Just so you know, I read once in a photography effects book that you can mix certain powders to break those bubbles up into smaller ones so it looks more real for macro shots.. If I find the mixture I'll link it..
Ok thanks :)
Yes. Bubbles are bigger than the ship 😂. Any way nice work 👏
Hope you find the link! 🙏
You can heat up the water also
bubbles are too big, because proportion of water to size of ship is unrealistic. I think use a 10 times or 100 times bigger water tank would make a difference.
Bro the final result makes the ship feel bigger than it actually is. Amazing!
Thanks :) The scale is small (1/200), so it’s a big challenge to make it big and real with a credible depth of field !
No it doesn't

@@meta-xverse also in case you don't know the original film did something similar
@@MiniaturesFX ùuuujuuug7u
The screams of all these miniature figures while the ship was going down. Unforgetable...
The icing on the cake would have been to use a ultrasonic waves to set the water up as a better miniature environment. Would have assisted the effect without resorting to any CGI composites.
what
@leokimvideo just so you know, the night on the real titanic.. the water was calm, extremely calm. So it would be inaccurate if the water had waves and stuff
True the sea was calm, that night; but just at this moment, beside this bit of sinking ship, displaced water and air were anything but calmly trading places 😅
I think the ultrasonics suggested above would produce much smaller waves around the prop as it sank, making things more appropriately proportioned🧐
But that’s a hypothesis I’ve picked up from watching various science channels on CZcams 😬
@@Azurical910 This shot could use higher frequency waves just to look properly scaled.
There was virtually no water movement. That's part of the reason they didnt see the berg in time.
It doesn't look realistic, but it's interesting. I prefer miniatures to CGI.
Good job!
Awesome work, it's impressing how realistic the water implosions through the portholes and vents look
Oh, I can't believe it's not a real full-size ship.😜
*Great work!*
Thanks!

bro im shocked at how you turned the original footage into all that! like, its amazing! very good work
Glad you enjoyed it 😇😇
Absolutely mental. I'm currently building this kit with all the upgraded goodies and its crazy how real it looks. Keep doing these videos. Absolutely quality
Thanks :)
These are pretty amazing effects, I wish I could see these cinematic effects done to recreate the more modern takes of her sinking like the Roy Mengot theory where the ship breaks into 3-4 sections rather than just at the middle of the the engine room skylight like what was used in the James Cameron adaptation.
That turned out way better than expected
Even as amateur.. nothing beats practical effects, that look and feel of physics cannot be matched. Look amazing.. great job!
I’m agree, I love to watch old « behind the scenes » and see the professional model builders work !
The only problem with practical effects using miniatures is the scale. The water droplets and bubbles are massive compared to the scale of the ship.
But this is no less impressive. Looks fantastic regardless.
You guys put so much effort to do this and i really appreciate this. This is so amazing!
The water seems to have too much surface tension. Well done.
Perfect video! Miss the days where good videos were under 5-10 minutes.
It's impressive that slowing down small water dynamics makes it look like larger water dynamics.
IT’S TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!!!
MOST IMPRESSIVE 👏🏻
🙏🙏
Wow, that result actually blew my expectations!
🙏
I really love how this video perfectly shows why James Cameron needed to make those massive models instead of using miniatures. The massive bubbles and slowed down water splashes just can’t be made to look right no matter what you do. The older titanic films that did use miniatures have this issue too, where the water clearly moves in slow motion and it just looks unnatural.
and the bubble size ratio to the ship is really what breaks the illusion (the edit is brilliant and well done with the lights and additional extra effects) but the bubble size gives it all away. so your point is absolutely is correct, James C had no choice if he wanted it look decent, he needed to build a massive replica in order to create the perfect illusion (and control the speed / and all the enviromental effects)
nonetheless we can agree that this shot looks really good - and the model looks super cool
Thanks. And yes, everything is in the scale, Cameron used a 1/8 scale model for the final sink !
next time maybe try blowing air at the bubbles to break them up....that's an old miniature trick...still really awesome!
That's a really good model
Nice! Wonder if there is another fluid with less surface tension you could use, so the bubbles etc. would be smaller and give a more realistic look.
Omg, wow! Awesome! Well done! To know that you simply dropped your own model into a can full of water to have this end result is amazing!
Of course it’s a very low budget shooting ;)
No way! It looks amazing! Great work
Thanks!
OMG! That is absolutely amazing! Looks exactly like the scene from the movie!
..The word "Exactly" is unintentionally exaggerated here because of the '''Omg! I saw something new today''' emotion......Right choice of a word could be. .um. .something like 'almost' or 'nearly'... . ✅
Not really but it’s still good
@@A.Netizen.Since.2010 Jeez why do you have to be so rude and unlikable?
Mmm no need to lie... it does NOT look exactly like the movie. It looks cool, the end result is fine, I like most of it.
@@TheGreekPianist
..I don't have any problem about his using the "rude" word here, cuz reality & truth are generally considered as harsh or rude indeed...My only advice on this. .would be 👉🏼 just get used to it!
..Now, the word "unlikable" used by the poor reply-commenter was PURELY on purpose to start an instant verbal fruitless stupid comment section fight because the little pathetic guy thinks he's qualified enough to judge my entire personality [ that, if I'm likeable or not & bla bla blah ]. .only by my comment!...Hahaha...Oh let me surprise you all by saying YES. .He CAN !...Cuz, these stuff is okay on the internet these days & he might've mastered it enough already by 2023...So likewise, even I can judge his whole personality just by his display picture & labeling him as, "a potentially evil person with psychotic fake smile" who can easily afford ignoring minute details like I have given him clean-chit by using the word "unintentionally" in the first place. .in my previous comment... . 😅
..Just forget about everything & let's back to squire one & start over. 🤞🏼
From a guy who worked on that sinking ship model. This is very impressive and a lot of work. Great job.
Hi Gary, I’m very honored by your message, thanks a lot ! Congratulations to you and your work on the movie ship model, what a masterpiece ! You should tell your own « behind the scenes » 😇
Thats how the movie makers cheating to take our money to be rich heheh
The water bursting out the seams was a good touch
Just one of the many reasons Titanic has aged well thanks to a blend of practical effects and some CGI.
Well done! In the past I think a small amount of detergent was used to break up the surface tension of the water to make the bubbles smaller. Detergent is a surfactant, there may be other kinds of additives or chemicals that can work - I think photo-flo is one - but detergent is certainly the cheapest/safest.
Thanks for the idea :)
Other than it looking like it’s sinking in a thick clear gravy it is spot on
what a perfect video with what camera is it recorded?
Thanks ! Made with a Sony A7S III at 240fps, then slowed down during editing
Thank you for recommending the camera. Good luck and may you achieve all your goals.😉

