F& Scammers...
There’s a note inside the sack that says “CHEATER!”
It contains two steel ball bearings
Lmao! Exactly. What is this “be nice” ask “a question!?” Now YT is trying to guide us what to say. Get fucked YT!
@@connorlancaster7541 don’t care bud
@@tee1up785 I’m pretty sure Chris added that in himself. I’ve seen other channels that don’t have guidelines.
@@connorlancaster7541 why did you randomly pull out the Bible? Stuff like this just scares people away. Good going
I really love how you explain and get into the details of each puzzle. It really shows the love you have for this. Great work Chris.
Couldn’t agree more. You can tell it’s a true passion
@@connorlancaster7541 dude! Did you do every comment?!?
@@billyblack2192 I don’t think every comment.
I love the documentary feel to the video and taking the time for production value versus one camera / one shot for these items. Bravo!
So you really didn't read what was inside?WTF
You literally have the coolest Trinkets and yet they all hold so much history and culture. I feel like we get a chance to look back at what was used as entertainment in the past. Very cool 👏🏽
I agree, it's really cool and interesting
@@Microdave75 Hello putin saab
Khalilah, how are you doing? I've seen you almost everywhere so, I've been wondering how you do it. Well, probably all except some sports.
Are we really expected to believe that you didn't take a peek at what's inside the satchel?
Why would you leave us hanging like this? Not counting the poor ghosts who have been hanging around ever since just waiting for someone to finally solve the unsolvable puzzle! You owe them man! You owe them!
It was most likely empty
@@ChurroMyChicken But we don’t know, do we?
I saw like a an outline of a coin kinda when he was showing it like a large old one dollar coin. That’s what the outline looked like to me
there wouldn't have been a camera cut if he didn't look, its obviously some 1800's nonsense note about how "magic is real". works better for his video not to show whatever cringe it is
@@benpalmer1116 settle down its not a dick, don't take it so hard
I had an awful day and this 5 minute footage actually helped me escape a bit. All the care and love put into it is absolutely breathable
I love the direction you took in this video, not just talking about the puzzles and how to solve them, but talking about them as they should be seen: art. You discuss the motivations of the creators as well as the possible meaning behind the puzzles themselves. This was a beautiful video and I love the change of pace from your normal content. Thank you for giving us another way to look at puzzles such as these.
Please more unusual stuff! Definitely love these old puzzles/oddities
That intro was amazing, both my grandfathers were engineers and they always spoke of how, "In the old times, things were built better". They both shared a love for horology, and I was lucky enough to be given both my grandfathers watches to carry on. They still function to this day, and are a reminder of the spectacular feat of engineering. One is a Hand-wound movement, it is an Army tool watch with no brand name attached to it and the other is a Seiko 5 with an automatic rotor. I have never had them serviced, but they sit in my collection and I wear them from time tot time. The intro reminded me of timepieces and my love for how well made things were.
I call fowl on the last puzzle ? If it truly was never meant to be solved, they would have never drilled a hole in it. Now you left all of us wonder what was inside that leather bag ? Not Cool man !!! Gave you a 👍 anyway. LOL
The power of mystery
prob just a paper that says subscribe honestly lol
"Foul" not "fowl"?
No, he's crying fowl. Maybe he is saying Chris is chicken for not looking?
@@connorlancaster7541 I would recommend Spencer Smith and Jacob Israel to watch.
You’re getting so amazingly good with your cinematography!
What you mean getting.... 🤔He has been amazing for a long time😅😂😜🙄
I love these “unusual” videos. They have a soul, all of them. Brilliant!!!
I love this video so much. As someone who is an antique toy collector myself. I mostly collect antique dolls but I started when I was 15 years old and these toys on the video are so cool!
"Not cool - not cool Germain!" 😂
Man, I really enjoyed this!
Such cool, beautiful puzzles that have stood the test of time.
Cheers for sharing Chris 🙏🏻
Jake powa !!!
I feel like we need more videos about these historical puzzles and other lovely treasures you may find, it's so interesting!
Admit it.. you know what's in that pouch! You looked and you know.. you just want everyone to THINK that you actually have that much control over your curiosity! Magicians are the type of people that like to be the ones who discover other people's secrets then keep those secrets to themselves.. to be "in the know", if you will! So, yeah, no doubt, you know what's in there! Lol!
I’m pretty sure that there is a note that says something like ‘cheater’ in the thing, that’s what people before found
This is one of my favorite videos you have ever made Chris…I love history, I love magic, and I have a huge puzzle collection…please keep making videos like this just to keep the history of these things alive
I love this format so much! It's really, really well done. So enjoyable and chill :D
Really cool. Would love to see more historical puzzle mini docs like this.
