- Available in solid Maple and Walnut, Grovemade’s new speakers look as interesting as they sound.
The nautilus-looking hole up top is the business end of what audio engineers call a back-loaded (or rear-loaded) horn design. The idea is to extend bass presence and depth by reinforcing the low frequencies coming from the back of a smaller driver like the 2-inch full range driver at use here. The use of a 2-inch full-range driver creates a speaker with really good stereo effects and imaging properties.
The Amp portion of this system uses a 25-watt per channel digital amplifier, and is outfitted with only one set of analog RCA inputs. Modified binding posts link to the speakers thanks to included cloth-covered speaker cables.

They look nice, but the line down the middle really put me off.
Beautiful wood enclosures! The only thing wrong is the nasty looking joint between the two halves. need some work on that for high end look.
The glue line though.. Urgh..
These look like budget 30$ plastic / plywood crap.
Very impressed with the craftsmanship.
ooh where can i buy them?
Interesting t-line enclosure for a tiny speaker.
Thats not a t line. Did you not even listen to what the guy said? That's not even what a transmission line enclosure looks like... it's a folded horn.
Hermosos. saludos desde colombia
Hola Amigo!
i like em, only the black parts are little bit of faded black, if it was more pure and shiny that would be better i think
Please add a link in your videos for the products. It would make checking these out so much easier.

Found it while looking for wooden bumper cases for my iPhone 7plus.
@bert smith dude, I posted my reply 3 years ago, lol
@bert smith Oh understood. The "lol" made it sound as if I posted this when it was D/C. I apologize for the attitude sent back. Thanks for the update
That grill is about acoustically transparent as a cheese grater . Looks like a Fountek FR58EX 2 inch Neodymium Full Range Speaker , which is ok, but that Chinesium childs toy radio amp.....Other that that, I love the design.
That was not neodymium magnet at all.
Change the connector on the bottom, not on the back...
CNC time plus gluing, soldering, and the making of the amp puts us at 200$ per pair to make?
and that's pretty generous
600
Very elegant
So goergous...
Wait til someone makes a speaker out of a Coconut shell. I bet that already has happened.
:-)
"Solders all the parts" Lmfao, just looks to me like a 15 dollar ebay speaker amp!
Indeed😂
the speaker is too warm? and not enough sizzle? hoping for more sparkle? Are you just looking around your dressing table when you wrote this narration?
Skip of Justice
Really annoying presentation, but that's the trend. Confuse the sheeps so that they believe buying something that seems too complicated to them will make them less stupid.
That Fluance RT81 Gave me an errection!
Curious, are there any visible difference between all the RT series turntables?
Lets put bloody 10awg cable on it, cus' you know... that's more audio-phileeyyy 'n' junk.
Mitch King Exactly what I thought! And same applies to those gold plated banana plugs. All that is to justify the price, which is ridiculous. Those are speakers for hipsters.
Im so sad they stoped making these
そんなに悪くない、問題はデザイン(特に金属台の出力部の穴)と木製枠の継ぎ目が特に。 幾らですか?
それから手作り部は無いことからクラフトマンシップとはいえませんね。
Not made for iPhone7
Diego Perez lol
this has been done a million times. it's also called the kef 2001 egg. except they're worth their money because they're actually made of solid 7000 series aluminum versus wood
Linked Devices Hater!
Wait, you said not made in China?
Order placed!
I'm not sure that unique sound is what you want from a speaker
600$?! WTF?!
Only Apple's fanboy buy this
Haim Peretz Why? They are unique speakers...you must not be aware of the vast world of audio, where speakers can get INCREDIBLY expensive. Also not every audiophile is an Apple fanboy, don't know where you got that one...
lol for less than half of that money you can buy something from audioengine which i assume according to their specifications would smoke these overpriced novelty item sq wise. and i reckon looks much better and durable.
Haim Peretz
Hipsters would buy them too. Just to listen to Acid Pauli while drinking coffee with coconut milk.
$600 is nothing for a unique, machined, hand assembled and finished item like this. I'm doing something similar, and I'm looking to charge about the same after all my costs and time spent making them is considered. Things get expensive when they're not mass produced and Chinese-manufactured.
I agree I can make a proper T-line for stereo setup by hand for 100$ give or take.
These look good but I hated the way they sounded
Not really worth the price if you take the word "meticulously" into consideration...
I would very much appreciate not seeing the join showing where the two halves meet. It's unsightly, and detracts from the otherwise outstanding design of these speakers. Just seeing that join puts me off from buying them, because when I pay good money for the best, I expect the product to look fantastic in every way. And the cable at the rear..get rid of it and replace it with decent cable.
You should take a serious look at Paul Klipsch's folded horn enclosures and see it you could better his designs...which I doubt. I am disappointed.
16 dollar woofers.. lol
800 dollars😆😄😂no way would i buy those..no wonder they are discontinued 😅
No
horrible. I could sell mine for 5g in this case lol
RomaTul
fanciest clothes iron ever
That driver looks crappy
looks cheap and DIY
i bet it sounds also cheap
they use just simple chinese amplifiers
poor craftsmanship and probably cheap drivers
Very Nice design, very average sound, very high price.