Amazing model for the Titanic!
It’s crazy how cool this is, it looks just like the movie!
Almost ;)
I wasn’t expecting the end result to look as good as it did based on the beginning. Something about the water at the end didn’t seem right though. The ripples/bubbles looked way too large. Just something about it didn’t seem realistic. Nonetheless, cool stuff!
I think it’s the lack of foam
Yeah, that's too noticeable unfortunately. But solid effort overall.
You can’t scale water down to the scale of the ship so water always looks strange. Older war movies that have sinking boats suffer from this A larger model helps with that.
@@GarretGrayCamera I wonder if making the water look a lot darker would have helped as well
@@billyrice1056 That wouldn’t help. They’d have to build the ship bigger. It’s really the only way except for shooting pressurized air at the water to break up the drops.
Amazing job!
Thanks :)
Brilliantly done. Just that viscosity of sea water and a drum water created the difference but overall, well done.
Wow. That was phenomenal. Amazing recreation
Looks good considering the scale of the miniature and water is always tricky to scale down. Maybe try a fluidised dry powder where air is pumped up through a fine powder such as salt or coloured sand (to replicate water spray), then allow the stern to sink. Since air fed dry powder can behave like a liquid, the heavy stern section should still sink.
thank you for these tips :)
Can alcohol give miniature effects of water?
The algorithm knows how obsessed I am with Titanic and here you are doing legendary things!! I absolutely love this 🥺 what a tribute! I wish you all much success in the miniature movie industry 😭 win that Oscar!!

impressive.
the bubbles though.....
Nice Job! Looks just like the movie!
Toujours aussi génial !
Pourriez vous me dire sur quel logiciel de montage vous travaillez ?
Merci pour ce bon moment partagé ...
Merci beaucoup ! Je fais tout sur Adobe Première: montage, CGI et étalonnage.
I'm amazed by this. To anyone criticitzing the work here: Please! Post YOUR video of this. I'll wait.
A replacement for water or maybe adding something to drop the surface tension of the water would vastly improve this shot. Still looks pretty bangin' though.
water too big
Thats how the movie makers cheating to take our money to be rich heheh
From what I've heard you need to add a water thinner to make the waves look smaller in comparison to the model. That the only thing that's giving it away as a model, the waves are just too big. But otherwise looks very nice good work
also the bubbles
Pretty realistic, even the best techniques struggle with water
I love practical effects! Looks awesome guys 👌
En realidad la réplica a escala era más grande que una persona, pero les quedó increíblemente idéntico
You can shoot your own Titanic film from your amazing miniature Titanic clips. Better than James Cameron!😅

