Carter's devotion to this series is so heartwarming. I really hope they consulted him or allowed him to help a little with 4. It's clear he loves this series and I can't imagine how great it would feel for him to work on it again.
@@IamaPERSON As far as I am aware, it's only a few ex-lionhead studios members that will be coming back to work on it. But I haven't heard anything regarding the original creators, people like Peter Molyneux, Dene or Simon Carter and so on.
@@thisusernameisalreadytaken5132 Very true! That and his willingness to talk to fans about it, to this very day, is a testament to how much making that game really meant to him. I think if Playground Games ever had doubts about the direction that they are taking the next game, then they couldn't go wrong in getting a few pointers from people like Dene.

It always amazes me to see that there is still a lot of passion for what could now be considered, somewhat of an old game. But like you say, at least in my opinion as well, Fable is most certainly one of the Greatest Of All Time! I don't think my love for Albion would ever truly die out!
This is the kinda of stuff I wish we would get more of from a remake/reboot of Fable TLC, if that ever happens.
If something like this was made by the developers themselves, then I am sure it would look and flow 100 times better than what I managed to achieve! I agree with you though, small things like these should really have been addressed in the Anniversary Version... rather than just giving the game a new coat of paint.
Wonderful work as usual Avarice. I checked the twitter link and honestly you captured this meeting perfectly. I don't know how you got the voices to do this, but it worked well and it all makes sense. Two legendary heroes conversing over the future, their stories not quite done in the shaping of Albion for the future
Thank you for the amazing feedback! I used an AI Voice Cloning site known as Elevenlabs. It can be a little tricky at times to try and get the voices how you want them, especially if they try to pronounce certain words. You may have even noticed this a bit with Scythe's voice in this video. I know what you mean, when I first read that page I knew I had to make some kind of video on it. Even if it was something as small as me just talking about it lol.
These two should have definitely had an interaction in the game at some point. I know Theresa was gone by the time Scythe showed up, but she could've stuck around for the Northern Wastes story arc, probably being a similar role to what she would later have in Fable 2.
Yeah, it's a bit of a shame that they decided for Theresa to completely disappear after the events of the Chamber of Fate. Still, it was great to see that the Oracle changed his story about Theresa, based off the choice you made.

Whose voices were these BTW? I doubt you managed to track down their actual voice actors, and Scythe kinda sounds a bit like Commander Worf from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
@@TheBillliantOne Oh no, haha. I wish I could get the actual voice actors! I used AI Voice Cloning, which takes samples of their existing dialogue and tries to replicate whatever text you try to write in that voice. The site I use is called Elevenlabs and it costs around £5 a month in order to add your own samples. Like you say, there are certain flaws to certain voices. The ones I am struggling with are Scythe, like you pointed out, and the Guildmaster.
Damn I hope A.I can make those early locked quests at the begin of the game.
Haha, they aren't locked. They are dummies that were designed strictly for a cutscene involving Briar Rose (and to make her look more experienced than you) hence why one of them disappears after said cutscene :)
1:16 Don't know why, but this scene reminds me of those "character wins" scenes from tekken. The character walking out while saying a line and then turning to the camera. Wouldn't mind a fighting game from Fable series, could be funny.
That's a very good comparison, I never looked at it that way! A fighting game based around all of the Fable games would be such a neat idea! Imagine Reaver fighting Jack of Blades and having banter together before the fight starts lol.

Wait scythe is Teresa and the heroes grandfather?
It's never directly confirmed, but there are hints at Scythe being William Black. According to Dene Carter, Scythe was meant to be "his own character" but when making TLC, they decided to make it so.

I edited the cutscene using a modding program (ChocolateBox) and then I used a site called ElevenLabs to clone the voices of both Scythe and Theresa.

No problem! You can find the ChocolateBox program on the Nexus Mods page for Fable: TLC. I have a guide if you need help getting that running. As for a tutorial on how to make animations, like you pointed out, I don't really have one at the moment. But knowing that there are people like yourself who are interested in making their own, I will see what I can do for you. Stay tuned!
