I have a problem with a 2004 Citroen C2 hdi I recently bought with some electronic bugs. I don't know if they would disappear with the procedure in this video.
here is the list of those bugs:
1 - room light does not light up when driver's door opens (LHD), almost always. when the passenger door (right side) opens, it lights up.
2 - trunk door does not open always. we must first open the passenger door to unlock the trunk.
3 - sometimes when we turn on the key before start the engine we heard a noise like "trrrrr" in the clocks area
4 - sometimes when we fire the engine and fasten the seat belt we heard a "beep" warning 3 times, but there is no warning lights on, neither any other warning.
5 - reverse lights only light up with the engine running. this is not normal. all my other cars and all cars I had can light up the reverse lights without engine running, being enough to turn on the key. that is normal.
    ........
if someone knows about these bugs, I appreciated tell me something.
I don't want to make the procedure on this video before dissipate some doubts and I'm afraid it could stay worse than it is.

This is a very delayed response. As an owner of a 2007 c2 1.1 petrol. The trunk for only opens when any for is open first. This is to ensure noone opens your trunk when you are on the traffic lights and steals your stuff, this happens also on vw and opel cars from my experience so it's normal.for 1,2,3 you must have a door switch fault and it doesn't register your driver door opening or closing.

Thanks for the video, unfortunately, useless for me unless i dismount the drivers electrical window.
Long message here but hope it could help some owners (sorry for the bad English, i'm french) :
    Let me explain :
I suddenly had an issue with my 03/10/2006 Citroën C2 1.4i "Tonic" :
    Context :
    Battery was replaced in 09/2021.
The car had a front crash at approximately 30/40 km/h in 03/2022, airbags and seatbelts pretensioners deployed. Radiator pierced and coolant leaked but weirdly not all of it. Front end inside the engine bay being messed up and tighter, ventilator cuddling the engine and being completely stuck.
But since it was still running, drivable despite the alarms about airbags and me definitely not having the money to fix it, i still used it after a few month of sleep, afraid of roasting the engine but ending up to needed it too much. Battery gone flat and manage to recharge it with a plug charger. Always using the heating at full power since as i guess an approximately way to cool the engine ;) But never have any temperature alert !
Moving forward i let it sleep once more for a couple of month during winter 2023. battery gone flat and i recharged again.
Now, the sugar on the cream.
After using it for the last weeks one day it suddenly died completely : Remote opening didn't work, i manually opened it with the insert key but only the drivers door, central locking wasn't working too. Put the key in, turned and... nothing happened. No dashlight, no sign of life, Electrically completely dead. Despite the GPS insurance device plugged in my OBD, nothing was working.
Obviously My first thought was the battery. So i recharged it again with the charger put it back in but still nothing.
So i guessed a fuse gone bad. Checked the ones visible and randomly manipulate them, it ended up to turn on. Naively, guessed the problem was solved and quit.
But Next day it was dead again. So i checked and tested with a multimeter every fuses of the BSI (inside) and BSM (engine bay). All good. Cleaned approximately en earth wire connexion full of grease behind the battery. Cleaned EVERY plug i could see too with contact spray. Then i realized either when i sometimes disconnected and reconnected the battery or the "shunt" fuse, a single beep could be heard under the dashboard (sound more like a "donnng..." precisely). This being the only clue of life i had, i kept connect and disconnect those randomly, without paying attention to the exact configuration at the moment (doors closed/open, key in or out..) And it strangely finally came back to life by it's own after a few minutes. This being weird and spooky as hell, i naively hoped it should be fixed..
Again, the next day it gone dead. So i decided to dismount the BSI and checked inside. No burns, completely clean. tried the same with the BSM inside the fuse box but it seems glued so i didn't tried to open it. Again, no corrosion whatsoever in the fuse box or maxi fuses.
SO like i said i can't easily try this procedure since i obviously can't open my window.. because.. it's electric... (laugh in pain)
According to the few threads i found describing the exact same issue with very similar cars :
    frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=69976&sid=b268a061a5db379a83274672069e5eaf
    citroenc3owners.com/viewtopic.php?t=2819
The problem seems to come from the BSI. Either being wrongly programmed as having an automatic gearbox instead of a manual or just gone bad.
I'll test my battery soon to be sure if it's faulty or not (i tested it and it still had 12.3 volts wich i guess should be enough to light up the car and proved to be, since it still randomly start 2 times before definitely die since) And try the reset BSI procedure if i have faith to dismount the window. Or bring it to Citroën for a diagnostic. Or throw the freaking card in a scrapyard.
Hope this could help some owners.
    My advice:
Next time, buy a Toyota Yaris.

Doesn't work for me. I have 2007 Peugeot 407 2.0 HDI. I did a DPF refill myself as I was quoted $700. I purchased Lexia adapter, it can connect to the ECU perform actuation tasks but can not read error codes. I tried even with the original Lexia adapter still not reading any error codes, but "diesel particulate filter level too low, repair needed" message flashes up every time i start the car...

    • @rzepekpl
      @rzepekpl Před 6 lety +1

BSI reset will not help you and this message doesn't produce an error code as far as I know, there is a small container that is close to the tank underneath the vehicle, this container needs to be filled up with the correct amount of additive and the correct additive, through Lexia you can read how big is the container and how much fluid was used, top up the necessary amount, once done you have to tell the computer the refill was performed, for some of you thinking about doing this without filling the tank... just don't do it okay? Unless you're prepared to fork out a lot more for a brand new DPF, this fluid is necessary for proper operation of the DPF filter, the message says it is low and it needs topping up, once done just tell the computer its been done.

Its one of two problems : the engine coolant temperature checker, or the wiring leading to it. Its a sensor mounted on a nut, you can only see cables connected to a greed connector, that then leads to the engine. This part is UNDER the air filter on petrol models, it has to be removed. If you can follow the cable, maybe check the voltage through the system you should be fine. One day it will completely fail and the ECU will lock you out of startign your car completetly

Try this first, it might be a silly thing to say but if it has been quite a while since it stopped working remove the bulb again and replace with a newer one, don’t don’t put the old one back in,
One other thing to do, remove the wiring plug fits into the headlight unit, find the wire that feeds your dipped light and check if power is coming through to feed the dipped light.