Ok yes it's well done and yes it looks fantastic, but you can't say that about my boy James Cameron.
@@MiniaturesFX Could you please make a miniature corridor from the Titanic that is flooded next? For example, that the room doors are blown up by the water masses!👍🙏
You must be proud to have uploaded this to CZcams.
That’s so good!! Maybe put some soap in the water though. It didn’t look like the sea when it sank because it didn’t have the foam that forms in salt water.
Cena de milhões 👏👏👏
😇😇
Se tivesse colorido a água com um pouco de azul e verde para parecer com a agua do mar ficaria mais realístico ainda.
*Wow! Incredible. It even looks like the scene from the movie itself.*
👏😁
Thanks. I tried to remake the same camera shot angles
That's some real hard work.
You did cut it at the right spot behind coal bunker 6, where the week long smoldering fire meeting the icy seawater caused a series of explosions that broke the bow section and stern sections away from each other in a twisting motion seen on the ocean floor's remnants. However, the water and weight distribution was different, as well as the water volume of the ocean that your garbage can cannot reproduce...if you had used a swimming pool, the reaction you would have gotten would have been more congruent to the actual sinking of the stern, which didn't pop up like a beer bottle in a bucket, but took on water after a slight corking because of air distribution and buoyancy of a ships hull, before slipping into the water at more of a 22 degree angle. A simple test with an open soda bottle will show you the physics involved.
Lol corrects someone about Titanic facts and is wrong about Titanic facts... she broke apart between the 3rd and 4th funnel around the aft grand staircase, electrical room etc... Boiler Room Nr. 6 is almost 200 m further forward. It is roughly under the bridge. They are numbered 1-6 from stern to stem. And no the coal fire did nothing. Certainly no explosions and certainly didn't weaken the hull. Coal bunker fired where very much routine and it had been put put by the 13th. The 300 t of coal shifted from starboard to portside gave her a 3° port list, which helped counteract the weight of water and kept her on an even keel, even listing to port away from the damaged area. But as Scotland Road flooded the list evened out and she plunged starboard, bridge submerging and collapsibles floating off. She broke her back at 2:18 at a 28° stern up angle, the stern as you correctly say corkscrewed and rolled over to port submerging almost capsized 150° or so list, starboard prop and rudder submerged last. 30s later the stern section imploded at 200 m depth killing everyone inside.
@@user-lv7ph7hs7l Yeah, Coal Bunker 6 DID explode as there's a huge hole on the starboard side where it would be XD Seawater at 30 degrees DOES explode when it meets fIery coal, and NO it is not normal to have a fire IN THE BUNKER. So you didn't increase the knowledge of the chat other than to spout some figures about ship listing..
@@pikespeak361 No this is all very incorrect. Boilers explode not coal. Go set a piece of coal on fire and throw it in water. No explosion. The fire was only a few hundred celsius. Smoldering. Not flame. Coal does not explode. You have no source you claim utter BS. You said she broke up around Boiler Room 6 yet that is below the bridge. So where is you explosion damage? You don't even know the layout of the ship or vasic physics. Come on dude don't be a dunning kruger.
@@pikespeak361 The hole is like 10 m above the coal bunker... wrong again.
@@user-lv7ph7hs7l dunning kruger clown XD COAL THATS ON FIRE BY A TON WILL OFF GAS WHEN HITTING FREEZING SEAWATER ! LOOK IT UP, DUMBOT. THERE IS A HUGE HOLE ON THE WRECK ON THE STARBOARD SIDE BY BOILER 6 .
Titanic James Cameron
Fantastic work and really shows why they had to make the shooting model so large... you can just tell something is "wrong" at this small scale, especially when water is involved.
Sure, that’s why Cameron used a 1/8 scale model for the final sink
I love the gigantic water bubbles!!!
Les a quedado genial buen trabajo felicitaciones, se ve muy real. 💪💪💪💪
Amazing work guys!! James Cameron must be envious 😂
I hope !! 😜
There are NO Bubbles in the ocean and definitely not in a COLD Ocean 💀💀
The bubbles are from air being forced out of the inside of the ship
@@Soundwave3591 Oic now I understand but it could be or couldn't be 🤔
No, but when 30,000 tons of steel contains trapped air inside of it, that air will force it's way out of the ship while it's going under.
@@Tdb342 yea that's true but what if it doesn't contained air? There won't be any bubbles 👍

Very cool. I’ll bet it’s a fun process.
It would look even more realistic if you used a life-sized model out in the ocean.

Apart from the large water bubbles, everything is great

okay that lookd good ngl
Amazing, everything looks great except waves, kinda look like it was sinking in boiling water. But anyways beautiful work.
Oh my god that result blow my mind
In fact a little better than cameron because the middle propeller finally has the right number of propeller blades! :)
The propeller configuration didn’t come into public knowledge until around 2007. The reason titanic was assumed to have 4 blade was because Olympic and Britannic both have a 4 bladed central propeller. The documents from the ship builder made public around 2007 are the only evidence that titanic may have had 3. The theory is Titanic was supposed to be the test for the 3 blade configuration but since it sank Olympic was supposedly fitted with a three blade propeller and later was switched back to a 4. Britannic was later fitted with a 4 blade propeller after this test at time of launch. The document ls also do specify changes in configurations during construction as far as blade pitch and angles. The only physical evidence available is at the bottom of the ocean and the central propeller is buried.
