you get 30 times zoom and 8 k recording on the fold 4 which you don't have on the fold 3 and the outer display is wider than the fold 3 on the fold 4 the fold 5 is the phone that had no upgrade from the fold 4 just Brighter and a little better battery life so it's the first upgrade since the fold 4 not the fold 3

And at the bare minimum, freakin' 45W charging. I mean come on Samsung, it's 2024, we should really already have 65W charging, let alone 45 Watts. Most OEMs already do. If the Z Fold5 would have had at least 45W Super Fast Charging, I would have upgraded from my factory unlocked 512GB Z Fold4.
That alone would have been enough for me to upgrade. But I didn't because the Z Fold5 was basically the Z Fold4 but with a one year newer chip set & a slightly brighter display. But not at all enough to pay another outrageous amount of money for. Come on Samsung, do better for us loyal customers for once.🤷🏽♂️

Being that the Fold 5 has been $1300 on Amazon, no strings, a few times starting as early as 3 months after launch (and currently $1400 when there's not Black Friday or any holidays going on), clearly they can make a profit on $1300. Plus with trade in you can get crazier deals, if you traded in a Fold 3 to Samsung around Black Friday you could get it for $600, or $540 with a student discount.
My hope would be that there's one tier offered starting at $1200, and one at $1800, with the $1200 tier being a little stripped down (Exynos chip, no layer for S Pen support, Fold 4 cameras, lower-quality displays) and the $1800 model being very premium (S24 Ultra cameras, Snapdragon 8 gen 3 Plus, S Pen included, S Pen support on both screens, cover display matching S24 Ultra and a larger inner display to match, starting specs of 512gb/16gb).
Having a model that starts lower than the S24 Ultra without needing to wait for Black Friday would be a lot more digestible for people who are interested (plus, realistically, it could probably still go lower for Black Friday if the Fold 5 could be gotten for $540 and a trade in that sells for about $300 secondhand).
Having a model that actually matches the S24 Ultra in every way and then can unfold on top of that would also make the enthusiast market more interested, as right now even if cost isn't a concern there are still reasons to go for the S Ultra over the Z Fold.
Myself, I love my Fold 4 and am hoping to upgrade to the Fold 6 on Black Friday, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that I go for the S24 Ultra instead depending on what the Fold 6 has to offer, and what the prices look like.
I want a bigger outer display and a better camera, or they can keep it.
If this is true, it's time to swap foldables to some other brand. The 6 needs to be wider than 6.2 inches, battery above 3/4 of a day. Better fast charging. And a BUILT IN STYLUS. That works on the front screen omggggg. Come on.

If only it would actually look like the phones shown in this piece ..... Those screen sizes in the photos are perfect. Sizes memtioned are the same as the 5 has now so they would need to shorten the length of the phone to allow the wider exterior display We will see what happens......

im still using my fold 2 I've bought in 2020 , there's already minor dents and scratches, but it's still working fine , the battery capacity decreased already

I'm still rocking the day one release Fold 2. Still in very good condition. I refuse to upgrade to a new fold unless the S pen is integrated with it. I'll wait and see.
It won’t happen. They keep trying to slim it down and the battery capacity is already lower than competitor foldables. I’d just buy a case with an S Pen holder if it matters to you

This is literally the same phone based on those specs as the Z fold 4 and Z fold 5. Hopefully this is not the case otherwise I will be going to the Honor V2.

@@sout13 - no I saw the dimensions on another show. I even whipped out my ruler to measure it. It’s actually gonna be shorter and a little fatter. And the fatness doesn’t sound like much but when you measure it, it’s actually a decent amount, and I’ll actually get this phone. I’ve had to fold 2 forever. because I’ve been waiting for it to get fatter. This video right here doesn’t really tell you much. This video kind of gives you the same info from like a few months ago.

The Course that Samsung ar running now are driving people away from the Foldables.the most llPeople except extreme Fanboys, would change Brands if they are not satisfied with the Product. Maybe i´m spoiled but i can´t see an advantage in a cheapfoldable when the Chinese offer affordable Highend Foldables which are better in the Hardware department as Samsungs Highend Foldable.
I am dissapointed with Samsungs course at the moment and if i have to change my eco system (Mobile, Buds, Watch, Tabs etc) then i Won´t be coming back until i´m upset with the other company. If other People think like me and there are a few, then Samsung will never catch up with the Chinese and we will never get the Fold that we Want. or am i Wrong?
