Hey Chris, amazing video as always, but I have a suggestion to make, when there are places that are difficult to show on camera because the angle is difficult or there isn't a lot of light instead of trying to show to the viewers take a picture of the drawing, clue or whatever you want to show and display it like a picture in picture for a moment while you continue solving! Keep up the incredible work!

That was cooler than the $30,000 chest. My favorite so far, hands down and by a mile. I think it was the fact that it had the "Indiana Jones" themed treasure hunt with the "Ancient Maya/Aztec" aesthetic vibe kicking PLUS the fact you actually got some treasure at the end with the nice gem! I wouldn't be surprised at all to find that is an actual fasceted precious gemstone of some value. *EDIT:* Jesse's website says the gem is real, it's a type of Irradiated Quartz called "Citrine" (i.e. does not occur in nature). Would have been really sick if it was Fire Opal though, since Fire Opal comes from South/Central America and was precious to the Aztec and Maya. (I dated a gemologist for 3 years back in the day, learned a lot from her). It is also yellow or orange. Emerald would be cool too, but probably too expensive.
*EDIT #2 : PLEASE POST THE FINAL SOLVE OF THIS PUZZLE!!* from a quick review of the comments, you missed the final solve! Comments say it was dealing with the scorpion and the cog-wheel thing and there is still more to solve! Would love to see the "final secret" in an update video! Thanks Chris, Cheers mate! 🍻

    • Ralph Ralpherson
      Ralph Ralpherson Před dnem

@Joshua Midgette Yes, I knew about the irradiated ammy, but most folks I've seen who purport to have "citrine" actually have iron stained quartz or just very yellow smokey quartz. (hence, irradiated naturally). The way I understand it, the only the iron chromophore in citrine can be natural is if a quartz deposit or vein is also located in a pegmatite with radioactive minerals, and I suppose that's more than probable...

    • Victor QuyUy

what would be a trip is there is a series of puzzles of this nature from each major ancient civilization ( Egypt, Mayan, Aztec, Japanese etc) that are individual puzzles but the last one requires you have all of the puzzles to solve it... Hints tools etc that are combined from the first ones to be used on the final ones solution.... and to make things even more wicked, one of the final puzzles gem is a real gem, lets say they release 500 finals and 499 use cubic zirconias and the last one uses a real diamond.... it would be one hell of a sales pitch

I love the card trick where you have 2 cards in the glass back to back and 1 card taped to the hat. You turn the glass to reveal each card but give the illusion that it changes every time then when you completely remove the hat you take one of the cards with you leaving only one card making people believe it was magic the whole time.

Sold out as of, hours after you posted the vid haha 🙂 Hey, but there's the "Jesse James Safebox" in the making, for $330, not sure if US or Canadian, on pre order.
This was awesome, I agree that some things were missed but that's why we love you Chris, at least it didn't end up hacked open with an angle grinder like that diamond pyramid hahaha!!😀

I believe that trick is done by concealing the other card by the hat with a string so it sits in the glass, and when you pull the hat away, the card comes out and displays the “one” card in the glass. But I could be very wrong as some the tricks I do are very complicated and require a lot of practice with slight of hand

The note says "the Spear shall aid thee in thy quest to double the power of the sea chest." The first puzzle in the series is called the sea chest. I think some of the components from this puzzle are meant to interact with the sea chest puzzle.

Thinking about this again, I am wondering if you discovered everything about the puzzle. The note said the writer died by the scorpion's sting. It was important enough to be in the only written clue. You also found a heavy metal coin which did not have an apparent use. If you did the wrong move
would the scorpion have locked the box? Maybe the coin was the key to unlock it?

Haven’t had a satisfying wood puzzle like this since the steam punk cube. How much did this puzzle cost?, is it possible for myself to purchase one?

More light! Table top cameras (facing into puzzle…left, right, front and rear) so you don’t have to pick the box up