Wonder if we can have someone X-ray the bag to see what’s in there. Maybe it’s the world’s troubles (great job, Pandora)
For real Chris you can not tell us you did not open that bag in your personal time xD
I think he put the bag in the box and added the story to end the Podcast with something to ponder over
"They don't make them like they used to"
I cried
"...something more important than currency. It harnesses values which have since been lost..."
I wept
Beautifully done, Chris! Thanks for reminding us of the simpler things in life that we’ve since forgotten! Keep it up, man, your content is king! 🤘🏼
You are so right, these puzzles are more about a lost time we can never find again. I enjoyed seeing these in all of their nostalgia 😎
Plot twist:
Inside the bag is the tool to open the box...
Dude, I have watched your videos for some time and have always loved them. This was far and beyond. I love the story and thoughts on values lost when talking about the coin bank.
Again with this awesome story telling with a amazing piece, I love this style. Thank you Chris.
This video is outstanding! You managed to awake a special kind of feeling. A mixture of melancholia and nostalgia. You instinctively think about what it might have been like back then and start wailing a past you were never a part of. A true masterpiece.
186. GERMAIN, KARL (CHARLES MATTMULLER).
GERMAIN’S PUZZLE BOX.
Circa 1930. Wooden protractor case with a hidden internal
compartment which only opens with the use of a special
tool concealed as another part of the device. With a
embossed metal plate bearing Germain’s name attached
below the engraved brass protractor on the surface of the
case. 4 x 5".
I would enjoy more of these types of videos! It’s intriguing to see puzzles from such a different time. Makes me wanna experience what life was like in the 1800-1900. Granted they were terrible times I’d still be interested in what they came to create to keep themselves entertained during these times. Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful video. I love seeing your collection and hearing the history behind these toys. Also love your philosophical tidbits. Thanks!
Love this video. The curiosity is killing me though!!! How could you not show us what is inside the satchel?
This was peaceful, i liked every bit of this clip. Im a collector myself, i love collecting and spending my money on things that were preserved for decades or centuries. My late grandfather had a hidden room, when he built the house he wanted a space for himself at that time in movies and some rich people had those types of hidden rooms where you twist sculpture’s head to open the door or pull a particular book from the shelf. He had something new I couldn’t find it yet but my dad once been there when it was open and he took a picture. my grandfather started out as a journalist and somehow got obsessed with ancient artifact in his journey, later he become an explorer, not one’s who ventured out for treasure but in his time visiting pyramids was a big deal, so he kinds found many thing and retired at the age of 65 and before he passed away he told my dad that who ever opens that door gets to keep what evers inside( none of the items in there worth anything they’re just ancient collections not very expensive) now i myself a collector and curious what in there and my dad told me before he died 4 years ago that i should try but dont wreck the house, i wish i could listen to him but i give it 2 years and if i could than im gonna break that part of the house and fix it but get what i want. since im not around i live in qatar and my hometown is saudi arabia so when ever i visit i try it cant break the house cuz people live in it and dont have brother only sisters so i would take whatever inside that room. Dont judge me for my english i speak Arabic and took me 5 years learning and this is how far i got 😉
DUDE! Ramsey & team. This was by far one of your cooler videos for me to watch!
I have been watching you for years, and this is now my #1 fav style content from you, second is magic react, third is your many puzzles and the intros that accompany them. Congrats to you and your team for killing on youtube for so long. And please do something long-form like this video!! I'll be there with popcorn and smiles.
Keep up the great videos Chris I love hearing the history of all the different pieces and the love you have for the art of magic In the history of a puzzle making. I could listen to you explain these things all day long please keep showing us your great collection I can’t wait to hear more history on all the things you have in your world!
What a lovely video! The stories were amazing and the presentation just beautiful. Thank you so much! 💜
"It harnesses values that have since been lost." Amen Chris 🙏
This was truly a beautiful piece of art. Been subscribed for some years now and I just wanna say thank you for your consistency and amazing work. This was truly a masterpiece and should be an absolute keystone for any creator trying to make quality content. Thank you so much Chris Ramsey
I love the video!!! Please make more videos like this, it is fascinating where you can see the history of magic.
Your so good! I originally found you for your magic tutorial videos but your puzzle videos are also weirdly enjoyable
I came for a puzzle and stayed for that amazing video format, i hope there will be plenty of them, awesome work !!!
Yes please, i loved this video and I would love to see more like it. Very relaxing.
