It happens a lot, especially when the jury and televote disagree a lot. Remember Jamala and Duncan won eurovision without winning neither the televote or the jury, and manizha got 8th both in tele and jury and finished 9th overall.

Remember: 50/50 system means that the televote and jury vote score must match in the same country. Doesn't matter that you got a 12 in the televote if you're last in the jury vote. Spain - while being lower than top 10 in both tellies and juries - must have had more countries that matched in terms of televote and jury vote; thus, a higher, more consistent, score. Australia 2016 would've won with this system. I personally hate this system for killing many good songs and rewarding lower-placed songs with higher points. The split system we have just rewards it as it is.
Considering the new voting system, here is how things would shape up comparing to original results.
- Top 5 is exactly the same order.
- Russia is above Ukraine.
- Poland, Romania and Finland are in top 10.
- Malta still in top half (13th), despite 17 points from tele.
- Denmark (15th) and Spain (16th) are worse comparing to the original result.
- No change at the bottom, France is still last, but Slovenia is above San Marino.

Yes they were. Televoting was responsible for 50% of the points, while the other 50% were the results of the national juries.

There's no proof that you guys got more 12's from the juries tho because the results they released in 2013 were the average ranks from the juries and the televote. Yes, you got more 12's overall if that's what you mean, but Eurovision has always been a consensus-type of contest.
