    The most important tip you mentioned is at the 4:50 mark. Whatever type wing and tail you want on the GYRO, SET UP YOUR Tx for NORMAL wing and tail. The GYRO will take care of the mixing if you want DULA AIL or DUAL ELE..

    I believe this functions like my Hobby Eagle A3super4 but with mounting lugs on the gyro. I bought and used the S4 with programme card 2 weeks ago to setup my su35 which has tailerons and ailerons without having to use any of my radio mixes. It was useful to designate aileron 2 and elevator 2 to the main wing aileron and after a bit of servo reversing and using the gyro to accurately set up subtrim on the tailerons I was good to go. I have the gains on a roll dial to avoid messing around with programme card connections at the field should wind conditions vary throughout the day. If I had seen this video a month ago I would probably have gone for the Motion r.c. version as it makes setting up the gyro much easier to understand. No doubt it would be good for the Gripen and Mig 29

    Thanks for the product update, James. Looks to be a great new product. I will add this to my Flightline Corsair instead of the Eagle. Looking forward to the SBUS video and more vids featuring Futaba products. Best, Elbee

    Correction direction. 😂 The surface should deflect in the same direction as you moved it. Raise a wingtip, it should go up. Raise the tail, the elevator should go up. I wouldn’t put my panic mode on the center position. I’d put normal in the middle, off on one side, and panic on the other. Only $40 per plane. My Spektrum receivers have built-in gyros.

      Put nose of plane left, rudder should go right?

    • @txkflier
      @txkflier Před rokem +1

      @@twincitymoo7141 I hold my plane right side up with the tail away from me and rotate to the left or right using my feet. The rudder should deflect in the same direction as the tail is moving. So, if I'm rotating to the left, it should deflect to the left (which is actually right rudder). The gyro should always move the surface in the same direction that you moved the surface. If you raise a wingtip, the aileron on that side should deflect upward. If you raise the tail, the elevator should deflect upward.

    Nicely done James...so many of these gyro explanations are confusing...this one is very understandable and straight forward. The gyro setup says Futaba SBUS but it could be any brand that has an SBUS receiver, right?

    Do you need the programming card for setup? Or is there a way around it? I didn’t know you had to purchase it :/

      @spinoutbill8511 Před 8 měsíci

      I don't have the programming card either. The instruction manual or this video don't show what to do. I'm also using sbus but no luck there either. The A3V2 gyro has a push button for setup.

    Great job MRC. I have connected my gain lead to an open port, double checked channel assignment and when I turn the knob on my Spektrum TX I do not see a pronounced change in gain. On my Eagle Tree Systems (Guardian) gyro when the gain knob is turned all the way down the gyro turns off - no deflections. Here when I turn my gain down all the way down the gyro is still functioning. I am not sure if this is correct?

      Weighs as much as a quarter maybe even a dime.

    I use the gyro programmer for the first time today. The Escape button is not working. In the video you said that after making adjustments in the programmer to press Escape to save it to the gyro. My Escape button is not working. But, anytime I make adjustments and then go back to see if the adjustments I made is save, the adjustments are saved.

    I think this gyro may work in the Freewing JAS-Gripen 80mm to control the canards but you didn't mention it. I guess using a single PPM cable would be a start but how do you mix the canards to the elevons? Do you do the canard mixing in the TX or the gyro?

  • @robertchapman7773
    @robertchapman7773 Před rokem +1

    Does it work with spektrum systems or just futaba ?

  • @trafelij
    @trafelij Před rokem

    It would appear that the E51 and E52 operate independent of the transmitter protocol. So they will work with the Flysky FS-ST8 w/FS-SR8 receiver...right? (which is on ANT protocol). Thanks!

    Will this gyro be compatible with model planes having separate aileron servos, on separate channels, set up as differential ailerons ?