That was beautifully “unsatisfyingly”satisfying … love the history that just oozes from those items
History and puzzles just what I needed for a lunch break video! :)
I absolutely love this kind of videos! I don't have time to watch your longer videos anymore so I've been just listening to BoB while driving, but these shorter videos are perfect for me!
Its videos like these that remind me why I love this channel.
This was a great video. Please do more historical magic artifacts, and magicians. Love to hear a good story.
Appreciate it. Don't know if this is real or not.
Love the explanations brother! I specially enjoy the history behind every artifact you have.
Loved this video. The unusual vids are very informative and leave you wanting more. More unusual vids please
Please do more videos like this! This was so calming and interesting
I can listen to you all day. I love hearing about old treasures. It’s something about an artifact that represents a moment in time that I find fascinating. The thought that individuals were mind boggled over such simple yet complex for the time period is beyond intriguing. ASMR to my ears🤍🤍🤍
wow i love these old puzzles and stuff its amazing how they was made in the day and that so many would have played with them and used them love it more please
Never thought I would get chills watching a puzzle video
What an intriguing story! Thanks for creating this little piece of art.
Those items are so cool! Thanks for sharing.
Amazing documentary! I could watch Hours of this stuff!!!
That was a beautifully made video. Definitely my favorite!
It's fascinating to reminisce on classic puzzles while learning the history of each
Thank you so much that was so calming
Gahh. What's inside the satchel!? You can't do that to us 😅😅😅
Perhaps a note: SUBSCRIBE !!!
😆
What Amazing puzzles. The history of magic and puzzles makes me appreciate the art of magic and illusions. Thank you for sharing. Please Stay Safe, Happy And Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Liking the format of these videos. Thanks for always reminding me of my sense of wonder.
Super cool stuff! More of those!!!
This was soooo cool I like the way you edit your videos they always look like movies and make me SMILE
Beautiful. Thank you.
Nice stories ❤️👍 Thank you for making this video a reality... that is magical!
This was a very different video. It had heartfelt meaning and I could feel your appreciation for a time that none of us can go back to experience (for now, hopefully one day).
Just rearranging my collection and the gilded Holos are so dope.
More of this format please!!
I love your videos so much. You have made me want to make puzzle for when I do dnd games. :)
So nice and soothing definitely made me feel at ease and at the same time beautifully spoken
I really enjoy these storytelling trinket videos, please continue this series
Never have I been so touched by seeing antiques.
That was fascinating. Thanks so much CR.
Great video I love seeing the history of magic and puzles it makes me really really happy... That being said I'm kind of mad at you for not telling us what was in the bag even if you put the bag in there..... And if Really came with the puzzle And you truly didn't open it on your own time... Well kudos to you my friend I couldn't do it
Best feature of this video.
Knowing what's inside but not revealing what's inside. I approve.
Love this!
But I don't believe for one second that you didn't read what was inside that bag!
Hands down some of the best content you’ve made! I love a vast majority of your work, but the voice over and display of old Arcanum, is powerful!
That was beautiful. Thank you.
This was a really cool video. I loved the piggy bank segment especially.
You're such a good storyteller. This was really interesting.
Mesmerising..... fantastic, definetely
Awesome video. The calm and collective approach works well.
2:23 is literally scammers when you “tap in”😂😂
Wow! I love the history and mystery… now open that bag
So many old, unique and interesting puzzles in this video... you could start a puzzle museum.
Missed you the last couple of weeks. Your one of my favorite channels.
Chris!
Another AhMazing puzzle? I think so!!!
Thank you for all you do my guy.
That’s was a nice calming video, exactly what I needed right now.
OK let me start the bidding. £10 to open the bag.
wow! This was beautiful. Very well done
Great change of pace! Kinda wished for more detail, but it worked well, showcasing your versatility with film. Kudos, CR!
loved this style of vid!
Germain wasn’t the only duper😂 I really was getting excited about the satchel
Wow, magical items, beautifully shot
Awesome content bucket man!!! Please keep dong these!!! Brilliant!!!
Beautifully done once again!
I'm def looking in the bag lol.... probably wasn't anything in there....but awesome puzzle and great story
Magical mini-doc, loved it my man.
I think that last puzzle is supposed to be solved with an external tool.
You can make a guess the solution is the age old "think outside the box". With the protractor and the usage of the pentagram, it is philosophical symbolism of thinking outside obvious and find the answer else where. Math you have to find the solution.
Dunno just me maybe.
How do you find puzzles and stuff like that and what is the price range I would love to find old stuff like that but don't know where to start looking...thank you for any help you could give
